Amazon.com Review

Strong suction and surprisingly quiet operation make this heavy-duty steel vacuum the ideal tool for keeping garages and workshops spick and span. Powered by a 12-amp motor, robust airflow inside the tank keeps dirt from adhering to the Airwash self-cleaning filter. Combined with Hoover’s unique E-Z Empty design, this means no messy cleanup, and no bags and filters to buy or replace. The rugged, crush-proof hose is 30 feet long, easily reaching across a garage and into cars, while the wall-mount tank stays in place. No special exhaust vents or electrical lines are needed for this vacuum, so installation is a snap: simply mount on the included storage bracket and start cleaning. The six-foot power cord is designed to stay safely plugged in, and the five-gallon tank features enough capacity to clean up the toughest mess.A set of seven attachments serves every possible cleaning need, including two extension wands, two crevice tools, a floor nozzle, upholstery nozzle for car seats, and dusting brush for dashboards and dusty workbenches. A canvas organizer hangs from the hose storage rack to keep attachments neatly stored away.--Mary Park ... Read more

With a minimum freezing temperature of –4 degrees F, the Simac Gelato Junior takes only about 30 minutes to satisfy your craving for a frozen confection. Plus, the built-in compressor freezer operates continuously, so you can turn out multiple flavors of ice cream while your guests finish their dinner. A 60-minute electronic timer frees you up for other activities, and an automatic safety mechanism sounds a warning beep if the integrated spatula blade gets stuck. A removable 1-quart bowl, transparent lid, and slim ingredient window all simplify operation, and the unit is also useful for crafting frozen drinks and chilled soups. Though not lightweight at 31 pounds, the Gelato Junior is fairly sleek for its class, measuring 11 by 14 by 12-1/4 inches. Simac includes a booklet of tasty ice cream, sorbet, and dessert sauce recipes, as well as an ice cream scoop. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Ice cream? No problem!
A few simple steps: Turn on the machine and the refrigeration unit. Pour unfrozen ice cream or sorbet mixture into removable metal bucket. Insert stirring blade, set timer and start. Ice cream is ready in less than 30 minutes.

Refrigeration is more than adequate, moving parts are sturdy and well-designed, the price is 1/3 that of similar machines.

The unit is large but sleek. It looks fine on a countertop. Capacity is small, up to about 1 quart, but this isn't a real problem since it is so easy to make multiple runs.

No mechanical problems so far (2 months). I love my Gelato!

5-0 out of 5 stars Gaining weight has never been easier (or more delicious)!
I waited nearly two months for this, and when it finally came I was thinking it wouldn't see use until next summer. I was wrong. I've had to restrain myself to keep from making a batch a day! It's hard to imagine something much easier: mix the ice cream, pour it in, set the timer and go watch TV until it's done. The compressor is as quiet or quieter than the motor driving the paddle, so noise isn't a problem. The "manual" is really just a recipe book (with lots of delicious recipes), but what's to figure out? If I had to pick nits, I'd say that the slot to add ingredients mid-process is a bit skinny, and the fact that the freezer chamber lid can't be removed from the motor can make cleaning it a tad difficult.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent!!
This thing works great!!! Gets super cold and makes ice cream so fast.

The bucket and paddle detatch and are dish washer safe.

Top Notch

4-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use right out of the box.
UP: Can make multiple batches. Everything washes/sponges well.
My purpose for the ice cream maker was to make diabetic, no sugar, soy milk type recipes. I read the Amazon reviews, I scanned the internet for recipes, I'd gone bonkers trying to use the freeze cannister type ice cream maker. I was ready. When the machine came, the recipe book was more sophisticated, it used liquid sweetener. It takes more freezing time than the recipe indicates to get it cold enough, but if the beater is off and the machine is on, the ice cream will stay cold until you are ready to use it.
I did the recipes as written. My first and still our favorite is the maple syrup ice cream with pecans. I also use honey in this recipe. I have tried various other internet recipes and find that soy milk works best with pureed mango, chunk fruit added at end to prevent ice crystals. I have not made any custards using egg yolks, fat/colesterol,but am investigating a recipe using liquid lecithin. I've tried frozen yogurt, gelatin for thickener, and find that you either make a gelato/sorbet or make a rich cream ice cream. Inbetween takes alot of skill and practice. Plus,in a pinch, even strawberry jam and evaporated milk will make a great ice cream!
DOWN: Awful aluminum basket. I don't use aluminum anything, and would pay more for stainless steele. Everytime I scrape the ice cream out, I cringe. At first, there can be a buzzing sound if the beater insert unit is minutely off center, all you have to do is gently tweak right or left to perfectly align the beater head.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous for diabetics! Great service!
I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes shortly after purchasing this item. I was thrilled to find out that the custard ice cream recipes are high in protien and could be made with Splenda! (although the substitution makes the ice cream freeze harder) I have experimented with a variety of recipes and indulged my sweet tooth that way!
Our first machine we received was damaged in shipping, Amazon had a new machince out to us by FedEx within 2 days, and provided free shipping back for the damaged item. We were very pleased with the service. This machine is quiet, easy to use, and a MUCH better investment than one of the cheaper varieties...you'll get your money's worth and never go back to store-bought junk. :) ... Read more

Perfect for a small apartment or dorm room, this compact, countertop dishwasher holds four full place settings plus flatware in aseparate basket. It offers two wash cycles (normal and heavy), arinse-and-hold option, and optional drying. A beep signals the end ofboth washing and drying, while upper and lower spray arms providethorough cleaning. The 1250-watt appliance shuts off when the door isopened, an alarm sounds if a problem occurs, and another automaticfeature stops operation if the water overflows. Installing thedishwasher is simple: the water hose connects to a sink faucet(connector included), and another hose drains into the sink. 4-0 out of 5 stars Does the job, but for how long?
Actually I purchased my Haier Dishwasher in late Oct 2002, and since then it washed my dishes as good and in some cases even better than some of its larger counterparts. However, in the middle of February the machine broke completely down on me, and I was forced to call Haier to repair my machine. Within a couple of days they sent a contracted repairman, and the repairman discovered that the control board of the dishwasher broke down. After some miscommunication on my part, the repairman, and Haier, they finally shipped me a factory new dishwasher. I was without a dishwasher for one month, but since I'm rather patient, I still consider this good service. So, unlike some of the other customers who did not receive such fast response, I'd rate Haier with 'very good' on their customer service (takes time to contract the repairman, send them the cord as proof that I'm not using the machine, and them shipping the machine). Now, if this machine works for a longer time period, it'll get five stars (since it washes the dishes as good as some bigger machines do), however if it does break down again, it would hit the one star rating for me (i.e. not worth buying) ;) Unforuntely, seems there is nobody who had the machine longer than for a couple of months, so I might write an update later.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally something worth my hard-earned money!
I am extremely satisfied with my Haier America HDT18PA Space Saver Compact Dishwasher. It does a wonderful job washing my dishes and let me tell you...it gets them clean...no leftover food particles or residue (I checked every dish for an entire week as I put the dishes away).

The perfect size for apartments, campers, rvs, anywhere! My new dishwasher replaced my old dish draining rack...what perfect fit! And my Haier dishwasher is not "chintzy"; it is a solid machine, and created with superior craftsmanship.

I figured that the money I paid for the dishwasher is much cheaper than all the time I waste standing there doing dishes. I can spend time with my family after dinner, instead of being chained to the sink. The Haier Space Saver Compact Dishwasher can wash the dishes faster than I can...6 minutes for a "rinse and hold" cycle, 21 minutes for a normal cycle (42 minutes for a "normal" wash and dry), and 42 minutes for a heavy cycle (53 minutes for entire "heavy" wash and dry). I was shocked to see how little water the washer uses. And according to the energy saver sticker that was attached, washing 6 loads per week, for an entire year would only cost $26.00 worth of electric. That's cheap!

Not only am I in a much better mood now, my husband doesn't hear me nag about having to wash the dishes anymore. The Haier America HDT18PA is a definite must buy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, reliable, works wonderfully
I bought this dishwasher for our office, since we have a sink, but drain lines and under-counter connection would be a problem. Our sink was always cluttered with dishes! But now this unit is right next to the sink, it looks great, even a bit high tech. The water intake hose is so easy to connect to the faucet, the drain hose goes right into the sink and is long enough to wrap around the back of the faucet and down the side of the sink. Both hoses are long enough to put the unit a couple of feet away from the sink if need be. This washes our cups, plates, silverware, etc. However unlike a high powered under-the counter dishwasher, you have to load it reasonably, can't cram or things won't get clean. The heavy setting cycle works best overall. I am so glad we have this product and would buy it again, it's a real value!

3-0 out of 5 stars Countertop dishwasher
As countertop dishwashers go this one seems to be working wonderfully for my parents. We purchased the dishwasher last Dec 2003 for them for christmas and everything seems to be running wonderful. Mom didnt like the fact that the dishwasher does NOT dry the dishes but I tell her to do them at night and leave the door open and let them air dry. I too also own a countertop dishwasher (another company) and I have had mine for 6yrs and have never had a problem. It started out on my counter and has since been installed (no hoses hanging over the sink). I'm thinking about purchasing another one this year for my son and his girlfriend for christmas.

1-0 out of 5 stars Failed after 2 month
I want to suggest any potential buyer to stay away from this washer. It is a crap. I agree that it washes very well, but the drying capability is handicapped(does not dry the plates completely) and the worst part! It failed to work after only 2 month of normal usages. One day it just stopped working, and I am trying to contact the customer support right now, and it appears that the people answering the phone is in India and I have to wait for someone else to call me back in US. Not sure how long it will take.... Wish me good luck! and for thouse of you who has not yet purchased this washer, STAY AWAY! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars decent, but nothing spectacular
This is decent set of flatware. Its the first complete set I've ever purchased, so the only thing that I have to compare it against is the cheap garage sale stuff that I had in college. Overall, its a pretty decent buy...I bought it when it came with 4 bonus place settings...only the bonus place settings were the shiny finish and the regular 8 place settings were the the satin...I'm very picky about things like this and I was very upset. Another thing, the edges of the silverware are not smooth, they are sharper than I would like them to be. I was hoping for more, but at this price, I wasn't suprised when I was dissappointed by their lack of quality. If you are buying this to look nice and use it for family get togethers, unless you this is your first set of flatware, don't get it, save your money...if you are just starting out, its not a bad buy...go to a brick and mortar store though and buy it there, this deal is nothing special..plus that way you will get to see what you are buying if you don't like it, you don't have to get it. If I would have bought this at a brick and mortar store, I would have taken it back...just to much of a pain to send it back now otherwise I would. At least 8 of my 12 placesetting match. If I ever have more than 8 people over, I'll just keep the lights low.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Basic Flatware
This set of Oneida flatware is a joy to own; the pattern is simple, elegant, and easy to live with. The design is timeless and the flatware is very durable. They are easy care; just put them in the dishwasher and they come out shiny and as good as new. I bought one set a few months ago and came back to order another. It is a fantastic set of flatware and a great deal as well. I enjoy the serving set and the extra set of teaspoons that are included in the set. I just love the fact that I got a a great price AND a bonus service for four along with the service for eight on this order. Thanks Amazon!

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Durable
Have now had this flatware for nearly 6 months and it still looks as good as the day I received it. Well crafted, elegant looking yet durable enough for daily use. I'm more than satisfied with this flatware and highly recommend it (especially at this price!).

3-0 out of 5 stars $160 definitely not, $69.99 May by, $49.99 OK but not great
I got this set for $49.99 [In fact I got this set + oneida 20 piece set i.e. set for 12 for $63 shipped]. Same week a 93 piece set (for 12) went on sale in Cost-co for 69.99+tax (Original 79.99). I bought that one too so that I can compare when I get the Oneida set. After comparing apples to apples, I can confidently say that this is a great starter set but not even close to the one i purchased from cost-co.

Quality and finish are nice. I like the dune finish which is sort of dull chrome. Some pieces are showing dot of rust here and there (though its all stainless).

When Isaac Singer invented his first sewing machine in Boston in 1850, little did he foresee the range of home machines available today. Model 6038 offers just the right amount of bells and whistles to satisfy advanced sewers but not scare away novices. Pleasingly rounded in form, the free-arm design machine offers 46 stitch functions, 19 of which are built-in, with stitch width and length selectors, push-button reverse, and an extra-wide zigzag capability (6 mm). Other conveniences include an automatic one-step buttonhole system, top drop-in bobbin, automatic needle threader and easy threading system, 3-position needle selector, and twin needle capability. Six snap-on presser feet are included: all-purpose, buttonhole, button, zipper, zigzag, and blind stitch hem. Accessories can be stored in the machine and include three bobbins, seven needles, quilting guide, screwdriver, lint brush, oil bottle, and various extra parts. The machine features a built-in sewing light and carry handle. In addition to the comprehensive owner’s manual, an instructional video is included which certainly makes learning the threads easier. Singer covers the sewing machine with a 25-year mechanical warranty and two-year electrical warranty. --Ann Bieri ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and afforadable too!
I have been sewing on a Brother sewing machine for 13 years and decided I needed a new one. I'm so glad I got this one. It's metal construction makes it very durable, and the plastic outer shell makes it very attractive. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 14 years and supplement our income by making curtains and doing repairs, so I needed a new machine. This one is much faster than my old machine and has more power for sewing over those blue jean seams that are such a pain. I had no trouble with the needle threader or any of the other features and the video was very helpful in introducing me to my new machine. I am looking forward to making my daughters' Easter dresses on my new machine! I have to admit, some of the other reviews made me a little nervous, but I'm glad I bought this machine anyway. I think most of the complaints come from user error and impatience. I recommend this machine highly.

5-0 out of 5 stars First machine defective; second excellent!
The first machine that I recieved was defective. Singer felt that it was either a defective motor or a defective foot control pedal. Amazon quickly replaced it at no cost to me. The second machine was wonderful. I watched the video but found the instruction manual to provide better instructions on threading the machine. The customer service representative at Singer said that many people call them with threading issues on this machine. If you follow the instruction manual you shouldn't have a problem. The features seemed quite easy to use. I tried out most of the stitches and they looked great. No tension problems. I used the button hole foot within an hour of opening the box and after a few adjustments had a perfect button hole. After watching the video I decided to try freehand monogramming. They recommend a hoop to stabilize the fabric. I didn't feel like hunting one down so I tried it without. I was absolutely amazed to find that I was able to produce beautiful professional looking script monograms quickly. Now all of the neighbor kids want one. Based on my experience with this machine I would highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars I am so happy with my new Singer!
I can not sing the praises of my Singer 6038 loud enough. While I've been sewing for years, this is the first machine I've purchased that wasn't second hand. So I did quite a bit of research and read lots of reviews to find a machine that would be easy to learn and could sew delicates and heavier fabrics. The Singer 6038 won out as the best machine in my price range and I am super happy with it. This machine is very easy to use, easy to thread, and has so many great stitches to chose from. It's also very light, which is a bonus for those of us who don't have dedicated sewing areas and have to pick up and store their machines frequently.

My absolute favorite feature of my new Singer is the one step button hole feature. It is amazing! I have never been able to do a good button hole and would go so far as to pick out buttonless patterns, but no more! With my new Singer, I am able to do near perfect (will be completely perfect with more practice) button holes.

And I nearly forgot to mention how cute this machine is!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent sewing machine!
I am very happy with my new machine. It's the first new sewing machine I've had in 42 years, and it is just as good as my trusty, and wonderful, old Singer "portable" machine. It is even more lightweight, probably because of the outside plastic case. I find it to be very simple to use. The automatic threader works beautifully, and is a great feature. The machine was easy to learn to use by watching the video and reading quickly through the instruction booklet. My only complaint is minor: the bobbin does not fill up more than half way before it automatically stops. I've learned to fill up two bobbins at a time, just because they seem to run out quickly while I do my machine quilting. I've made several quilted tote bags and one baby quilt so far, and it has been excellent for those jobs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Deal
I am a novice who bought this machine for my sewing class. It had many features that are hard to find in a machine under $200, with free shipping! Some of my favorite features are the top-drop in bobbin, automatic needle threader, and most importantly the one step button hole. There are lots of different stitches too, with horizontal thread delivery. Threading the machine and bobbin are very easy, and if you have trouble, the video is simple and easy to understand. I highly recommend this machine for anyone who wants a simple machine with lots of features. ... Read more

Satisfy a roomful of guests calling for caffeine with the Jura-Capresso Impressa S9, the luxury automobile of home espresso centers. Both beautiful and powerful, the machine grinds, tamps, and brews delicious shots of espresso in 50 seconds and steams or froths milk without a wait. It's built with a dual 1250-watt ThermoBlock heating system, a forceful 18-bar power pump, and a distinctive emphasis on choice. You can steam milk manually or automatically, make drinks with or without foam, and grind for light or dark roasts. You can tailor your drinks' strength (5 to 16 g of coffee), size (1/2 to 16 ounces), and temperature (regular or high). You can even adjust the machine for water hardness, raise and lower the coffee spout, and regulate the separate hot water spigot.

Backing these options is a professional-grade, solid steel conical burr grinder with six settings and an aroma-saving design. A pre-infusion cycle conditions grounds for maximum flavor and the CLARIS water filter removes impurities for improved taste. The S9 also includes an illuminated coffee area, cup-heating deck, separate funnel for pre-ground coffee, and automatic indicators on the water tank, grounds hopper, and filter cartridge. The bean reservoir holds 10 ounces--enough for 40 shots--and the water tank holds 96 ounces. The unit also features auto shut-off, auto-on, self-rinse, and self-cleaning. The programmable control panel uses a two-line display with simple instructions in seven languages.

With its dual-tone bronze finish and chrome accents, the Impressa S9 is undoubtedly a looker. It is also designed to fit under kitchen cabinets, measuring 14 by 14 by 15-1/4 inches with a retractable power cord. Jura-Capresso includes an instructional booklet, video, and CD-ROM, plus a full one-year warranty for home use and a six-month one for offices. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars At last: the coffee achiever's dream machine!
Setting up the Jura was simple, taking about 10 minutes. After adjusting the grind setting and quantity of ground coffee per cup, we had flawless espresso shots in less than 30 seconds each, with the creamiest, most flavorful crema. The espresso non-drinkers in the house can have their "regular" coffee by pressing the "Special coffee" button, which dispenses up to 16 ounces of coffee at a time. Great for the big "go-cup". I set the Jura to power on at 5 am, and trust me, at that time of the morning I am in no shape to grind beans, measure coffee and fill water tanks. Now, all that's history. All I do is press a single button to run the rinse cycle, press a button for either a single or double shot, and in no time, I get the most flavorful, richest espresso I have ever had. We bought our machine at a local retailer, where we were told that they can't keep the machines in stock. I totally understand why.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the best, BMW of Espresso Machines
If there is such a thing as the BMW 750 of coffee machines, this is it! A beautifully enginered machine that produces professional results every time. I have had earlier versions of this flawless coffee maker, but this really delivers better coffee than most coffee stores. Cappuccino, Latte, Double Espresso is produced perfectly. Others in our family use it to produce hot water for tea, soup mixes, cocoa, but one may preprogram this for several personal choices of coffee brewing and it comes out perfect every time. I really like this machine!

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally Awesome
If you like all types of coffee and complete ease of use, you will be thrilled with this machine. It has been & is used a lot! It tells you exactly what to do and when to do it in order to keep in it top condition. I thought my husband was nuts when he spent so much money for a coffee maker for my birthday, but after 3 years of almost continual use, I can't imagine using anything else. Everything about it is easy, easy, easy. The coffee is hot & consistently great tasting, it is fast, and the Capresso machine is super easy to clean. Friends come over just for the coffee. Whether you need one cup or two, whether you use beans, ground coffee, use frothed milk, and/or steam, whether you use a large cup & your husband uses a smaller one, the Capresso machine easily adjusts with each cup. Minor issue -- I'm not in love with the manual. It's not hard to use, it's just not great. I think it could be laid out a tad better. The video that came with our Capresso made up for that. It's the perfect coffee center for anyone who is very discriminating in their coffee taste.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great coffee - Be aware of long-term maintenance costs
I purchased this machine's predecessor, the Jura S90, about 4 years ago. Since no one's owned an S9 for that long, it's hard to say for certain what the maintenance costs for the S9 will be, but I thought those considering buying it might appreciate knowing that it will likely require a certain amount of annual or biennial maintenance.

The S90 has one part that needs replacing after approximately every 2000 shots, which in my house means about once every 18 months. There are also seals and similar parts that again will need service periodically. This machine appears to be mechanically very similar to the S90, so it will likely have similar maintenance characteristics.

Over the last 4 years, I've had the machine serviced twice by Jura, and once by a local repairman. The cost of repairs was around two hundred dollars including parts each time... My front panel switches are also starting to misbehave, though, so the next repair may be more expensive.

This machine costs enough (and is good enough) to be worth repairing, but if you're expecting a machine to last the ages without any repairs, you'll likely be disappointed.

I can't really fault the machine for needing periodic maintenance, though. You could get a commercial machine with heavy-duty parts for 2-3 times the price, and that would need periodic maintenance, too (though the parts would last longer). Just be aware that by buying a high end machine, you've moved out of the "disposable" machine range and into the "pay to fix it" range. "Never needs fixing" doesn't exist.

As to the quality of the coffee, I've tried this one, and the quality is the best I've tasted from a super-automatic.

4-0 out of 5 stars Helpful Hint
A couple of previous reviews complained about blockages that quickly developed in their machines. I had the same problem after less than a month of use, where the brewed coffee would drip out very slowly, threatening to cease altogether. I told my wife she should return the machine, but she called Jura's customer service number, which is printed on the cover of the instruction booklet. The representative gave her a fix which is not mentioned in the troubleshooting section of the manual. It's difficult to describe, but it involves removing the grounds tray, poking a finger up through the chute and finding damp grounds that are stuck by a screen there. They can be wiped away with a paper towel and that should clear up the problem.
Otherwise, I recommend reading fhimas88888888's review for realistic advice, especially about the lifespan of a machine. This is my second super-automatic espresso machine, as a Saeco awaits repairs before becoming an office machine for my wife. They make very good coffee and espresso with relative ease and convenience. They're also great conversation pieces, although by now I find it tedious to demonstrate the machine for awed guests. If you love espresso, lattes, etc., the price of a super-automatic machine is worth it, although you can find one for less than half the cost of this Jura. I give the machine four stars because I wouldn't want to live without it, but I'm withholding a fifth star because I suspect competing machines are virtually as good. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Worked great until it broke
This was a wonderful salad spinner for the several months it worked. Then it broke. In my kitchen, very few things break. The occasional wooden spatula after fifteen years of use is fine but things tend not to break unless I drop them. This is my second Oxo product that broke while I was using it (the other one was a knife--yes, a knife snapped in two while I was cutting).I still love my Oxo peeler but with two out of three of my Oxo products breaking, I'm done with Oxo for the most part.

1-0 out of 5 stars worked well until it exploded
I bought this item and used it for about 2 months, then It exploded while I was spinning a salad and was impossible to repair. I went on to buy a Tupperware salad spinner (green) and have been using it for four years with no problems at all.

4-0 out of 5 stars Agree it's great ... but it has 1 huge problem
This has got to be the best salad spinner ever, on that point I agree with all the other rave reviews. But just try picking this unit up off a shelf when you have wet hands--or even dry hands!!!!!!! It's difficult!!!! Just wish they would put a small, very small, handle, ridge or inset on the bowl!!! Please!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars So USEFUL!!!
This is by far the most used thing in my kitchen... I'm not much of a cook, so I make a lot of salads.I used to cut my romaine and spread it all over the counter on paper towels to blot it dry.I got the salad spinner from a friend, and it has been awesome! The lettuce is practically dry to the touch after you spin it once or twice. This is definitely worth the price and more!

5-0 out of 5 stars The best
This salad spinner is wonderful. It has a lock top, to make it easier to store.Plus, the spinner is strong enough to spin my potatoes when I want to make French Fries!

It is sturdy...easy-to-clean...easy-to-store (you can slip other things inside it). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Even Baking!!!!! Wow!!! Great Gift for Hope chest/Bridal
Ok, I'm not like the best cook, but these bakeware products by Calphalon make it hard to mess up.

This is a great set because:

1. TWO 8" round pans- You always need 2 pans when you're making a cake and for the price amazon has this whole set is like the same as just buying the 2 pans.

2.Jelly Roll Pan- This multipurpose! It has just enough sides on it to cook brownies, but flat enough to also make cookies. Also Calphalon products are great about not sticking!

3. Loaf Pan is great size for banana nut bread for the holidays!!

4. 6 Cup Muffin Pan- perfect for the cook who needs those few muffins in the morning for a small family

5-0 out of 5 stars Pulls perfect espressos shots every time
I was a little dubious about spending so much for a coffee machine, but this little coffee robot is like a new member of the family. When I go to Starbucks, I get a decent double espresso one out of every ten or so times. This wonder pulls them just right every time and fits under the cabinets. The smooth stainless steel exterior matches some other kitchen appliances and was a big deciding factor for me since I wanted a machine with some style.

The reconditioned one I received had no scratches or other problems, and seems to be running fine!

5-0 out of 5 stars No need to go to Starbucks anymore
I purchased the Italia at Starbucks 2 years ago (for a lot more money) and have been using it daily. This machine is easy to use, and easily adjusts ground to water ratio to get the perfect espresso. Frothing works great. The newer model has a swivil steam wand that can rotate in and out and not just left to right like this model AND an additional rack on the top cup warmer to keeps cups from falling off (not worth the additional cost-I never had a cup fall off).I save money every day by not buying a Venti from Starbucks since I can make a more consistent quality coffee myself.ENJOY! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty, easy & fun to use, great pasta!
I decided to purchase this attachment instead of the other Kitchenaid pasta attachment (plates + food grinder) because I wanted to be able to make any kind of pasta: spinach, semolina, whole wheat, egg-free etc, and not be confined to a small number of recipes that were sure to work well with the plates. It has worked like a charm. Even the egg-free spinach pasta, which was very dry and crumbly to start, came out perfect.

The widest setting on the roller works to knead/roll the dough until its pliable enough to continue. Its amazing how such flaky dough can become so evenly mixed with minimal effort. From this point, its just a few more settings until you've got angel-hair thin dough. It is important to use the cutter before the ends of your dough dry out, lest they will clog the cutter.

Pasta is my favorite food, and this contraption makes it possible to make my own healthy, delicious pasta recipes at home, quickly!

5-0 out of 5 stars An Extra Set of Hands
Ya gotta love this three piece attachment set. The roller set is truly like having an extra set of hands. It not only does the cranking for you (vs hand cranking) but you feed the dough in from the top and gravity takes over pulling it through (vs pulling it through laterally on a hand crank machine). It really is like having another person helping you prepare the pasta dough.

The cutters work very well, too. I would encourage you to run at least two batches of dough through each set of cutters and throwing away the resultant noodles before actually using the cutters in making pasta to eat. This will get out the fine metal shavings in the cutters. From then on you're good to go. Also, I invested another $15 at Amazon for a simple wooden pasta rack. Well worth the money and much more elegant than hanging your noodles over the back of a chair. Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy and fun! (And delicious, too.)
I never imagined that putting together fresh homemade pasta would be so easy, but these roller attachments are wonderful. And on top of that, they're actually fun to use -- my husband was so interested in what I was doing that he ended up joining in and helping me roll out and cut the pasta dough. If I have any complaint, it's that I was a little surprised that the supplied booklet claims you need to boil fresh pasta for six minutes. Mine is ready in two minutes at most.

Don't stress about the "no washing in water" instruction -- pasta dough is so dry and non-sticky that the brush and a toothpick should be more than sufficient to get your attachments clean. I'm also happy to report that I didn't find any metal shavings in the "throw-away" dough I made, though it's probably a good idea to run a batch of test dough through anyhow to be on the safe side.

Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it so far
UPS brought this heavy package 20 minutes ago. Eventhough I am female, I didn't read the instructions and I have fettucini drying as I write. I can't wait to taste it. It was so simple and fast. The 3 attachments are truly heavy duty.

I was looking for a crank type pasta maker when I stumbled accross this "attachment" option. I already own the big, expensive Kitchenaid mixer. Eventhough the attachments are more money than the "crank" things, I opted for this one and am glad that I don't have yet another "appliance" to store like that breadmaker.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastico!
I got this as a gift, and I was really impressed with the quality of it. Even though I had no particular desire to make my own pasta, this set of gadgets was so gorgeously wrought that I just had to use them. Each one of the three attachments is a seriously heavy, all-metal mechanized marvel. The quality of craftsmanship easily eclipses that of the current Kitchen-Aid mixers themselves!

To my delight, I was making superb fettuccine in no time at all. The fact that the only manual labor involved is a little bit of kneading is simply amazing. I found speed 4 was the optimal one; slower and the dough was more likely to get bubbles in it.

I had the dirt problem with the first batch, so I just ran that through about a million times and then threw it away. All the subsequent batches came out flawlessly.

The pasta I made was lighter and smoother than any pasta I have made from dried or fresh store-bought pasta. The texture was very pleasing. More variety in the cutter attachments would be nice, and I'd gladly pay for more choices. That said, even with the existing shape choices, this product is superb. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The last BBQ Tool Set you'll ever need...
While a little intimidating when you first take it out of the box, once you get it unwrapped and get the secure, sturdy aluminum case snapped open you'll begin to admire both the simplicity and design of the Set.

I got mine as a wedding present, and I've already gotten a lot of quality use out of it. Most of the tools are long handled to give you good clearance from the heat, and the spatula is not only wide enough for the Big Burgers but it also has a sharpened edge to allow you to check "doneness" without having to reach for another tool.

The fork, knife, tongs, and basting brush are also well designed for their purposes and the Four "kebob" skewers are made out of solid, polished metal so the food slides right off. The eight corn picks are a nice touch, as are the salt and pepper set (they arrive empty, so fill them with the spice/rub of your choice), and for after-grill cleanup there's a nice and solid grill brush with spare head.

Everything fits securely in its own place either with elastic straps or with velcro attachments, so nothing clatters around when you move it from your kitchen, to your deck, to your tailgate party, to your...well, you get the idea. *grin*

5-0 out of 5 stars BBQ Camper
This BBQ Kit is as cool in person as it looks online. The pieces are all very good quality and everything you need is included. I like the aluminum case so we can take it camping with us. I know my friende will be green with envy when I start dishing up the ribs this summer with the great spatula.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Industrial
The perfect gift for the Bar-B-Q guru. I bought this as a gift and have never seen such a huge smile. The pieces are a beautiful stainless and very durable. Definately a good value.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nicest grill set I've ever seen
I bought for my bro's birthday, now I want one! Top quality, everything you need, and very sturdy, which is a plus on the grill. Warning, though, knife and serated edge on spatula are very sharp--not for kids who can't handle themselves. Main pieces are really long so you don't get burnt over the grill. Heads for the grill scrubber were $5, totally replaceable. Corn cobbers are really cute, too. Perfect gift for a bbq'r!

(It is like the Animal but with additional attachments). What can I say... this vacuum is awesome. We have two large breed dogs and four cats. This vacuum does a fantastic job on pet hair.We have owned four vacuums in seventeen years. This is the first vacuum that doesn't get clogged with pet hair.It works great on carpets, ceramic tile, and Pergo. It has many useful attachments.I especially like the one that cleans ceiling fans.It isn't too heavy and dumping the dust cup is a snap.I am so happy with this purchase. If you have pets... buy the Dyson.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny
I just purchased the DC14 Complete from Sears, which is the same as the Animal but with more tools. What a fine vacuum this is, and worth the $569.99 I paid for it. The hair it picked up from my carpet was unbelievable; in fact, I had to empty the cup after vacuuming each room. It's exceptionally quiet, easy to push, and fairly lightweight. The turbo tool for upholstery works better than any hand-held upholstery vacuum I have ever used. The cup is super easy to empty. You just push the button to remove it from the vac, hold it over a garbage can or bag, push the red button, and the bottom opens up and releases the contents cleanly and quickly. You never have to touch a thing. I have 3 long-haired cats and a long-haired dog, so a good vacuum is important to me. It appears to be very well made, and sturdy. I just got it today and haven't used all the tools yet, but I will. If you're looking for a vacuum and don't mind the price tag, I highly recommend this brand.

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Vacuum EVER!!!!
I got this vacuum from my husband for Christmas and I have to say, if anything ever happened to it, I'd cry. I absolutely love seeing all the dirt that it picks up. It will clean any surface easily and I can finally vacuum my kitchen floor without little pieces of dirt flying back and hitting me in the shins. My husband spilled salt all over the floor and I made him clean it up while I put the little one to bed. He was vacuuming and yelling back to me how awesome it is. Without using the attachments, he just vacuumed up every spec with no problems.
The handle comes out and extends so you can vacuum around the edges of a room or baseboards without having to bend over. It sucks the dirt off those baseboards so well... I've never seen anything like it.
There is only a few flaws that I can see in it. 1. There is no light, but so far that hasn't bothered me at all. I had an oreck and it drove me nuts that there was no light.I guess it's because I'm not worried about whether or not I'm going to vacuum over a safety pen or lego toy.. it won't ruin it. 2. The handle comes out and extends, but it's a little inconvenient to vacuum things you don't want the extension for. I'm addicted to vacuuming my bed and couches now, but it's a little awkward with the long handle (but still very rewarding).I'm sure you can remove the extension, but I haven't tried, it isn't bad enough.3. The cord winds up and hangs on the handle, so everytime you take it out, you have to take the cord off too.

Over all the 'flaws' are so minor that with the results you see, you don't mind having to put up with them. It's constantly got a serious suction, so I can vacuum my bed and pillows to get the dust mites out and I know it's getting it. I also have a down comforter, so being able to vacuum the dust out of that is really nice too.
It glides so well, so cleaning your floors is so easy and of course when you see all the dirt, fuzz and of course the microscopic skin cells... you'll see what I mean... there is no bigger thrill after cleaning. By cleaning the dead cells, you're leaving no food for dust mites, which should help with alergies and other breathing problems. I get bad alergies and with being pregnant, I don't want to take anything for it... This vacuum cleaner has helped dramatically. Plus when you take the canister out to dump, you just push a button and it just falls out into the trash without going everywhere.

I should mention, since it is an "animal", that it does pick up hair and fur very well. I had a windtunnel before and I would still find long pieces of my hair that was just stuck on the carpet. I also have a long haired cat, and this vacuum will get every sign of hair and fur. I got it originally because according to the reviews, the animal was better than the yellow. I asked for the purple one for Christmas, and my husband got me this one, which is I guess an upgrade of the Animal. As of yet, I don't know what the exact difference is, I just know I love mine. I love having the extra accesories that come with this as aposed to the yellow, it's well worth the investment.

Bottom line, besides the few minor drawbacks, which I'm sure they'll realize and adjust later... This is the most wonderful vacuum, worth every penny I promise you. Every house should have one. Seeing all that comes out of my furniture and floor makes me want to clean everything else too. ... Read more
