The power of steam meets the digital age in this electronically equipped iron from Black & Decker. Programmed to display temperature settings and signal the auto-off function, the iron’s mini LCD monitor includes back lighting for easy viewing. It works in conjunction with the unit’s SmarTemp system, an audible alert that sounds when the desired temperature is reached. If you feel comfortable using a standard dial setting, then this iron may be no more than a lateral move. But if you’ve always felt unsure launching into ironing without some feedback, this could be your machine.

The iron comes with a highly polished stainless-steel soleplate, a good choice for long life, easy glide, and corrosion-resistance. The water features include spray, variable steam, and surge to make your labor more efficient, and the vertical steam is handy for hanging garments and draperies. For safety and extra peace of mind, the iron automatically shuts off after 10 minutes of being idle. It also comes with an extra-long cord, a custom-fit measuring cup, and a self-cleaning anti-build-up system. Black & Decker includes a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I Like This Iron-BUT
First I purchased D2000, the auto-turn off didn't work. When you pressed the button for 2 seconds to turn it off manually, well that didn't work either. I called cust. serv. They don't even have the model listed, but she did have the same manual that comes with the iron. So I got the D2020. Well it has the same problem. Since CS was of no help, does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? As for the iron, it is the best I have owned except for having to unplug it to turn it off.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Iron!
This iron is great!!! I read another review which stated that the dial is loose and blah, blah, blah and this is so far from the truth!!! It heats up quickly and reheats quickly after auto shut-off. The settings are never wrong. It glides smoothly over the clothes. I can't think of one negative thing about this iron.

2-0 out of 5 stars Decent Iron... while it was alive.
The B&D Digital Advantage started out as a great iron, although it did have some flaws in the design, like the steam dial moves while you are ironing therefore is always changing the steam setting. Also, the iron does an awful lot of "spitting." It seems to have a hard time regulating steam. Last but not least, it died on me after only 5 months. Therefore I can only dub this iron a piece of crap. I have used a lot of irons in my day, and this one is by far the worst yet.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great iron for the price
This iron works great. At first I was sceptical of Black & Decker and the only review wasn't good, but after using it I am really impressed. It heat up quickly. It took about 30 seconds to heat up to the hotest temp. And the digital dial is great also. No more guessing. The auto clean feature is helpful so there is no rusting or calcium buildups like the $20 college irons. It steams up nicely and performs great. There are problably better irons out there, but for $50 you can't bet it. Who wants to spend more than that anyway, it's just ironing.

1-0 out of 5 stars BD Digital Advantage Iron - D2020
Just bought this iron yesterday new from a local Target store and am dissappointed. The adjustable steam setting dial is so loose that it moves when you are ironing. (Not good - design or product defect?) Also, seems to spit water when ironing - and using tap water or distilled doesn't seem to change the amount of water spitting. Also, the water fill intake latch cover is poorly designed and could be torn off quite easily; you have to handle very carefully when refilling the iron with water. I am going to return this iron and try another brand . As a side note, the stainless soleplate is wonderful and highly recommend this feature on steam irons. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars great product
Don't know what problem some folks have with leaks, our unit is working great, with no leaks. Water reservoir tank must be put in tightly, (till lock snaps).

5-0 out of 5 stars Love My Coffee Maker(s)
I have two Black & Decker Spacemakers, I love both of them.
Never had any leaking problems. Automatic shutoff dont have to worry about coffee maker on counter. Makes great coffee and tea. If these two go out hope I can find another one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Different models??
I have had 3 Black & Decker Spacemaker coffee makers and have had mixed results. The first one lasted 6-7 years and never gave me any trouble until, one day, it just died. In fact, I had liked it so much I purchased another one at a Black & Decker outlet store because B&D was getting out of the home appliances business so I wanted to have a replacement handy.

I don't know what the model number of the original coffee maker was but the replacement I purchased looks just like the picture on Amazon -- it had a door covering the controls and the water container. Its model number was ODC325R and it was a disaster. It leaked everywhere -- completely unusable. Of course, it had been several years since I had purchased it so I couldn't return it.

I went to Wal-Mart and purchased a GE countertop model which worked fine but only lasted about a year and a half. I decided to give B&D another chance and ordered one from It looked like the 1st one I had (no door covering things) but its model number is the same as this one on Amazon -- ODC325N. It works great! No leaks, no problems -- couldn't be happier.

The upshot is, the original B&D was great (whatever its model number was), the ODC325R was a disaster and the ODC325N has been terrific so far (3-4 months). *BUT* -- the picture shown here for the ODC325N looks just like the horrible ODC325R I had so I'm not sure what Amazon is actually selling.

Good luck :-)

4-0 out of 5 stars Am I lucky?
I love my coffee maker, I have had it for almost 6 years now. I can slide the dish drainer under it when not in use which saves a lot of space for me. The only time mine leaked was when my 6 year old daughter tried to use it and did not insert the filter properly. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I remember
It looks like the waffle maker that my mom used for all those wonderful breakfasts growing up. I've had the waffle maker for almost a year now, and after another disappointing round of waffles this weekend, I had to submit a review.
I'd agree with other reviewers that the unit does not get hot enough. I've tried several different waffle recipes, including good ole mom's and each time the waffles are flat as pancakes and soft. I've given up trying to cook pancakes, even with the heat turned up full blast, they never brown.
I've always been a fan of this type of waffle maker, but based on my experiences, I'll be looking for a Belgium waffle maker and stick with my stovetop griddle for pancakes.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cheap piece of junk
First off, it's a GRIDDLE and waffle baker, not a grill. And second, it's so poorly made that it's frightening to use. Mine fell apart while it was burning hot the first time I used it. I wish I hadn't wasted my money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, Hard to Find Waffle Iron!
It is increasingly difficult to find waffle irons made with stainless steel and that can actually make more than one waffle at at time, which you need for a family. I couldn't find a place to rate the seller, so I hope this will do. I am very pleased with the product and the transaction!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best quality...
My mother has had her B&D Wafflemaker for years and it's fantastic. She bought me this one as a gift, but I have to say the quality is not nearly as good as it used to be. The chrome is very thin and the plates don't always line up easily and lock snugly into place. I had to bend the clips in the front so they wouldn't touch each other and cause the plates to come loose.

I don't agree with other reviewers that it doesn't get hot enough or bake waffles well. As long as you have a good recipe and keep them in long enough (until they stop steaming) then they will come out crisp and yummy. I don't recommend the receipe that comes with the unit- the batter is too thin. I have also used the griddle side for grilled cheese and it worked fine. Be sure to season your plates well before trying to use jellies or cheese on them.

All in all the wafflebaker works well, but the quality could be much better (especialy for the price!).

4-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and clean- Try a Grilled Ham & Cheese!
This product has been so much fun in the kitchen and works great. Grill 4 sandwiches at once. Oh boy are they GOOD! Easy to remove grilling plates make clean up a snap. (Very important for that melted Cheese over the edge!) Makes 4 waffles at a time. This is not a product to let your children use. The outside lovely chrome surfaces get extremely hot when in use and take a while to cool off after use. Try a Black & Decker citrus juicer if the kids want to help. They will enjoy that very much, and you'll have fresh juice to go with your waffles! :-) ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good value and does the job
We have been very happy with this product. It has really ruduced bing time and effort. Battery life seems fine. It's powerful enough, but more power is always better. We haven't really found use for all of the extra adapters/fitting and primarily use just the scrubber for our bathrooms. It was an average value for the price $40, but it's not like there are 100 out there to choose from. I'd recommend the product, particularly if you're tired of scrubbing and would rather just hold the product while it does the scrubbine (weak arms may still get tired because you have to press).

5-0 out of 5 stars The Bomb
I have been thinking about getting one of these for ages. I don't know why I ever waited.

I have an off white shower & no water softener so I have mineral build up. With a busy family the last thing thought about is the bathroom. It takes hours to try to scrub the stuff off. This makes short work off it.

Sure the battery doesn't last that long, about 1/2 hour, but that's ok. Do 1/2 then recharge & do the other 1/2. After the hard stuff is gone then 1 battery will do fine. Well I have extra batteries because I have a Black & Decker Dremel tool which is the bomb too. It is hard to get into the corners but you can't have everything I guess.

I recomend this to anyone who wants to spend less time cleaning the bathroom. It's great. Get the one with the extra attachments. I think it is going to be great come Spring on the patio furniture, etc.

If you have an electric toothbrush then you have an idea of the difference between this & scrubbing by hand.

4-0 out of 5 stars Adequate Power For The Purpose
I bought this to help me out when I was re-caulking and deep cleaning the shower/bath in our apartment and it really helped me out. I usually just take a brillo bad to the hard-to-clean areas, but all I had to do is hold this down on the area to get it clean. The only thing I would change about it is battery life. 6 hours to charge it enough for 30 minutes isn't very convenient if you have a lot of work to do. I know that it needs to be battery for electric shock reasons, but some sort of power attachment for areas you won't be submerging the scrubber in would be better.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for some things, not a lot of muscle
I bought this expressly for cleaning the shower. I'm a big strong guy, but lazy, and the repetive scrubbing and awkward angles of cleaning a shower make that the only cleaning task I truly despise.

I just now tried cleaning my shower with this thing, and it helped with a few things, but didn't really cut down on cleaning time like I had hoped. First of all, the Wide Area Brush attachment is useless for this task. The different models come with fewer or more attachments, so make sure yours comes with the blue Coarse Scrub Pad.

For the rim of the tub it was a lot faster to scrub it by hand with a regular brush. The bottom and the walls worked ok with the machine, and the fixtures were a lot easier than using my own muscle, primarily because the angles and protrusions make it hard to scrub by hand.

The long handle extension is useful in some circumstances, but wasn't long enought to let me stand while scrubbing.

In all, if you're strong but lazy (like me), the ScumBuster may not be the dream solution you are looking for. It doesn't really save time over manual labor, and isn't fast/powerful enough to get tough mold, etc., better than hand scrubbing.

OTOH, it's great for hard-to-get-to areas around the faucet, and might be a boon for a weaker person who can't scrub hard enough to get rid of tougher stains. It'll just take a really long time.

Although I've used it only on the shower so far, I imagine it will be very helpful on carpet, where it seems that no matter how hard you can scrub, it still takes lots of repetition to get a stain out.

If you're looking for a (probably) good carpet cleaner and an easy way to scrub around faucets, the toilet, and other obstacles to scrubbing, this is what you need. If what you're looking for is an easy way to get rid of tough shower stains, you'll probably be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
This product is truly worth the money. I particularly like to use it on the carpet because it gets spots out quick and easy. The variety of attachments make it a no-brainer for the shower and the bath. I'm going around my house looking for things to scrub because it is fun to use. ... Read more

Powerful suction and cordless mobility come together in the Black & Decker cyclonic DustBuster. An impressive 9.6 volts, the compact little vacuum makes quick work of dry spills around the house or cleanup in the car or woodshop. Like other DustBuster models, this one collects debris in a bagless pop-off container. In addition, it uses cyclonic suction to minimize clogging in the filter, in turn maximizing power and increasing run time. Easily controlled with one hand, the vacuum manages well and is relatively light for its power. A single sliding switch turns it on and off and a simple push button releases the dirt cup for emptying. Cleverly stored onboard, a crevice tool and a brush attachment help you target narrow spaces and upholstery. A charging base is also included and can be mounted to the wall for tidy storage and ongoing re-juicing. On a full charge, the machine runs up to 11 minutes at a stretch. 5-0 out of 5 stars This Dustbuster is one good sucker!
I was very leary about buying a Dustbuster due to previous issues I had, but I must say that after using this vac for the last week, I am in love with Dustbuster again.

This Dustbuster has great suction and power. I really put this vac to the test by using it on various surfaces from ceramic tile to carpet to furniture. I didn't have very high expectations for carpet or furniture, but this little vac really surprised me. I used it to clean my stairs and it did a better job than our regular vacuum or Shark cleaner ever had. And with the help of the brush attachment, it worked great at removing cat hair from the furniture which is not an easy task to complete (those with pets know exactly what I am talking about). I even cleaned my car and my daughter's car seat with the attachments and it sucked up every crumb!

The only things that I have not liked are the weight (it is a tad heavy for long cleaning periods) and the noise factor (it is fairly loud and scares my toddler). Also the machine is a little bulky, so it doesn't fit too well into tight spaces without the attachments. But this isn't too much of a problem since the attachments are located right under the vac itself, so it is hard to lose and very convenient to use them.

You can clean this vac in a snap. I love the cyclonic filter that traps more dirt than the traditional Dustbuster. Even washing the filter is easy, it just comes apart and washes in warm, soapy water. And with the clear container, you know exactly when to empty it.

If you are looking for a powerful little vac that is versitile enough to use anywhere in the house, then I would highly recommend this Dustbuster. It really makes cleaning easier! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Oven O.K. - Bad Toaster
The oven part works fine for cooking frozen food, heating sandwiches wrapped in foil, etc. However, the toaster has never worked satisfactory. Usually, toaster ovens toast good at first and over time, because of drips on the element, start to toast unevenly. This one NEVER toasted well, even when brand new out of the box. Finally, the rocking toaster switch just decided to quit staying down one day for no reson, rendering the thing useless. We tried a Sunbeam and it's a fire hazard (at the 200 degreee setting you could burn your hand if you touched the unit), at least the Black & Decker is reasonably well insulated. What ever happened to the basic GE from the 70's that worked like a charm? If you have a good stand alone toaster, then this one might work for you.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware
For some reason, this is the second time I have owned this model of toaster oven. Both times it has been hazardous. I've had issues with it not turning off after you hit the stop toast switch. It cooks very unevenly and burns the toast even on the next to lowest setting. Today it caught on fire inside. It is a piece of junk.

1-0 out of 5 stars T. Taylor
My old B&D toaster gave up the ghost, coinciding with Target's advertised special of B&D TRO355/360. I immediately went and purchased one, only to discover after getting it home, that the handle was over an inch off-center on the glass door.
The unit powered up well, but not having the tools to fix alignment of handle, I returned unit to Target, figuring this was a fluke. My neighbor asked me to get her a unit, so I came home with two units. Once again, mine had an off-centered handle, and my neighbors's had dings in the chrome top. I called Black and Decker to complain about the off-centered handles, and was told this was probably a new design. When told that my neighbor's handle was centered, but her chrome top had dings in it, the Rep. said she would pass info on.RIGHT!!! I said I would require Target Rep. to open every box ,if necessary, to find two unblemished units.
Returning to Target, the Rep.had to open five boxes to find two unblemished units. My unit powered up, and all elments worked, but the unit light flickered off and on when the door was opened and closed, and the oven dial was in off position. Tomorrow I
return to Target with the two toasters; my neighbor is afraid to keep hers. There will be no exchange! After 5 trips and 5 toasters, I have concluded that there's little chance of getting a FIRST QUALITY B&D TRO 355/360 toaster oven at Target.

1-0 out of 5 stars piece of junk
We actually bought a model up from this basic toaster oven. But, much like the entry level model, this one is also a piece of junk. Maybe Target wised up and stopped carrying the model that we purchased. The toast button doesn't work or only works occasionally. I would be better off starting a fire outside and trying to get toast. Not only is Black and Decker quality crap, but their web site is crap. Try finding warranty info, or heaven forbid, a phone number to call and complain. I think I'll just eat the $50 or 60 that we spent on this boat anchor. P.S. I also bought a Black and Decker iron that is going in the trash with the toaster oven. The damn thing shuts off in the middle of ironing. You don't really notice until water starts leaking onto your shirt instead of steam. I replaced this iron with a Panasonic iron. It is a great piece of equipment. No problems.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy
I received this toaster as a shower gift. This toaster only lasted two years. The on/off button won't stay down anymore. Also if you are toasting something and it isn't toasted enough and you push the button (when it worked) again it would only toast again for like 30 seconds so you would have to stand there and keep pushing the button. IT STINKS!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Coffee With No Fuss
I read the reviews before ordering this personal coffee maker, and since some people had 'overflow problems' and some talked about coffee not being quite hot enough, I almost didn't get it.

Glad I went ahead. First, I put a small tray under the coffee maker in case of an overflow...I also always use a No. 1 size Mellita Filter in the basket, which makes it easier to clean and may help with the overflow problem, since I have never had that happen.

I use Folger's Classic Roast and use one and a half scoops with a regular size coffee scooper..I fill the cup within about 1/2" of the top and pour it in...put the cup in place, click the switch and ......perfectly hot, full bodied coffee every time with no problems at all so far...have used it about 20 times.

It makes a great large cup of coffee and the mug has a very comfortable feel to it. This coffee maker comes in handy when you don't want to mess with a full pot and it is very fast. I couldn't be more pleased - well worth the price!

5-0 out of 5 stars Superb performance at a great price
I read the other reviews (some negative) that claimed that this coffeemaker has overflow problems. When you have such an easy Brew n' Go model, why not fill up the coffee mug with water to the level you want and dump the water in the top? I did just that, added my standard 1.5 scoops of coffee grinds, and it performed flawlessly and tasted great.

Although it doesn't come with the best cup on the market - for example, it's not spillproof, but it definitely serves the purpose well and is very nice looking. Although you can smell the plastic cover while you drink - especially when it's new - the taste is not affected as was mentioned by others.

And a permanent filter which is so easy to clean is a major benefit!

I have absolutely no complaints, but rather compliments about Amazon's quick service (5 days ahead of the planned date) and a great product at a great price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy & Great
I love this coffee maker. I ususally walk down the street for coffee everyday. But, this is easier and I only have to make one cup at a time. The best thing is that I don't have worry about running out of filters! Awesome!

4-0 out of 5 stars very useful
This is great if you don't drink alot of coffee. Ours lasted a year and we're ordering a new one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Convenient Coffee Maker
I love this coffee maker, its convenient, fast and conserves coffee, as I am the only coffee drinker in my home and making a regular size pot of coffee just for myself is wasteful, with this it don't sit on a hot plate and roast and the remainder of the coffee gets thrown out, so I'm able to make a single cup when I want one. I'd reccommend it to anybody, and I have. ... Read more

After three days with Black & Decker's Flavor Scenter, I had used it to perfectly steam asparagus, artichokes (flavored with garlic in the steamer's flavor screens), and leeks. Though I doubted its usefulness when I first got it, I was a convert! This is an extremely useful appliance, a real boon especially to those trying to eat more healthily. The steam bowl's oblong shape perfectly holds vegetables, such as asparagus and corn, as well as three (or six, when layered) mid-size artichokes, which fit in upright. The rice cooker bowl is slightly smaller but can still hold 7 cups of cooked rice. Put water in the base and vegetables, seafood, or rice in the steamer; set the timer according to the instruction manual; and have your hands free until it rings. As an added feature, two small screens below the bowl can be filled with herbs to scent and flavor whatever's cooking. This cooker would also be ideal in a starter kitchen or dorm room, where its multiple uses would really come in handy. It's dishwasher-safe, but because it doesn't ever come near grease, it's easily wiped clean. --Maria Dolan ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must-Have for a complete kitchen
I love this steamer! I have used it for vegetables, rice, hard-boiled eggs, and making my own babyfood! I started out keeping it in a cabinet, but I found I use it so often, I moved it out onto my countertop. I have already recommended this product to several friends, and now I am buying one for someone as a gift. It makes perfect rice everytime. I love the timer. It comes with a wonderful guide for ideas and recommended cook-times. The herb/spice flavor scenter is an added bonus. This is the best purchase I have made for my kitchen in a long time, and my family is eating healthier now because of it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good as a steamer - lousy for rice
I used this while staying at a friend's house and found the following things:

1) It steams vegetable okay; 2) Does not do traditional rice well at all;

The rice that this steamer could do was stuff like Uncle Ben's or Minute Rice (parboiled rice).

If you eat rice a great deal then I would recommend buying a rice cooker like Tiger or Zojiruishi (sp?). Which are designed to handle the boiling and steaming of rice as its main function. Most of these lines also handle steaming vegetables as well. Further there is a warming function in a specialized rice cooker that this black and decker does not have.

The machine itself has the usual black and decker aesthetic of clean design and easy dial but it is not satisfactory in cooking rice. The results were inconsistant with regular rice (both long grain and Japanese short grain - did not have a chance to try Basmati).

If you are getting this just to steam vegetables it is fine. But if you are buying this as a rice cooker then spend the extra and get a specialized rice cooker.

If you are getting a rice cooker please note the following:

1) Never buy a cooker that uses an unlined Aluminium pan - it will make your rice taste off and the pan has a shorter life span because every time you scrub aluminium shears off (that's not dirt that's metal in the dish water. Teflon coated is fine and so is stainless steel.

2) The cooker should have a warming function - this is pretty standard;

3) Compact and tucks away easily - nicer models can be brought straight to the table since the power cord is retractable.

4) Evaluate the amount of usage you are going to get out of it before buying a model. There is no reason to get a Neuro-fuzzy logic $250+ rice cooker if it is only an occasional thing for you.

Skip this cooker for rice.

5-0 out of 5 stars This product has passed the test of time
I have owned my Black and Decker steamer for almost three years and I can say that I have been happy with it for that entire time. I have been most pleased with the quality of the machine itself (mine has never had a problem or malfunction), but there are several other features I appreciate too.

1. The manual that came with mine has a very extensive chart of various foods and how long each needs to cook in the steamer (this is most helpful!). I primarily use my steamer for vegetables such as asparagus, brussels sprouts, green beans, carrots, red potatoes, and corn on the cob. Although B&D boasts it as a possibility, I have never used my steamer for rice because I do not see how piles of rice would/could cook evenly! I have also never felt the need to try the fish recipe included in the manual because I didn't want my kitchen, or the plastic parts of this appliance to retain a "fishy" smell.

2. I also agree with the previous reviewer who states that this appliance is a snap to clean. In most cases all it needs is a thorough rinsing under very hot water and then a wipe down. When I first purchased this steamer I lived in the country and had fairly hard water (high mineral content) which caused a bit of a lime build up on the heating element of the steamer. My worries about this have proven to be needless as I have now owned it many years and these occasional mineral buildups on the heating element do eventually fall away as you wash it after use.

3. The model I have is the same in every way as the one being sold with the exception that mine comes with a stacking ring and another steamer basket so that you can actually steam two different foods at the same time. I paid nearly twice the price that Amazon is currently offering for a single basket steamer though, and if I were doing it all over again, I would opt for just the single basket model.

I highly recommend this purchase as a quality product at a great price with the added benefit of enabling you to eat more healthy foods.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cheap and easy way to steam
If something can be steamed, this thing can steam it. I use it for rice, veggies, tamales, etc. It cooks perfect rice, and while not quite as convenient as a rice cooker, it's a whole lot cheaper (and combines functionality). Definitely one of my favorite kitchen toys!

5-0 out of 5 stars Just buy it!
A few months ago, I started looking for a blender. It seemed like there were hundreds of them. Price wasn't the main concern, as I would gladly pay a premium price for a premium product. My main issues were that it would perform all the standard blending tasks with ease, make a great milkshake, blend eggs to make a light "Waffle House" style omlette, and most importantly (for my friends who crave Margaritas), kill ice cubes with a vengeance. When I happened upon this Black and Decker model, I was taken by the positive reviews, yet skeptical of it's ... price. Never the less, I figured that if the reviewers were making an honest effort, I couldn't justify spending three or more times as much on a machine that would do no better. I bought one. When it arrived, I saw that B&D was so proud of it that they offered a 30 day no questions asked refund if you don't think it's the best blender/ice crusher ever. It's a big blender. It has a large capacity thick glass jar, a unique knife arrangement, lots of power, a soft shatterproof top that seals tightly (with a measuring cap built in), plenty of speeds to select, and it does the job as advertised. If you need a killer blender, buy this one. Pack it with ice, and be amazed.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOOHOO!
I was the proud inheritor of my childhood Osterizer Blender and wanted nothing more than to keep that beat up thing forever. I worked against myself very hard to find a new blender to match up to it when the pitcher finally broke. The reviews here were the clincher. I ordered mine about a month ago and now I'm wondering why it took me so long to buy this! It is so much better than i thought a blender could be (the blender being the most used appliance in my to the teapot). Today I made hummous in less than 3 minutes! I can put a whole tray of ice in with a protein shake and it doesnt even balk! I find excuses to use it just because it works so well. One of the best features of this model is the wide always sits perfectly where it should. No leaking from the gasket, simple to clean and can blend anything! YAY for a fantastic blender. If i had to point out a flaw though, i would say the lid is too tight. But hey, it will never leak and it forces me to use the handy removable center in the top to add ingredients.

5-0 out of 5 stars best buy
I have had this blender for almost two years now and have had no problems. It is plenty powerful for mixing anything you need and the rubber feet keep it still. I bought this blender because it had a glass jar instead of a plastic one which can stain over time. Mine has never leaked and the top fits nice and tight. I do wish it had a longer cord though.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great buy
I've had this blender for about 2 months. I love it. My son got into drinking smoothies and my 20 year old blender couldn't handle the ice. This blender does a great job! I see that some other reviewers have said that theirs leaks, I have not had that problem at all.

It makes great smoothies and shakes and no leaks at all. I also love the "fast clean" setting. I rinse it out a bit, put a drop of soap in it and then hit the fast clean button for a few seconds. Then its rinse and done. I'm really enjoying this blender.

2-0 out of 5 stars Leaking issue, watch out!

this is the best food preparer item ever! everything you read here about the BandD steamer is true (all good!) i just bought mine today. and im using it for the 2nd time today. (had one years ago, but it was a bit discolored from all the steaming.) im vegetarian and love to steam vegetables and rice so it's perfect for me! i don't even need a conventional stove (unless i need to bake) for lovers of fresh collards and kale - this cooks in less than 30 minutes! i even baked a potato! thank you black and decker!

3-0 out of 5 stars not for rice
After a series of really bad experiences with rice cookers that died after less than 5 uses, I searched Amazon for something well rated. I bought this item because it was cheap, was a steamer supposedly doubling as a rice cooker, and it was highly rated. I just made my first batch of brown rice the other night and it took TWO HOURS. The recommended time for 1.5 cups was 65 minutes, but when I checked at that time, the rice still looked like soup. I set it for 20 minutes three more times, and the liquid was finally absorbed, but the rice still had a few crunchy spots. I would say not to buy this if you're thinking about using it for rice. I haven't tried the other features yet, but I'm sure it works fine as a steamer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Present for healthy eaters
I received this as a wedding gift in June 2004, and I must say that is little machine is very good. You don't have to wait for a long time when cooking fresh or even frozen veggies. Also, I used it to steam some shrimp, so it can be used for various foods. Great for people watching diets, you can add as much salt or seasoning as you like in the little area they have to steam and season the food at the same time. Since I am on a Sodium control diet, it is very important to watch my salt instake and with this steamer I can add it myself with fresh foods (instead of the packaged foods).

This item is great! I have had one since they first came out. They do a great job with fresh vegetables. You can cook frozen ones in it too but fresh is better. I bought my Mom one when they first came out and she loved it too. I have a couple of Aunts who saw it when they came to the house for dinner and really thought the vegetables tasted great. They are really hard to find in the stores now. I just ordered 3 more. 2 as gifts and one as a spare in case mine stops working. I have had it for several years now. I would not know what to do with out it. This is a great price at Target too. I paid $26 for mine. If you like fresh vegetable then you have to get one of these. You will love it!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good value
I just bought this oven; I'm impressed with the size. I noted earlier reviewers gave a heads-up on the pizza pan. I was careful. The edges were sharp, if you rubbed a finger quickly across it you could get a deep cut. The instructions could have been a bit clearer. When I wasn't able to turn on the convection feature I called B&D. Instead of helping me they told me to return the oven to the store. I tinkered with it a while and found out the correct sequence to turn it on. Apparently the tech rep wasn't familiar with the features. All in all, I'm pleased-- it's one of the largest toaster ovens and an excellent value.

1-0 out of 5 stars electronic controls out of control
This would be a great oven were it not for the control panel used to control the cooking cycles, temperature, timer, clock. It is the same sort of touchpad/button technology as most microwaves, so there's no reason for not getting it right but seems Black & Decker got it all wrong on this. I recently purchased this oven and due to the electronic controls I can rarely get the oven to function. It's going back for a refund not a replacement.

3-0 out of 5 stars there ARE sharp edges under the pizza pan
I love this oven, but, the bulge in the back could be dangerous for formica counter tops. There is nothing to keep it from meeting up with a back splash on a counter top, therefore making it a fire hazard(poor design). Also, I too, cut my finger on the underneath turn on the pizza pan, and I am not half baked!

4-0 out of 5 stars Black& Decker Toaster Oven ct06300
I just bought this one today. I Like it's looks and roomy oven. A real good deal for the price. I'm going to give it a try for about a week. I need to get used to the digital stuff. My last toaster was about 10 years old and had dials. One thing I'm kind of uncomfortable with is the whole oven gets really hot on the outside. It could burn you. This is another reason I might consider taking it back. Good luck with your toaster oven choice.

3-0 out of 5 stars the pizza tray
The previous caution about the pizza tray are valid for the tray I received. All trays may not be the same. On the underneath outer edge roll from the die cut, although tucked in, is sharp enough to cut one's finger especially a little tyke's if they pick up the tray and get their finger in the lip.<br /> So far, and the unit is new to us still, all the good reports appeared to have merrit. The instuctions are extremely weak and . . . how do we cook in a convection toaster oven? A small cook book suggestion for beginners would definitely be a PLUS for us. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars It's not that great
We've been trying to get the clock/timer to work for five months. It still isn't right. The can opener is awkward and sloppy. If I open a can of tomato sauce, it splashes drops of sauce on the countertop. Opening a can of chicken broth results in a tidal wave.

I bought this can opener because I wanted an black undercouter opener that would match my kitchen and not clutter my counter. Next time, I'll buy a manual opener, in any color, and keep it in the drawer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great looking can opener, works great
This is a great can opener. Looks very sharp with the other black appliances. Works great. No problems whatsoever.

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk Product - Terrible Customer Service
Whoever designed the mounting hardware for this thing is a total idiot. Horrible design.

Then once I finally got it mounted, it died within a few minutes of use. So I call Black and Decker customer service and the woman that answers the phone has her child at work with her. The child is screaming at the top of it's lungs and I can't hear a word she's saying. Then she keeps putting me on hold for several minutes at a time while she looks up such intelligent questions as "do you have it plugged in". Now I've got to cut the power cord off and mail it in so they will send me a new unit! Very strange.

Lets hope it doesn't take them a month to get the replacement here. It took Amazon that long to get me the first one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy To Use!Its a can open duh!
What should I say...First it looks great. It is the only can opener I have found that is black, folds down, has a clock, a knife sharpener, and hangs under the cabinet. When you use it is very easy I can just press it down and walk away until its done (no problems whatsoever in that area!) Its quite but not too quite. Good because I have a 10 month year old son - and a echoeeeeee house. Bad news is it doesn't come with a battery for the clock, the sticker for the electic cord comes undone very easily(that is something I will have to fix with tape I guess or buy a new one). The directions were very hard to use... I only say that because I didn't have a tape measure so go buy one if you don't have one. Other than that works great and I am very pleased!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great - hard to install
Not much to say....its a can opener that hangs over the cabinet, has a clock, and a knife sharpner. Its a little hard to install and the cover and the actual can opener magnet part (I don't know what to call it technically) don't go in smoothly (In other words you have to just push it with a little force...This is not a can opener for old people...But its great and looks cool! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Little Coffee Maker
I received this coffee pot as a gift several years ago and use it almost daily! I suggest using a #1 or #2 filter, the included filter works, but some fine grounds do get through. The coffee comes out quickly and you get a steaming hot cup. Perfect for mornings when you don't have time for a whole pot. Also perfect if you like a variety of flavors. On weekends I'll switch flavors several times so you don't get tired of making a whole pot of one flavor and waste it. It's small for those who don't drink a lot or have a lot of space. It's easy to clean and small and easy to store when not in use. I plan on getting another one for my desk at work!

Black & Decker, long known as a maker of quality tools, brings that same dependability to the kitchen in its line of countertop appliances, such as the ODC425 10-cup Spacemaker thermal carafe coffeemaker. Constructed of sturdy white plastic with stainless steel carafe and accents, the Spacemaker gets its name from its horizontal design and under-cabinet mounting ability. The accompanying mounting hardware includes spacers of various widths to accommodate different styles of cabinet, whether the doors are flush or overhanging. This feature is great for small kitchens or kitchens with little available counter space; in addition, it's very useful for RVs, camping trailers, or pleasure-boat galleys, where it helps to have counter appliances bolted down.

In addition to its space-saving feature, the Black & Decker ODC425 also sports a few other handy features. A stainless steel, thermal carafe keeps coffee hot for up to four hours; it has a white plastic handle and brew-through lid which locks to become airtight. There's programmable timer and clock for setting up an automatic brew time, with a display and five-button control panel on the front of the coffeemaker. And there are two features that allow caffeine cravers to have their first cup of coffee before the brewing's done. Sneak-A-Cup interrupts brewing while a cup is poured; Tap-A-Cup, an actual tap built into the bottom of the carafe handle, draws off a cup without interrupting the brew cycle at all.

The removable brew basket is dishwasher safe (top rack). Hand wash carafe in hot water with a soft sponge and mild detergent; do not use abrasive cleansers or scrubbers on carafe. Rinse the brew basket and carafe thoroughly to ensure purity of coffee flavor. Wipe down the coffeemaker with a warm, damp cloth and dry completely; coffeemaker is not immersible. The carafe measures 10 by 7 by 6-1/2 inches and has a 10-cup (50-fluid-ounce) capacity. (An 10-cup coffeemaker produces 10 5-ounce cups.) The coffeemaker measures 11 by 14 by 12 inches. The Black & Decker ODC425 uses large flat-bottom paper coffee filters (not included). 1-0 out of 5 stars ZERO stars not an option
If a zero rating was an otpion, it would have been chosen.

The WORST coffee maker I have ever used. After years of no problems with the older 12 cup model Spacemaker, I decided to stick with B&D when purchasing a new coffee maker. I could not find the older model anywhere and decided to get the ODC 400 even after I read 2 bad reviews online for it due to how happy I was with the original. The lid of the 400 is a pain, the coffee pours slow, the spout is too shallow and even taking off the lid doesn't help, only makes it easier to spill. The coffee is hardly "hot" when first brewed and only remains warm for no longer than an hour. I always loved the B&D line because of the space saver feature, but I have to say this product has me totaly disgusted. I consider it a lesson as this product will now end up in the garbage and I will have to settle for a countertop unit of a different brand.

1-0 out of 5 stars worst coffee maker i've owned
If you are looking at this coffee maker, don't! It looks really nice, but there is no heating element to keep the coffee warm. The description says that the pot keeps coffee warm for hours. It is more like minutes. The top to the pot is a screw on and is very hard to get on all the way. I recieved this as a gift with no receipt and was unable to return it or I would have.

2-0 out of 5 stars Problem Pot
This is an astectily pleasing product, however the thermal carafe pot is a pain. It leaks where the metal and the plastic are joined, and the lid is a pain to get off and on. ... Read more

A versatile unit with cordless convenience, this Black and Decker DustBuster 3-in-1 vacuum is a handy tool around the house and workshop. The machine converts to three different configurations: a full-height floor vacuum, a handheld power brush vacuum, and a compact DustBuster. In each configuration, the vacuum collects dust and debris into a roomy dirt cup, filtering out the smaller particles. Suitable for carpets, hard floors, and upholstery, the 12-volt machine is easy to convert and use. Its connecter switches and power buttons are large and simple, and the 10-inch floor nozzle glides easily. Though not the equal of a full-size vacuum if you have a house full of carpet, the unit is great for kitchens, bathrooms, small hardwood areas, stairs, quick pick-ups, and dry spills. Plus, its cordless power means fast, convenient, unfettered cleaning. The unit comes with a rechargeable battery and a charging unit, as well as a hook for hanging it on the wall. Fully charged (16 hours), the unit runs between 14 and 17 minutes on average. One minor drawback to this model--in its fullest size, the vacuum does not stand up by itself. It is lightweight and maneuverable, however, so this does not present a big problem. In its floor vac shape, the unit stands 42-1/2 inches high. Black and Decker includes a 2-year warranty. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not Good for hard floors
This vacuum is worthless for picking up small particles of dirt or rock (sand like) when being used as a floor vacuum. With the beater bar off, it doesn't pick them up, it just pushes them around. With it on it just throws them out from behind the vacuum. The suction is not great enough to pick them up when it is spread out across the length of the vacuum head.

On carpets and as a handheld dustbuster, it does a nice job. Do not purchase if you are planing to use it on hard surfaces.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding for a cordless
While shopping for a replacement for my original Dustbuster that has had a long useful life, but beyond it's prime I was sad to see this product was only offered at Amazon for a short time and never restocked. I postponed my purchase and found it difficult to find in post-xmas Florida until I happened upon one at my local Target for $45.

This thing is great for a cordless vac: light, powerful and holds a charge for a reasonable time (I can easily vacuum my 2000 sqft home with charge left over). The three configurations make it versatile, and the beater bar in the upright mode really helps to get everything. I'm amazed every time I empty it that a Dustbuster is picking up that much dirt and dog hair. A great value, performance is outstanding for a cordless.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a bargain!
I got this vacuum for 50$, it works great! At first we were a little weary because it seemed light and flimsy, but boy is it powerful! We had a little bit of trouble with it the first day because it wasn't charging correctly, but it turns out it was on the whole time so it wouldn't charge. It picks up everything and works well on both hard floors and carpets, plus it's cheap compared to other vacuums. It's great because it's cordess so you aren't tripping over the cord as you vacuum. Plus it converts into a mini vacuum so you can vacuum your sofa or a small area. I don't have anything bad to say about this! Good job Black & Decker! ... Read more
