Cons: For the price, I guess I can expect a bit more. I have learnt the name is a hype and feel sorry to have invested in these (albeit) fancy tinpots. All my pots are so badly marked from the outside, it is incredible!! Cannot use 'em in the dishwasher or they will scratch! Cannot use any metal tools. Lids extremely heavy. I bought these about three years ago and these review were not there. I have an older set of Wearever which looks spectacular after all these years (6+). It is a beautiful dark maroon and the lids do not steam up. Unfortunately I am not sure if Wearever is available anymore. Would not recommend Anolon. If you must buy em' buy a single piece first before the whole set Also read more reviews at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006FXA0/qid=1086878801/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-5692354-8013632?v=glance&s=kitchen Happy cookin :)

Amazon.com Review This 10-piece set outfits a kitchen with all essential pots and pans. It consists of 2-quart and 3-quart saucepans with lids; a 12-inch, 5-quart sauté pan with a lid; an 8-quart stockpot with a lid; and 8-inch and 10-inch skillets. This cookware carries a lifetime warranty against defects and should be hand washed. --Fred Brack What's in the Box Features Reviews (6)
My husband and I love to cook. I had Farberware for years and it was time to upgrade to a non-stick. I had read loads of reviews of Calphalon, Analon & Circulon. Those were the high end non-stick cookware I was looking at. What sold us was the handles. You never have to use anything to take it off the stove as the handles are rubberized and always cool. We had another pan (Belgique) which promised the same thing (cool handles) but that wasn't true. It is true that the bottom gets black, but I don't have a problem with that as I want pans that can cook, especially since we eat at home every day and love our organic gourmet type food that we eat. My husband eats meat, I don't, but that is not a problem with these pans and this set. When he makes Indian food (for instance), he's using another pan for the meat stuffs, while I use the another pan for the vegetable things. Cleaning up is not hard with these pans. I usually don't even have to soak them. I don't see very many scratches on my cookware set as others say they do on theirs. I would say minimal scratches have appeared, in fact, I can only remember 1 small one that I've seen in a year's use of heavy cooking. As far as oils in the pan (someone wrote a review saying not to use oil in the pan), I had no idea about it. The person who wrote the review said they used Canola Oil, maybe that's why? I have only used high grade Olive Oil in the pan and have never had any problems whatsoever. Food tastes great in this set and yes you CAN stack it. In 2 stacks as I do. Overall I recommend this for anyone who loves to cook, or is just a casual cook.
I did take the time to not just read, but actually learn the manufacturer's instructions for taking care of them and follow them to a T. (My Dad taught me that if I take care of my tools, they'll take care of me.) So they still look and work like new. I enjoy cooking much more now that I don't have to worry about sticking. I'm more adventurous, because I know that even if the food doesn't turn out great, at least it won't be a hassle to clean.
For the everyday cook who wants a set that is easy to clean, heats evenly and stands up to daily use, this set is what you want. Super heavy cast anodized aluminum, big glass lids, a bit heavy but thats exactly what you want in tough cookware you use every day. Perfect for families with kids. The non-stick holds up very well on interior *and* exterior. The bottom is not coated so that heat from burner will not damage non-stick coating. The 5 quart pan is perfect for large skillet dinners. After 6 months daily use using mostly non-stick tools, hardly a scratch inside or out. You'll use less oil, clean up with water. If you enjoy cooking fresh food every day give them a try. I bought mine at local store with bonus offer of a big rectangular grill for $299. The grill is also great, heats evenly, no hot or cold spots when positioned over two burners, perfect for pancakes. We don't put pots in dishwasher (so easy to clean by hand), but sometimes lids go in dishwasher and they haven't suffered any damage so far. We have gas stove, but I doubt cooking surface will change performance. Have a small kitchen so I hang some pots from black metal pot rack/ shelf combo I got from Pier 1. They look great there and are within easy reach.

Amazon.com Review What's in the Box Features Reviews (15)
They conduct heat unbelievably fast; liquids boil almost in the blink of an eye. Having said that, you have to keep an eye on your meal, and cook on a lower temperature than you normally would. These are a snap to clean up. I love the glass lids, too....lets you see how things are simmering, boiling etc. I would say.....worth their weight in gold!
They do require a little more care than cheap Faberware type pans, but it is well worth it. Even though you have to hand wash them (don't put them in the dishwasher), the excellent non-stick surface just wipes clean. Right after cooking, I would rinse the pans and all of the food remanants came right off. After that, all I had to do was wipe them with a soapy cloth and PRESTO, they are clean and ready to use again. With the non-stick surface and the lower heat (these pans heat up quickly at Medium--saves energy) it also lends to much healthier eating. I was amazed at how many things I could brown without using one drop of oil. The manufacturer recommends not using a lot of oil (it can cause the pans to overheat) and you can take them fully at their recommendation...you really don't need it. I would highly recommend these pans to anyone who is willing to put forth the little care necessary to keep them in good shape.
The nonstick coating is great if you're health-conscious and want to use less fat, it requires less heat, and it cleans up in a snap. I don't have a dishwasher, so I really appreciate this feature. (Don't wash this cookware in the dishwasher!) If you cook for a larger family you may want to consider the 10 piece set, but if you're starting out and cook smaller quantities this has smaller pans and you can add a larger stockpot or skillet later. Use nonstick utensils to avoid damage to the nonstick surface. There was a small scratch on the 8-inch skillet when I received the set, so I mailed it back to the Meyer Corporation and they sent me a new skillet very quickly, no questions asked. I have since ordered the 4-quart pasta pot and 10-quart stockpot. I hadn't thought much about cookware until I started using this line, and now I wouldn't trade it for anything! (If you're upgrading, don't throw your old cookware out, give it to your local refugee resettlement agency or charity so someone else can enjoy it!)
My only two quibbles are the rivets that connect the handle to the pot make the interior not completely smooth so when you wash it, you must pay special attention to remove food that may be stuck in the interface between the pot and the rivets. And the handles are only rated to 350 degrees in the oven. An all-metal handle would have been more professional, but also costs more and would be heavier. My other quibble: The glass lids make it easy to see how your food is doing without letting out the steam. But the handle to the lid is held on with a single screw. Some of my lids spin and others don't. This might be a weakness as time goes on. These pots' bottoms are really FLAT which are excellent for my radiant heat cook top. If you boil water in one, you can see how evenly the SMALL bubbles form which means the heat is very, very even. Your food cooks evenly and FAST which are the main differences between good and not so good cookware. Oh, stainless steel is tougher than alumninum but has lower heat conductivity so the heat doesn't spread across the bottom of the pot as well as alumninum, leading to less even heating. ... I love these pots! I do use the dishwasher and the recommended dishwasher soap and they seem to stand up fine. I am very protective of them, and no one is allowed to stack dishes inside of them. I am still getting used to them though; they require much less oil than I am used to. They also require much less heat than I am used to. I have not used them in the oven, because I just find it akward to put a pot in the oven and have found no need to do so. I love the large 12" saute pan. They are all more than adequate in size. I also just ordered the steamer 3 piece set and a stir-fry pan. If I had more money to spare, I'd also get the roaster. I do not understand why these aren't in the stores. If they were marketed better, I think everyone would want them over the other options. Our local Macy's didn't carry them.

Amazon.com Review Anolon Commercial Clad cookware is made of 18/10 stainless steel with an aluminum core, ensuring perfect heat distribution by ridding itself of the hot spots that plague some pans. Use the two stainless-steel HollowCore handles (riveted to the pan for extra durability) to remove the roaster from the oven. The design of the handles is stylish and attractive, as is the timeless design of the rest of the pan. The handles are oven-safe to 400 degrees F, and the pan is dishwasher-safe. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty. --Rivers Janssen Features | |

Amazon.com Review Features Reviews (10)
Meyer manufactures Analon so they know all the pieces that are available. I wonder how this pan compares with the Analon Classic 12-inch skillet, no lid, ASIN B0000A0VG2? The lid-less pan is listed in its specs as being 3" deep but this one's depth is not given. Carefully comparing the enlarged images of both pans, especially where the rivets are relative to the bottom of the pan, it would seem that this one is deeper than 3". Its depth is not given. I hope so. This pan is priced at more than three times that of the lid-less 12-inch pan. A lid isn't worth that much!
The first I bought was a Calphalon hard-anondized 12" flat bottom pan with plastic dome lid, since I liked Calphalon brand and the pan is made in USA. But that pan was 5 lbs by itself with a very narrow handle, making carrying very tough and my wrist hurted. Plus it's stick resistant but not non-stick, making frying meats, fish even eggs difficult. Heating up is slow too due to the sheer weight of the pan. Then I got T-Fal deep saute non-stick pan. Being a saute pan, the whole 10" bottom is flat, causing overheating spots if you don't have enough food to cover. After a few months use, the supposedly flat bottom became higher in the middle and lower around the edge, causing the oil to flow to the edge exposing the middle which is even more susceptible to overheating. In the end I went through 2 of this pan since the non-stick coating simply warped. A few months ago I saw this pan on sale at Filene's department store and got a chance to check it out. Love at first sight! It satisfies all my criteria and I was excited it was available at Amazon[.com] with even better price and free shipping! After a couple of weeks use, I like it even more. It heats up quickly, foods simply glide inside easily since it is a wok after all, unlike the T-fal saute pan. What's more, the top edge is covered with non-stick coating (unlike some pans with exposed aluminum), so any left-over grease on the edge is easy to clean and won't build up burned grease after long time use. The glass lid makes checking progress so easy. Lastly the lifetime warranty gives me peace of mind. So I give this pan 2 thumbs up!
I bought the 12-piece set of analon classic and really love them. I love them so much that I ordered this stir fry pan and lid. I love this pan so much. I admire its shape and everything. It's my most used pan. It's really big and deep, and the curved sides make it easy to stir things around; nothing gets caught in the angle. And it's a wok with a modified bottom that works on radiant heat!
Enough praises. But I have to tell you that if you use it regularly, it won't last over a year. "Stir Fry" requires high heat and "Nonstick" requires medium heat. "Nonstick Stir Fry" means "good pan for a year". I use it 5 times a week and trust me, it will start sticking within a year no matter what utensils you use and how careful you clean it. Having said that, this stir fry pan is still a good value. Especially the standard size cover which will out last the pan. Do not waste money on those "professional" cookwares that cost over $100. Buy 2 of this instead. The only difference is the professional is heavier and had a thicker Teflon coating.

Amazon.com Review Unlike conventional hard-anodized pots and pans, this cookware isdishwasher-safe because its titanium-composite exterior is nonporous.Nevertheless, its virtue of being dishwasher-safe is not unlimited. Toprevent pots and pans from discoloring in a dishwasher over time--andto prevent voiding the lifetime warranty against defects--themanufacturer's cleaning instructions (included) about water temperature(120 to 140 degrees F) and detergent (mild, with a phosphate contentless that 7-1/2 percent) must be strictly observed. As with mostcookware, hand washing Anolon Titanium is the better alternative forideal care. --Fred Brack Features Reviews (2)
One thing that took getting used to is that it's alot heavier than the aluminum saute pan that I used to use, so it takes quite a bit longer to heat up and responds more slowly to changes in the flame. And it also takes more wrist action to muscle around. The upside, of course, is that the heat is very even and it's worked great for slowly simmering thick sauces. Another downside is that this does NOT include a lid, but my glass 6 qt saucepan lid fits acceptably. I think the titanium aspect, while technically valid, is mostly marketing hype. Apparently it's a thin coating on the exterior - not cooking surface - that's supposed to prevent discoloration in the dishwasher, but I can't imagine you'd ever need more vigorous cleaning than rinsing it out in the sink. ...
