It is what it is
This item does exactly what you would expect. It is a toaster and a toaster oven. I have had no problems and like the look of the item in our kitchen. I like the guides on the back of the oven to keep you from puting it too close to a wall- very practical feature to keep the house from burning down. As far as toaster ovens go, this is the best of the three I have owned. I have not encountered any of the aforementioned problems as of yet (after owning for over 2 months) but time will tell, I guess.

Never Got One That Worked
Bought one, the toaster only toasted on one side. Amazon sent us a replacement, the toaster didn't work at all. We're giving up and buying a different brand.

Stubborn handle
This is such a neat toaster, I got it at my bridal shower, and was so excited to use it. And it worked great the first few times. But the on the toaster part of it... the handle that you press down to push the bread into the toasting slots wouldn't stay down. I had to push over and over again before it finally decided to stay and toast my bread. It doesn't happen everytime, but is very annoying. but the oven part of it has been wonderful, and I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Looks great, toasts slow.
PRO's - Looks cool. I like the little button that makes the toast pop up if you want it sooner than you've set the timer. The oven part keeps a fairly constant temp if you want to slowly heat something or keep it warm. I like the timer dial has numbers for the number of minutes you want to keep it on.

CONS - surface gets VERY hot. My last toaster oven (black and decker I think) I could pick the thing up, touch it anywhere and it was never this hot. If you have the oven part turned on a few minutes later you will not be able to touch the oven to move it on your counter. Be careful. On the back of the oven there are little plastic rods that stick out so you can't push it all the way up against the wall - I think this is because it gets so hot it might melt the cord on the back. You can almost see the little plastic things I'm talking about in the picture. The timer is a stinking wind up timer that you hear going "tick, tick, tick,...". The toaster is incredibly slow. Be prepared to wait 5 minutes (an eternity, believe me) for a lousy piece of toast in the toaster section.

All in all its not bad. For the people trying to bake cookies in a toaster oven all I have to say is, "what are you stupid?"

Don't bother to buy this
Don't bother to buy this item. A copule of months after I bought this item, toaster side broke and I had to send it back to get it repaired. It took them 4-5 weeks to ship it back and I had to pay the shipping charges both ways. ... Read more

Best Value, get what you pay for.
I owned this Rice Cooker for about 6 months. After some helpful tips I finally found out how to make perfect rice with this thing.
1) throughly clean your rice before putting it in the Rice Cooker.
2) Let the 1.25 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice.
3) Let the rice soak for 20 minutes before you power on the thing.

All in all, for $... this is a good deal, but this cooker doesn't last. Give it 1 year and it will die on you. My advice is to go for a more expensive model if you want something to last. If you want to experiment with a rice cooker then snag this one. better yet, get the 3 cup version for $...

Ok everyone
Over and over and over I see everyone complaining about these rice cookers burning rice. Well you know what they are supposed to burn rice! I had one of these for 3 years and each and every time it would burn rice on the bottom and sides. All my friends had various kinds too and they also burnt rice each and every time. I expected it to, just like cooking rice in a pot thats what allowed the rice in the middle to cook properly. Also don't worry, you don't ever eat burnt rice unless of course you sat there and scrapped the burnt stuff off the sides.

These cookers work fine for cooking rice, but expect to have to soak the pan in water for a few hours and scrape the burnt rice off. Also if you are timid about burnt rice stop complaining when you only spent 30 dollars. To get no burnt rice everytime you are going to have to fork over 150 dollars at least for the fuzzy logic ones and they are worth every penny.

great value
I've had this model for about 8 months now and have been completely satisfied with it. I haven't burned rice in it once. Lack of a power switch is somewhat annoying but for the money this item is a great value.

Aroma has lost a customer
I bought this model for my daughter to take to college. She was delighted to receive it, however after about 6 uses, it no longer worked. It's very disappointing when a gift breaks after so little use. I wouldn't buy anything from this manufacturer again.

Lasted for a little more than a year
I picked this model up at sams club for 20 bucks and it has worked very well for an entire year. There are some obvious problems given that it is THE cheapest rice cooker out there- in particular if you dont "unplug" it from the main connection and leave rice in it- the rice will become more like biscuits. But that is basic physics- if the rice is subject to constant heat for an extend period of time it gets completely dehydrated and will become crisp. Thats not the fault of the rice cooker really. But it would have been nice if they added a Power switch on the rice cooker so that one didnt need to keep pulling the plug from the main connection. The other problem is that the rice at the bottom end of the cooker tends to get burnt and sticky (this happens to a very think layer of rice) - becoming a nuisance when washing the cooker. However they also provide a nonstick version of the main pot in which this does not happen.(it came in the same box- at least the one that I bought) ... Read more
