Can't Opener
The title is a more accurate description of this item. It worked fine for a short time then got noisier and had to be backed up with a hand operated opener. The knife sharpener is simply a fixed stone. The bottle opener must be operated by first tilting entire unit backward as it won't accommodate tall bottles. Cheap and ineffective.

works well-good price
This can opener works well, is quieter than previous can openers I have owned. I haven't used the knife sharpener so I can't rate that aspect. It looks good. Worth the price.

Works only for a bit
I bought this a while ago and it worked great for a couple of months. After that it has totally stopped working. the can gripping mechanism has some what come loose and it can no longer grip the can to open it. Currently, its a worthless piece of junk in my kitchen.

We have used this product for about 3 weeks. It has worked as advertised so far. It holds large cans in place. Opens all cans with ease. If the product continues to work over time, it will be the best can opener we have purchased.

Remarkable
Yeah, it's not cheap, and you have to buy pads, but boohoo, people. Cleaning delicate clothes has never been cheap. The point is this product really, really works. It's totally something you wouldn't expect to work, though. An electronic stain remover? What is this, 1950?! But it really does get the job done. Taking a shirt to the dry cleaners is not a better option because this machine pays for itself in less than 20 shirts. Plus, at the dry cleaners your shirt is rolling around in chemicals, some of which are very unsafe, environmentally and possibly medically. And your clothes are rolling around in this stuff that other shirts have been cleaned in. Would you clean your dishes in dirty dishwater? Of course not. But that's what dry cleaning does. Tide Buzz is a must for a single guy, or if you don't have 100 shirts you can choose from at a moment's notice. I recommend this product highly.

They get you coming and going...
It's one thing to give away the razor and make $ off the blades, but the makers of The Buzz have instead chosen to get you both coming and going.

If all this gadget cost were $50 + electricity, I could probably live with that. After all, my fancy iron cost about that much, and I shelled out $80 for my garment steamer. HOWEVER, after lightening my wallet to the tune of $50 at a local linen & bath store, I soon felt pretty stupid at the thought of paying $5 for a TINY bottle of cleaning fluid and another $5 for some little absorbent pads for as long as I own this product, and took it back a week later for a refund.

If someone discovers cheap substitutes for these consumables (who knows...maybe liquid detergent and paper towels would work?) then I might consider buying one of these. For now, it's easier and MUCH more cost-effective for me to just take any stained clothing to the $1.75 dry cleaner down the street.

Blade assembly siezes up
I've had the blender less than 4 months when the blade assembly siezed up. The motor appears to work fine, although it does tend to smell occasionally. I tried taking it apart and greasing it, but still would not spin. Also, I burnt myself while taking it off the stand to wash it. Apparently, the rubber is steaming hot! I did not put a lot of demands on this blender, just an occasional smoothie for myself. I would not recommend this blender.

Well this blender is worked good, but now the middle park that attaches to the mix cracked and now I just can't used it. how can I get a part for it or try to returned, I know that Target doesn't have it anymore. PLEASE HELP.

I had enough of this S^&*T yesterday! It doesn't crush, it smells like burnt motor when I use it and it just plainly sucks. I was making icecream and it has a HARD TIME blending milk and tofu! poor quality machine...It is in trash...

It Makes Me Breakfast!
This power engine blade "puppy" mixes a banana, 2 scoops of sugar-free fat-free ice cream, and Slim-Fast together for me in the morning. I'm a 41 year old widow making breakfast for myself now easily with the BL600. This blender is loud, but that's OK as it wakes me up!

Excellento!!
This is a fabulous find for those who know good coffee when they've tasted it, but can't afford to spend what it usually takes to get it.
The caraffe keeps the coffee hot and steamy for hours, and the taste is always right on the money.
I am getting this cofee maker for my sister and mom. I love it!!

BIG MISTAKE
I received this as a Christmas present from some friends. After carefully examining the instructions, I thought it was pretty clear how to use this coffeemaker.

There is a drain hole in the back and if you accidentally overfill it or have it filled to the max line and need to move the coffeemaker, water pours out from the back through this hole.

When I made my first pot of coffee, everything went well. The 2nd pot wasn't so good -- I had coffee grounds literally sputtering out all over the place (walls, counter, all over the machine.

It is a messy unit as well. When removing the basket to empty it, i've noticed that the basket is often still filled with coffee that hadn't drained into the pot.

I've had better coffeemakers in the past that brewed into a carafe; the coffee doesn't stay hot as long as some of the more expensive units, the spout isn't that great; it dribbles.

I would strongly suggest spending the extra money on a better quality unit.

DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS ONE
This is the worst coffeemaker I have every used. I can't believe that anyone had a good experience with this coffee maker. You have to babysit this coffeemaker when you turn it on. If not, the basket will spill coffee grounds all over your counter. You have to hit the bull's eye when placing the coffee pot on the coffee maker.(Because of sneak a cup feature) I called the manufactor to complain, they could care less about my complaint. I am very unhappy with Black and Decker. Hope this reveiw helps someone to avoid this frustration.

Don't waste your money on this one!
I purchased both the white and black models of this maker (not sure why a price difference) and use them at work. I use one for tea and the other for coffee. I have had constant problems with the one used for coffee. The water either comes thru faster than the filter will process it thru the coffee OR the spring mechanism that allows the water to drip thru the filter into the pot is not lined up exactly right and in both cases...we get 40 oz. of coffee and grinds flowing over the edge of the coffee basket. If I have to stand by the coffee pot to make sure it works properly each time I start it up, it's not worth the money I spent on it. Like most things in life...spend cheap, get cheap. I would definitely keep looking for another coffee maker. Any coffee maker that explodes like other customers have mentioned is reason enough to stay away from this impending disaster. I didn't catch the explosion reviews until a few months after my purchase.

Stopped working
I had a pervious Black & Decker Thermal carafe coffeemaker for years and loved it. I replaced it with a new one, when I broke the carafe cleaning it (I didn't read the directions on how to clean it). So I bought another one but it leaked out of the bottom ,after about two months so I exchanged it for a new one. That one literally stopped working after about a month, so I returned that one. fire warning
We had a house fire that started in the kitchen. The fire marshall attributed the fire to our Black and Decker Spacesaver Can Opener!

Works great after 7 years!!!
We received this as a housewarming gift and it has worked great ever since. Its very easy to clean the handle pops right off. Also it really is a spacesaver. I have so many kitchen items on my counters and its great that it is out of the way. I've moved to a different home and you can unscrew it from the cabinet and take it to your new home.

Works Great After 4 Years
I've had this for 4 years and it's a fantastic kitchen tool. It has opened every size can & I have never once pulled out the manual opener. The installation was frustrating. It may be designed for different width cabinets. We used some wood shims (thin wood strips) inside the cabinet to attach with the mounting strip and it's very secure. Maybe you could try shims underneath the cabinet if clearance is your problem. Bottom line - frustrating installation, fantastic opener

I just wanted to say that this has been a great tool in my kitchen for nearly 4 years now. I have NEVER had to pull out the manual can opener. The installation was not easy. I don't remember if the directions were poor or what the exact problem was. However, we were able to mount it very securly under the kitchen cabinet by putting 2 wood shims (thin pieces of wood) in the cabinet and then screw the mounting brackets into that. I understand the frustration of rigging up something, but really - this is a fantastic opener. one side toasting
i just bought this toaster and i am returning it.it mostly only toasts one side.one side turns out perfct (top to bottom)while the other side is hardly even started to brown.
it would and is good for bagels without even having a bagel setting.
i also bought the betty crocker 4 slice last week and returned it,that was a really bad one it only browned one side and it burnt the top part and over cooked the middle and did'nt brown the bottom at all.
well my search is still on.oh boy,for crying out loud it's a toaster,i can't belive how hard it is to find a good one.
you would think it is a new invention and the kinks still need to be worked out.

It's great!
I have had this can opener for 5 years and the only reason I am purchasing another is that my current one looks worn-out. There is nothing broken and it still works great. The knife sharpner is a blessing. This opener even opens very large cans with ease.

WHY Do I KEEP Buying This??! Please Suggest An Alternative!
Hmmm, I just realized that this would have been the FOURTH time replacing this SAME can opener within the span of 5 year! I've read a few of the reviews and see now that the flaws in this particular opener are common!
The only reason I keep replacing it with this same one is because it mounts under the cabinet, up and off the counter tops..I think that's it's only quality! It no longer comes with a built-in knife sharpener..guess B&D figured they could make even more money selling a knife sharpener alone as a small appliance! The piercer that opens the cans quickly became dull to the point it will no longer open a can without force. IF I am successful in piercing a can, I have to hold it so it won't fall and again I have to force "walk" the can around as it will not make the revolution on it's own.
Can anyone suggest a GOOD under cabinet mount can opener please??

Looking for an alternative
We received this can opener in 2000 and have used it once or twice a day for the past 3 years. For the past two months, it will cut 1/2" into the can, then stop. You have to jerk the can out to reposition the can under the can opener, then you can go another 1/2". IT would take FOREVER to get a can open this way. I have resorted to my hand held can opener. This can opener is not strong enough to open heavier metal cans (like Pedigree dog food). I need an alternative, don't want to get the same thing after looking over the reviews.

Poor choice
This unit worked for about 5 months, then it decided that it would start dropping cans. Now 3 months later it won't even hold the can or even open it.

No Knife Sharpener!
I received one this afternoon as a replacement for a B & D under counter unit whose can holder broke after 5 years. When I opened it up, there's no longer a knife sharpener, the instructions indicated the EC 900 has the knife sharpener. Another piece of Dustbuster junk.
Don't waste your money on this or any other "dustbuster" vaccum. This is the 3rd one I've owned, lukily it was a gift, so I didn't waste my money on it. The problem is that Black & Decker still uses NiCad batteries, which develop a memory if you don't completely discharge before you recharge (and when do you ever do that with a dustbuster?) The result is a vaccum that works OK for about 6 months, but then works for about 1-2 minutes before the battery goes dead. For a few pennies more they could use a NiMH battery pack, and maybe this thing would work. Until then, I reccoment a corded Dirt Devil Scorpion. Having to pull an extension cord is well work having a vaccum that actually works.

Worst thing ever made!!!
I got this as a present because I wanted a dust buster so I could vaccum my truck out. This thing never ever stays charged!! It also cant even suck up anything. A waste of money!!! I now own a shop Vac!!!!

DISPOSABLE Duster
Black&Decker should mention in LARGE print that although this vacuum is rechargeable, the rechargeable battey eventually loses its charge and is not replaceable -- mine lasted less than a year (I used it 10 minutes a week on average). Unfortunately, I recycled the battery pack before I learned I needed it to get a replacement unit under the warranty. Also, B&D website was dense and hard to navigate. I had to contact their phone support (which only operates M-F) to find out I had worthless piece of garbage. I would recommend another model or, for me, another brand.

I agree with labmommy--great product but short life! After only a few months of having it (and cleaning it diligently) the motor stopped running. I tried everything--charging it, looking at the motor, and it's dead. I might as well just go to Sam's or Wal-Mart where I can at least return it without much hassle. Good thing this was only $30.

Powerful and Does the Job
This is a great little gadget that every household could use. I dont even own a dust pan anymore because after I sweep I just suck up all the dust with this.It's not bad to clean either..just take it apart, shake out dirt in trash, run parts uder hot water (the parts that can get wet) and dry. Not hard to reassemble. The only thing keeping me from rating it at 5 stars is I get annoyed reconnecting it to the charging base. Very effective little processor for the money
I don't have a huge need for a food processor, so I chose one that had a few basic features, and which was really inexpensive. I've only had the machine for a month or so, but I've found that it's completely satisfactory, given the low price tag. It chops things up to consistent sizes, and I haven't had any troubles with food sneaking out of the plastic insert when it's supposed to stay in the bowl.

It's no Cuisinart or Kitchen Aid, but overall, it's not bad! The controls have a solid feel to them, and the machine itself doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart at any given second - it's very solid. Everything is dishwasher-safe, which is a huge plus. I expect any processor to be quite noisy, and this one is, but not so much so that I wouldn't use it. The bowl is a good size, so I don't have to empty it out until I'm done with whatever food currently needs to be chopped/shredded.

I have noticed that the bowl locking mechanism is a little bit sticky, but with firm (not "brutal" or "harsh") pressure, it slides in just fine.

Overall, it's met my expectations for a machine of its price.

I would give it less stars if I could....

I used this food processor 2 times before it broke. I put a potato in and the middle of the grater blade shredded into plastic shreds. I called Black and Decker for a replacement shredder - and found out that they charge $20 for the replacement part on a $30 machine! Don't buy this - it's not worth it!

A piece of junk
I have had this item for about a year. I used it mainly for light things like mayonnaise, small batches of biscuit or shorthbread dough. Recently, the bowl shattered while in use. Large shards snapped off from the base and a lid clasp broke off. I investigated the cost of replacing the part and found that it was within $5.00 of the cost of a new unit. I am not shopping around for a new unit - from a different brand.

No more cheap appliances for me!
I would have given negative stars, but there isn't an option for that. I was looking for an inexpensive food processor for the occasional job that requires a food processor. Black & Decker usually makes very good appliances, and for the price I paid, I said what the heck. What a mistake! This processor sounds like it's heralding the apocalypse and after 3 uses, one of the bowl clips snapped right off. I also tried to use the continuous flow chute. About 1/4 of my chopping ended up in the processor bowl. Thankfully, it didn't explode like the other reviewers! I guess I'll have to wait for a Cuisinart or Kitchen Aid to go on sale... ...
