Great Power!!!!
I love this gadget! First, it is more powerful than its competitors, as evidenced by its use of 4 AA batteries, instead of the usual 2. Secondly, it's great for emulsifying powder-based drinks, such as hot cocoa or protein shakes. Zip, zip and everything is perfectly blended. Third, how nice to make a smoothie just for oneself without pulling out the entire blender and having the massive cleanup of parts for just one serving. Lastly, it's compact, fits nicely in a kitchen drawer and makes a great kitchen/bar bridal shower gift. It's the bomb! Get it, use it, wonder how you lived without it.

Best battery-powered hand mixer I've used
I've had one of these for about 5 years, used it close to daily, and I swear by it.What sets this one apart from other hand mixers is the torque.The 4 AA batteries allow it to pack more of a punch than 2-battery mixers, and the RPMs it can produce will thoroughly mix or froth any drink.

I use mine for powdered protien shakes, and it always produces a foamy creamy shake that tastes better than the pre-mixed ones.There are a lot of cheaper, and smaller mixers of this type, but none which can consistantly produce these results.

Favorite Kitchen Toy EVER
First, the price on this item here at Amazon is unreal!! You can't beat 50% off. But more importantly, this little gadget is amazing. I have a steam frother on my espresso maker, but I think this frother is about to make that machine obsolete. I have little counter space so I can just slide this in a drawer when I'm finished. As for splatter - I have had no trouble with that whatsoever. And believe me, I have frothed, whipped, or emulsified just about everything in my kitchen with this thing - I have so much fun with it and you get instant, fantastic results.

I brought this item from QVC 3 years ago and it's the best one out of 3 frothers I own. I like the sheath which because it keeps it from getting damage in my rather cluttered utensil drawer. It scrambles eggs excellently and I love how it blended my mother's Ensure powder mix in milk--no lumps. Some people say it's noisy, but I didn't find it noisy at all. Torch Song Trilogy
I purchased this set with some apprehension after reading one reviewer who claimed the product couldn't produce a steady flame. Honestly, I'm not sure if that reviewer was using the product improperly or just got a defective one; my experience has been quite the opposite. The unit is a cinch to fill with butane (not included with the set), reliably and easily produces a flame, and provides adjustable flame size (both length and width). I know there are more expensive kitchen torches on the market (some by this same manufacturer) but I think this one is suitable for every kitchen use. In fact, when my neighbor saw mine he wanted one for his home workshop! The included ceramic creme brulee ramekins are the right size, though they are manufactured in China, not France. Also included is a simple, basic recipe for Creme Brulee (though I have not tried it yet but instead used one of my own). Price, performance, and panache are the trilogy which make this set a winner.

Good Buy
Tested several torches in the store and found this one to be the best. Once I got it home it was fun learning how to use to on real deserts. Happy I picked this one.

I was so excited to make my very first creme brulee for my husband. I purchased the BonJour torch, and as a novice cook I found the torch so easy and fun to use. I loved it and he loved the creme brulee!

Poorly designed. Stirring rod is not removable for cleaning. Installing batteries is a major challenge if you do not have good dexterity.
