My favorite grill pan
I have owned my fair share of indoor grills, from a Foreman grill to a really heavy grill pan which I ordered through Amazon. Not too long ago I recently acquired the Calphalon grill pan because my Foreman grill is too small if I want to cook a piece of meat and some vegetables at the same time. Plus the black coating on my Foreman grill is wearing out. So I bought the Calphalon grill pan when it was on sale at a local department store. I haven't been able to get enough of it. It is so easy to clean even when I had cooked a piece of meat that was marinated in Italian dressing or in my own concoction of ground fennel seed, garlic, shallots, and extra virgin olive oil. The marinade will of course stick to the grill which is expected however cleaning it off the grill pan was so much easier than my last grill pan which was heavy and difficult to clean because it wasn't non-stick. I also like using the Calphalon grill pan because I can cook both the meat and vegetable (say asparagus) at the same time. The results are fabulous. I get those wonderful grill marks and grill taste. Response to other reviews
If you have uneven heat, maybe your cooktop is the problem. Plus if your using this particular 7 Quart pan, maybe its way to big for your cooking element.

Any pan will warp if you take it from burning hot to cold water in the sink.

Only thing wrong with these pans are if they are used by the wrong people. People who should stick with a 20 piece $9.99 set at a department store.

There is not one flaw or problem with these pans. Its operator error not manufacturing problems.

Warps, Uneven heat
When I bought this pan, it was perfectly flat. However, after only one use (seared chicken, then deglazed with broth), the pan warped so much you could spin it on a flat surface!

I also noticed that my chicken pieces browned unevenly due to lack of even heat. The heat is so uneven that you can feel the temperature differences with your hand.

I'm going to stick with Calphalon's Tri-Ply Copper line from now on.

Good so far
I've only used this once, so I don't feel right giving it 5 stars yet, but I'm happy with it. The pan worked pretty much as advertised: I cooked a large batch of meatballs, covering the entire surface of the pan, then cooked a large amount of sauce with them. This is a biiig pan... yet it seemed to heat pretty evenly to the edges. Got very good browning, much the same as stainless steel. It's a bit of a stretch to call this a "nonstick" pan -it's no teflon- but it was far less sticky than stainless steel or regular Calphalon hard-anodized. I'd call it "stick-resistant." Also, the handles stayed surprisingly cool during use.

One of my most used items in the kitchen
as someone who does not fry food but likes to have crispy pancakes or big evenly cooked ones for guests, this griddle is fantastic. I find myself using it all the time and it is a dream to clean. immediately it is washed and hung up. I always have it close at hand

The Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle is a heavy well made griddle, one note: it is made in China not the USA.

Great griddle
I have a cheap griddle same size, and now have this Calphalon one. BIG difference. Much better heat distribution, better teflon = easier clean. Handy for bacon (may need to pour of drippings if a lot of bacon), grilled sandwiches, pancakes, eggs.

A perfect griddle
It's heavy and dead-flat. What can you say about a griddle except that it does exactly what you wish a griddle would do. There are no hot-spots, and the handle stays cool. (The Calphalon Contemporary handles are big, and may get in the way occasionally -- but they stay very cool.)

One thing, though -- the non-stick surface is *really* non stick. Make an omlette and it'll spread over just about the whole bottom of the pan in no-time-flat -- which is just great, so long as you like really thin omlettes. Over-easy eggs can be a bit tricky because it's so slippery -- it's not that easy to get the spatula underneath! (Part of that's because plastic and coated spatulas are thicker than metal ones.) One time I almost pushed an egg right off the griddle and onto the stovetop. But anyone who's ever had something stick to a griddle will not complain that nothing can stick.

Cleanup is strange. It just doesn't get dirty. I've only had this awhile, but I've used it twenty times, and the nonstick is not only still in perfect condition, it doesn't even show the "bright spots" that, with high-quality non-stick cookware, indicates some mechanical burnishing. Good Value and Quality
It's great for carmelizing medium batches of onions and sautéing mushrooms. It you want to braise up a prepared large chicken breast (or two small ones), it's perfect as well. This TriPly pan stacks up well to All-clad and is a bit better for most of my needs than the 7-1/2 inch sauté All- Clad I have. The handle fits my hand better also.

Dimensions aside, for the price and quality, go with Calphalon TriPly Stainless unless you absolutely have to have the most expensive.

Nice little pan
I bought this pan as a Gold Box item, and am really pleased with it. It does a lovely job with two-egg omelettes. Heats evenly, gets the butter to the right temperature, no sticking. What else could you want?

beautiful little pan
I love this pan! Not only is it beautiful to look at, it heats extremely evenly, the rolled lip pours perfectly, and one-handed saute flips are a breeze. Nothing seems to burn, and everything I have cooked in it has browned extremely evenly (no hot spots for this pan!). I actually prefer it to the All-Clad 7 1/2 inch fry pan (which is just a tiny bit too small).

Yes, as with all stainless steel it will develop heat marks, but stainless steel polish takes care of that in a second.

It makes me want the 12 inch one!!!

Four and a half stars really
I bought this pan for its size and from blind confidence in the name brand's reputation. I was very pleasantly surprised by what a great value this pan was. It is the perfect size to sautee a few mushrooms, fry some appetizers, or make a small omelette. What worried me the most is the fact that this pan does not have the black, non-stick surface that we have all grown to love. My worries have been laid to rest though, as each time this pan emerges from the dishwasher it is spotlessly clean! I highly recommend this pan.

Economic Alternative to All-Clad but Limited Line
The Calphalon Tri-Ply line uses a construction similar to the All-Clad stainless only with glass lids. The 8" pan is great for reheating a small dish or an egg or two. The biggest problem with the Tri-Ply products is that the line is too limited. With All-Clad, you can get almost anything, but you will pay at least 2X what these cost. I prefer a stainless exterior versus the anodized aluminum because it cleans so much easier. The aluminum-sandwich bottoms of other brands are poorly balanced and tend to burn right where the stainless-only sides begin. I'll never own other bakeware!
This angel food pan is certainly the best I've ever owned. I was so tired of making what had the potential to be a great cake, only to have half of it left in the pan, despite my best efforts. Since buying my first piece, I've cleaned my cabinets of all my old bakeware, and replaced everything with Calphalon.

This is as close to perfect as you can get with an angel food cake pan. You should definitely follow Calphalon's directions when they say prep the pan as you would any other, and follow the cake recipe as though this were not a non-stick pan. That is the only way you are going to have the easy slide-out.

Take note of the fact that you can't stack Calphalon - make sure you've got the room to store it, and are prepared to take the time to care for it properly. (Paper towels in between)

Also, you cannot put it in the dishwasher. This is a very important point when it comes to Calphalon.

Again, make sure you read the use and care instructions.

You will never need to own another cake pan again.

Perfect Bundt Cake
Because I loved using my Calphalon cookware so much, I decided to find out if their bakeware would give me improved baking results. I'm happy to say that I have been very pleased with this pan. I've had problems in the past with a Nordicware bundt pan - it became scratched on the inside, and my bundt cakes would always stick to it. This Calphalon Commercial Bakeware Bundt Form Pan is very heavy duty, so cakes bake evenly.

Before pouring in my cake dough, I grease the inside of this pan with a bit of shortening, wiping off the excess with a paper towel. Although the pan is nonstick, I find that this method works best. I use the shortest of the suggested cooking times for my recipes. If I need to loosen the edges of the baked cake when removing it from the pan, I use a Calphalon nylon spatula/knife. I hand-wash this pan as I do with all my Calphalon cookware and bakeware.

the worst Bundt pan!
I just recieved my Calphalon Bundt pan nonstick...
I expected this to be the best ever, after all that I heard what Amazon buyers had to say about it...

WHAT A BIG DISAPOINTMENT....

I oiled and floured the pan as said, waited for the cake to cool somewhat,and used a thin wooden spoon to go around the sides...I just got it out of the pan,and one half of the cake came out,finally the other half, and all of the bottom of the cake stayed stuck to the pan.This is a cake that I make all the time, with out this much trouble. Glad I was not having any company for this cake ..
I have another cheap nonstick, that doesnt even have a name on it, that works better then this one...

I just bought a few piece of Calphalon Commercial nonstick and Hard-anodized cookware that I just Love, so I expected the same preforminst, what a disapointment...
Will be sending this bundt pan back as soon as I can get the rest of the cake out of it!!

If any of you think that I did something wrong, that I had this much trouble, please let me know?....
I will call Calphalon to find out also...
I did notice when I recieved it,that around the inside of the pan it looks that there is crimp all around it!!!

Excellent Bundt Pan!
I love this pan! My husband prefers the Bundt shape to traditional round so I use this pan all the time. My cakes come out perfect every time and the clean up is a breeze. The Calphalon nonstick coating really makes a difference. Definitely a step above the rest!

I bake often, and have had many "non-stick" bundt cake pans...this one is by far the best! Cakes slip out of the pan with no effort. With other pans, you'd often find me putting the pan in hot water, slipping a knife round the side of the cake (ruining the cake in the process), or whacking it on the outside, praying the cake would come out intact. I like to use this straight wall rack for hanging Calphalon stainless steel utensils, small Calphalon Commercial Hard Anodized Omelet pans, Sauté pans, Chef Pans, Saucepans, or the Butterwarmer. The stainless cool-v handle on the Commercial line matches the handles on the stainless utensils. The rack comes with 4 single hooks. I don't use any double hooks on this rack because I find it too small for that. I use 6 single hooks about 4 inches apart if I am hanging utensils.

Plain but Good Enough
Bought this thinking it would 'make a statement' on the wall I was hanging it on. It is a smaller unit than I anticipated, so had to work it together with a cookbook shelf just above. Even though it's 'plain jane' it does a great job of keeping the cookware out of the cabinets and within easy reach.

Excellent for what it is - but Manufacturers Defects Are Bad
Rack was shipped quickly but arrived damaged. Not from shipping. One of the predrilled holes was completely stripped, so the unfinished (i.e., shiney!) metal shows around the hole -- about 1/4" in diameter. I "fixed" it with black paint and it is only noticeable from very close as I placed the rack fairly high on my wall. All in all the rack is great, I have 8 cast iron pieces hanging from it, there is only a very slight bend to the bar, it is very sturdy. Standard "black" drywall screws match the bar's finish perfectly. An excellent deal for $25, especially if your's comes without any manufacturer screw ups!!!

Not complete
First I'll start by saying I like rack itself, but it is a pain that it doesn't come with mounting screws. Good luck trying to find screws that match the color of the rack.

32.5 inch pot rack
I ordered this item because it perfectly fit the 32-inch wall space above my stove. When I received the rack, it actually measured 32.5 inches -- 31 inches of bar and 1.5 inches for the mounting. Good mini muffin pan
This is a great mini-muffin pan. However the only problem I have is there is a rim around each individiual muffin area and food an easily get in the crease. This is a pain in cleaning. It does a great job cooking. I only wish there was no seam for food particles to get into.

Calphalon Commercial Bakeware 24-Cup Muffin Pan - Great!
The Calphalon Commercial Nonstick Bakeware collection is excellent. I recommend them without reservation. I really like this 24 cup muffin pan. I also have one 12 cup pan and two 6 cup Calphalon Commercial Nonstick muffin pans. The 24 cup pan is a perfect size for tea cupcakes. It is nice to have a variety of sizes, depending on the size of the recipe you can make 24 mini and 6 - 12 regular size cupcakes. Frost or decorate them differently and your guests with think you spent all day slaving over your desserts. This mini size is also nice for holidays when you may be making a variety of desserts, after you put out your pies etc. decorate the buffet table by placing mini cupcakes around the pies. The nonstick finish on this pan is excellent, however I always use muffin cups. Not because you have to, I just think it is easier and looks nicer.

One note: you may want to check on your cup cakes / muffins a couple of minutes early. I have noticed that cakes are done a little quicker in pans with a dark finish. Many newer recipes will indicate the timing for dark finish bakeware. These pans are also a breeze to clean, just a little soap and water and you are done. Wonderful Pans! Highly recommended!

Also, read the Calphalon brochure in the box, if you plan to nest this pan with others make sure to put a paper towel between them to prevent any damage to the nonstick coating. And, this pan is not dishwasher safe.

I wouldn't even trade it for an All Clad bake pan, all my cookware is All Clad and I love it but nothing beats high quality, heavy duty Nonstick bakeware!

Same high quality as all the Caphelon bakeware!
This is yet another offering from Caphelon in their bakeware line. I love this line of bakeware. The pan is heavy and the non-stick surface works well as it should. I sing only praises for this pan and others in this bakeware line.

This is obviously not a must-have for the pantry, but if you are a parent you may find special uses for this with your children. The mini-muffin pan can be used for muffins or cupcakes. Offering children these small cupcakes is a way to offer a complete cupcake without the larger size of a normal cupcake. I'd rather bake great cupcakes from scratch than buying these same sized small ones that are always in the grocery store which are laden with preservatives and chemicals. This small size is great for limiting portions for both adults and children, especially with cupcakes! (I serve the very healthy muffins in the larger size in hope that my children will consume the larger portion.) I have found my children are not receptive to being offered half of a normal sized cupcake so I can use this pan to make smaller sized cupcakes instead. A fun idea to do with the kids is to first put a white colored frosting on the top, then have the children decorate the tops with colored gel frosting, sprinkles or colored sugar however they like. This is a fun activity for holiday parties such as Easter egg hunts or birthday parties. It is easy and fun to make the activity and the food item tied into one rather than have a game or some separate game for me to organize and execute! Serving one cupcake per child for a child's birthday party is a fun alternative to serving an entire cake. (You can save the big cake for the family party instead. Calphalon is premium cookware in every regard. The weight and durability of the set along with the the versatility of the pieces make this an exceptional buy. What differentiates this set from "generic" Calphalon sets you can buy elsewhere is the inclusion of the the tempered glass lids that are normally only available on the the next more expensive Calphalon set. The only down-side is that the handle on the small egg pan is a bit too heavy for the pan itself and will tilt the pan on an electric cooktop without a heavy item (not eggs) in the pan. Excellent Everyday Pan!
This pan has been an excellent investment and a very nice substitute for the much more expensive All-Clad version. I am happy I tried this line and absolutely love the much lower cost without sacrificing quality. I suggest the Tri-Ply line as a cost cutting alternative to some All-Clad products.

Buy this
The best feature of this pan is how uniformly it really does cook. There wasn't a single hot-spot, unlike many of the other different brands of stainless pans I have used.

Because I am interested in prolonging the lifespan of this pan, and since it is a large size to be squeezing into most dishwashers, I had already planned in advance to hand-wash, despite my aprehension about that being a difficult process. I now know that there was no reason to be aprehensive. This is a pan I frequently use and it cleans up easily whether it contained Spanish rice, eggs, or a cheese-topped casserole.

Also, unlike a similar pan I have from the hard-anodized line, the glass lid is quite handy for monitoring without letting out the steam. Plus, the lid seals extremely well. I had to alter the amount of water I used in a couple of my recipes because this kept the steam in so much more effectively than my old pan that I was left with extra water in this one! ...
