5-0 out of 5 stars Good things do come in small packages!
Don't let the size and the weight fool you. The Harmony is powerful for its size. This unit is unbelievably quiet when compared to an upright or other canisters. We have hardwoods throughout and 2 dogs that shed (tumbleweeds)all year round. This vacuum has no problem handling the job. This is a must vacuum for pet owners! The unit does an awesome job of eliminating dust and absolutely no odors from the unit (unlike the bag units). I have never had a vacuum which has made doing carpeted stair cases so easy. I finish in half the time. The tools are easy to switch around. I do agree with the previous review, if you have wall to wall I would suggest the larger unit.

All in all, I am very pleased and have recommended it to several friends and family who will be purchasing the unit soon.

4-0 out of 5 stars quiet and powerful
Light and quiet, the Harmony really cleans hardwood floors and area rugs well. We don't have wall-to-wall, but from what I can tell, if you have lots of carpets I would recommend moving up to the Oxygen model. It does not come with a powered carpet attachment. Gotta work a bit to clean carpets - glides easily on hardwood. Stores in small places. Great design and easy to use; instructions are a bit weak. Overall happy, great in a small city house/apartment. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Which Electrolux?
Star rating is just a placeholder, but you might find the following helpful.

I was doing research on Electrolux vacuum as my Mom has used those before and doesn't want anything less. I was surprised and confused when I discovered that there are actually two Electrolux brand out there.

One is Aerus Electrolux, Texas based (www.aerusonline.com), and the other is the US subsidiary of Electrolux, headquartered in Sweden (www.electrolux.com).

I originally thought the Swedish maker (Volvo springs to mind) is the one that my Mom is familiar with, but turns out that Aerus Electrolux vacuum are actually the ones.

Aerus Electrolux's top of the line Guardian 9000 carries a list price of over sixteen hundred, and retails realistically for about a thousand and is sold mostly through dealers. The Swedish Electrolux's top of the line Oxygen Ultra retails for five hundred and you can find it on Amazon. The Swedish maker also owns the Eureka brand (a respectable vacuum too).

I ended up buying a Guardian 9000 from Aerus Electrolux for my Mom and she's been very happy with it for the past year. It is built like a tank, bullet-proof Lexan plastic, good suction, HEPA filter. And we know neighbors with earlier versions that lasted decades and still going.

I noticed that some of the other reviewers who owned Electrolux before are disappointed with the Oxygen. Well, I guess they might have owned an Aerus Electrolux before, and did not know that Oxygen Ultra is actually made by a different company.

Now, how can two companies own the same brand? Aerus Electrolux was founded in 1924 in US, the Swedish maker in 1919 (according to their respective web sites). I don't know when the Swedish maker started marketing in earnest in US, but Aerus might have lost a court battle somewhere, which would explain why the Guardian vacuum machines carry the LUX (R) trademark these days instead of Electrolux.

Would I buy any vacuum machine for over a thousand? Probably not. But if you or someone in your family is in search of a perfect vacuum, the above might help.

5-0 out of 5 stars Satisfied Wife
My wife had purchased a Fantom Lightning Vac some 3 or 4 years ago and had nothing but trouble with it almost from the beginning but for sure after the warranty had expired. After searching the market and being disappointed with the quality of today's vacuums, She remarked that her old Electrolux lasted for more than 20 years and that she should just get another one. Well, we found it on Amazon.Com and read the reviews to which we agreed that some people just aren't mechanically inclined and disregarded the negatives. We purchased the model 6988A and once again, my wife is very pleased with her vacuuming machine. The quality is built in and the performance really satisfies her. Thanks, Electrolux, for building products that our loving spouses like. Well worth the monies.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mighty Mite
This stylish vacuum is light and compact but as powerful as the big lug-arounds. It leaves the carpet free of dirt and debris and fluffs up the pile like new; however, it's main advantages are it's quietness and dust free operation. Other HEPA vacuums that I have owned always had dust on them after I used them. This vacuum has virtually no dust on it after you use it and that's using the regular vacuum bag (there is a vacuum bag available that filters even more dust, etc.). The dust bag is extremely easy to change and has a "self-sealing" feature that prevents dust from escaping while it is being removed from the canister. I found no problems in assembling and disassembling the hoses, wands and accessories; so I don't know what the other users who reported a problem in this area were doing wrong. The only drawback is the "on-board" cleaning tool storage which fits awkardly on the outside of the canister but the compact size of the vacuum is more than an even trade-off for this shortcoming.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Nice Vacuum
I bought this vaccum after developing allergies for the first time. My parents have had an elextrolux for the past 25 years and it has always worked great. Although Eureka is now making these electrolux vaccums I expect that in order to preserve the integrity of the name they will make every effort to make sure this product line is up to standard, and I think they have succeded in this regard.
Contrary to the other reviews I took my vaccum home and was able to connect all of the pieces by myself without any problems. The bags are small, but so is the vaccum. If you want bigger bags chose an upright, but beware, the hepa filtration on those units is not as good. The filter and bags are easy to acess. The power head is very sturdy but has a little trouble standing on its own- it can do it, but will fall down with the slightest breeze.
The vaccum is very quiet. To test the suction I first vaccumed with my old vaccum and then revaccumed with this one. I was very impressed. I could hear every piece of sand and crumb climbing up the hose- and there was a lot!!! It even has a light so you can vaccum in the dark, or in a dark corner. The head seems to move itself effortlessly across the room.
If you are considering this machine, don't be afraid of the other reviews. I did not experience their woes.

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY THIS VACUUM OR THIS BRAND
This vacuum is not worth the money. My vacuum worked for two weeks before the belt broke and they do not carry belts at this time. According to a customer service representative they did not expect belts to malfunction so they are on backorder for the time being. When I called customer service I was told a number of stories, but in the end no one offered to help and I was told I would just have to wait for the parts to come in (about 3 months). According to an electrolux repairman, these are basically overpriced eurekas because this company paid for the electrolux name. My advice is to buy a bissell. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Big wheels, a light body, and generous attachments make the Eureka Mighty Mite vacuum just the tool for speedy vacuum jobs. With its lengthy hose and full-length floor brush attached, the little vacuum is great for carpet or bare floors. Designed for simple bag changing, the vacuum sits up on one end so removing and replacing the bag is easy. At 11 pounds, the Mighty Mite is a snap to carry and stores most of its attachments onboard. Even the power cord wraps cleverly around a back hook and the front wheel mount. With a crush-resistant 7-foot hose and two extension wands, this vacuum is easy to store and provides a lot of extension. The crevice tool is great for corners and a combination attachment dusts furniture and cleans upholstery, and, best of all, the hose swivels fully at the connecting point for surprisingly easy maneuvering. --Emily Bedard ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Did not meet my expectations
I bought this vacuum based on the following:
I am moving into a small apartment and I am a small person. Picking up upright vacuums is strenuous for me, and I didn't want to have to store something the size of an upright. Ideally, I wanted something that can clean all the floors of my apartment, tile and carpet without buying separate units. I was skeptical about buying a vacuum online, but it is from a reputable manufacturer, as my mom's steel olive green Eureka from the 70s continues to work well.

Oddly, I did not find the noise to be a problem, and the attachments stayed in place without any vibrations.

Here are my problems and disappointments with this vacuum:
The vacuum having a "floor brush" is misleading. There are no rotating bristles on this vacuum. While the suction is excellent on this vacuum, without a "brush" I do not feel the vacuum is really getting between the fibers of the carpet, and it is just vacuuming the surface.

The cleaning path of the floor attachment is not full width, it measures approximately 3/4" by 3" in the middle of the attachment. I believe a Black and Decker DustBuster has a larger cleaning path. Therefore, this vacuum does not have suction for the edges of the carpet, or against furniture. You will have to remove the floor attachment and use the nozzle to pick up debris close to baseboards.

Furthermore, it looks like in previous models the floor attachment locked onto the wand, and was released by pushing a button. On this model it does not lock onto the wand and comes off when I push the unit back and forth on a carpeted surface.

As this is a canister vac, sometimes it might bang into an object as it trails behind. The door to the bag chamber opened on me as a result.

The Mighty Mite would be fine if I had mostly barefloors with some small area rugs. Even better solution to this scenario though is the Dirt Devil Powerstick. The triangular floor attachment gets into corners and the suction is along the edges. The Powerstick is smaller and much more maneuverable.

4-0 out of 5 stars A vacuum that really sucks
You will cry "Eureka" with delight if you buy this vacuum. Its 9 amps gives you sucking power very nearly equivalent to that of a traditional, full-size machine. Plus, it's very well-thought-out, and with its long hose and lots of attachments, it will take care of 90% of your vacuuming needs.

If you live in an apartment, this is really all you need. The only thing you can't do well or quickly is thick rugs. To do those rugs well, you'll have to get a big, "real" machine that costs three times as much. I'm withholding one star on the Mighty Mite because the vacuum attachment that comes with the machine is basically just a clip-on, and not a real electrified, spinning carpet attachment.

Some people have complained about the noise, but I think it's loud (of course! it's a vacuum!) but nothing at all to be concerned with.

Be careful on the price. I got gouged. Don't pay more than $100 whether you buy online or in a store. It's a great product, but don't get (here comes a pun) suckered.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don¿t buy it - it doesn¿t work!
Loud machine with really lousy suction. You can vacuum the wooden floors but forget the thick carpets - it simply doesn't pick up a dirt. This vacuum is a waste of money.

1-0 out of 5 stars so loud my neighbors two houses over thought it was buzz saw
Incredibly loud machine. Which could mean good things in terms of its power, but the way it's built, the exhaust ends up blowing dust around where I'm trying to vacuum, which means you have to go over things twice and even three times, thus defeating the purpose of strong uptake. And the head is a joke: if it's not positioned exactly parallel to the floor, it won't pick everything up.

Finally, what lowers it from a two-star rating to a one-star rating: I haven't been able to find bags for this machine anywhere locally (I live in a large city, and K-Marts and Targets are close by too), nor does Amazon stock them. A real pain. This vacuum is a bust.

4-0 out of 5 stars My Might Might 2 just keeps on going
I bought my first Mighty Might eight years ago. I thought it would be perfect for a small apartment and I was right. It does everything it claims, and the bags are easy to find at Fred Meyer; Walmart; and all the other leading houseware stores. This is the second Eureka product I've bought and I am absolutly satisfied with their products. No, the floor attachment as mentioned in a previous review does not clean from the edges but isn't that what the crevise tool is for? I vacume both floor and carpet and then attach the crevise tool and do the baseboards and around furniture legs--no problem. If you have a small apartment and on a budget and storage space counts, buy this vacume! ... Read more

Youthful in appearance due to its transparent, tangerine-colored body, this vacuum from Eureka’s Mighty Mite line would make a great gift for the college graduate or new renter. Storage is no problem, since the canister is compact and lightweight, and all its tools store on board. This model’s 12-amp cyclonic system of operation creates superior suction for a vacuum its size, while the deluxe floor brush cleans both carpets and hardwoods. A crevice tool for corners and baseboards is included, as well as a combination tool, which features bristles on one side for dusting and a nozzle on the other for stairs and upholstery. With no bags required and a reusable dust cup filter, the vacuum is quick to clean and maintain. Eureka covers the vacuum with a one-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I can't say enough good things about this vaccuum!
I never thought I would want a canister vaccuum. My mother had one and the canister would fall over and it was a pain to drag around. But then my husband and I pulled up the rugs and put in hardwood floors and area rugs and it was a pain in the neck to have to dry mop the floor parts and what to use on the carpet? I bought an electric broom, carpet sweeper and a stick vac and none of them did an adequate job. So I read the helpful reviews on here and I got this vaccuum!

And I can not say enough good things about it. It doesn't fall over because the back wheels are huge, they move smoothly to follow you around. the cord is long. It is easy to switch from carpet to bare floor and it comes with a ton of attachments. It easily gets under dressers and into areas that you could never get an upright! You just pick up the hose and put it behind the furniture or lay it down and do under! You can easily do the couch cushions! I will NEVER go back to an upright.

And with this one there are no bags!! The filter is easy to clean! It picks up everything on the first swipe and gets deeply into the thick, plush area rug in our family room! And with two toddlers and two dogs, there are a lot of spills and messes and it works great! I can do my whole house with this one very lightweight, compact, easy to store vaccuum!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good power, so-so attachments
I bought this model to try out at home and to use at the local animal shelter where I clean out the cattery once each week. It's a decent vacuum and for the price is a good buy.

The power is good - strong enough to pick up evenly across the width of the floor tool while cutting a swath through dust, dirt, or cat litter. It does have trouble with larger objects - bits of kibble, in my case - but this seems down to the head design. If I take it off, the bare hose sucks up anything I've tried it on.

The tools that come with the machine are not the best designs I've seen. The smooth surface tool has a nice, wide head, but has wheels on it that seemed more of a nuisance than any real use. Relatively soon (I've had it about a month now) one of the wheels fell off and could not be popped back on. That aside, the tool works OK without wheels (hardly any difference) and does not scratch the floor, so it's still usable.

The machine also came with a very interesting-looking device for cleaning carpet, complete with a mechanism designed to spin a small brush. This worked for about five minutes, during which time it was quite effective on our berber rug. It then stopped working and I've been unable to make it work since.

The internal workings seem more robust; it's done a great job handling a lot of pet hair, cat litter, bits of food, heavy dirt, etc. For its size and weight (pleasantly light) it has great power, and I find the filter no real bother to clean. Like any bagless, you do need to be prepared to handle some mess when emptying the dust cup, but it's usually enough just to stick it in a plastic grocery bag and dump the dirt into the bag. Lots cheaper than cleaner bags and handy as well. I'm happy with it and for the price, it's a nice buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Trying this model since
had a mighty mite for 15 years and its still going. Reason
for purchasing this new model is that going to give the old
mite to a family member to use in there cars. So if the 3690
is anything like the old mite it will be a good vac.

It is confusing searching the net but when went to Eureka sites
some of the models in net are not listed. This led to believe
they were discontinued so again selected the 3690. All that
was listed were 3670, 3690, 3695.

Will follow up once this model arrives

4-0 out of 5 stars No spinduster
While the vacuum has lots of suction it is not too easy to use as the floor tool pulls off center. The spinduster was listed as an accessory so I ordered it. It does not work with this model Eureka. ... Read more

The Eureka Home Cleaning System vacuum combines the sturdystructure usually found in uprights with the versatility of acanister-style machine. A dual-motor system lets you choose betweenbare-floor cleaning (no brush-roll action) and carpet cleaning (withmotorized brush roll). The vacuum's highly maneuverable floor brushfeatures a 13-inch cleaning path, automatic height adjustment, and asmart nozzle design, which directs suction to the edges and corners. The canister, equipped with its own onboard tools and bag-changeindicator, is solidly built for easy tool access and simple bagchanging. The unit's micron filter even traps pollens, dust, andallergens as small as 5 microns in size. Some structural details onthis machine are especially handy, like the swiveling hose assembly andthe wraparound cord storage. 5-0 out of 5 stars Best Canister Vacuum Ever!!
Just received this vacuum today & it is the best I have ever used in 26 years. Absolutely beats out my central vacuum system!! Takes up ALL the dog hair, I cannot emphasize that enough. My rugs look great and so do the hard floors. Handles very easily, rolls itself along, you only need to guide it. Great price, quick shipment, I couldn't be happier.

5-0 out of 5 stars Eureka 6856D canister vacuum
Used by a cleaning service in the homes of executives and professionals, very fussy customers. Great power and easy to use. Have used 6800 series canisters for 8+ years, and will continue to do so.

3-0 out of 5 stars Power Cord not retractable
Its a very average unit that does not have a retractable power cord.

The Good
It does its job and is light to move around.

The Bad
The hose does get tangled up very easily much like a cheap garden hose. And again, NO RETRACTABLE POWER CORD.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Vacuum at this price
This vacuum compared with my old Eureka canister vacuum is much better. They both use the same filter bags (style V) but the size of this one is a little bit bigger and lighter.
Pros:
1. This vacuum has less sound.
2. The tool accessories are functional and are stored in the canister.
3. The canister is light and is convenient to carry around stairs and to clean blinds, etc.
4. This vacuum is convenient to use and has a very good suction for cleaning.
Cons:
1. The electric cord does not automatically retract.
This vacuum does a good job cleaning carpets and we are very satisfied. We would recommend it to all who are looking for this type of vacuum with this price range.
Note: The delivering/shipping time is very fast ... and it's free - I received this vacuum within three days. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Recomend this to all those who have hardwood floors
Received my Eureka 972A today. Was impressed as soon as I took it out of the box. The quality was more than I expected. Worked great on my floor and small rug. I was also pleased with the speed in which I got it. Two days!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars This is a powerful & convenient vacuum (for bare floors)
This vacuum is powerful (11 amps) & convenient (small & lightweight with a retractable power cord). It is fantastic on bare floors, which is why I bought it. At $60 (and no shipping) it was a great buy. If I had to change anything, I would make the power cord longer and the on-board tools larger. I would purchase this again in a heartbeat.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible product by Eureka!
I just got this today (not to mention, it took over 5 days to receive this with the Free Shipping). I was so excited cause it just looked really good. I tested it out in my little room on carpet, and I was so sad after only 2 minutes of testing it out. This thing doesn't have any suction at all for carpet. I'm not sure about other surfaces, but carpet is definitely not its forte. I just finished packing it up, and getting my refund back. I am sad to say that I've judged a book by it's cover, and I have made a bad purchase. I am also very upset that Amazon is not refunding me for the SHIPPING costs that I will incur after returning this. My reason for returning is obviously product dissatisfaction, but Amazon considers this to be the customer's fault, so we must pay for the Return shipping costs. Remember, this thing altogether with packaging weighs 18 lbs. I am super upset right now just writing this review. Just know that this is NOT good. Please don't get fooled like me. ... Read more

Delivering 1,080 watts (9 amps) of suction power, the 15-by-9-by-10-1/2-inchcanister weighs 11.7 pounds and follows on easy-rolling wheels as it's pulled around by a6-foot stretch hose extending to a nozzle that retracts its carpet/rug brush with a push of atoe-lever to clean bare floors. A button on the handle adjusts suction power so area rugsand curtains can be cleaned. A crevice tool connects for cleaning along baseboards andother tight places, and an upholstery tool cleans furniture and car seats. The 17-footpower cord automatically rewinds, and a micron filtration system reduces pollen and dustmites. 4-0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased
Great little vacuum. Quiet and quite powerful. Does a great job on hard wood floors. Seems to do a good job on carpet as well. Perfect for the older home with lots of hardwood and a little carpet. Would definately recomend.

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent for the money.
I got this at a fantastic price but don't expect too much. It's definitely cute looking but it is amazingly loud considering its poor-to-mediocre suction. The power cord is a little short too. I live in an apartment with hardwood floors and commercial-grade carpet so this unit meets my minimal vacuuming needs.

5-0 out of 5 stars it sucks! in a good way.
I love this vacuum. I was looking for something that could darn near suck the sheetrock out of the walls, and this is it. Cleaning (hardwood floors, curtains, corners, hard-to-reach places...) will never be the same.

5-0 out of 5 stars super suction in a small vacuum
This vacuum is amazing to be so small! I have hardwood floors and ceramic tile in parts of my home. It did not disappoint me with it's cleaning power. It cleans right up to the baseboards and in corners. It is lightweight and easy to work with-- which is what I was looking for. I have put my expensive Electrolux in storage and may not need it anymore. For the money, it is a steal!

5-0 out of 5 stars Eureka 3530a Canister Vacuum
I have always owned upright vacuums. We recently bought a home that only has hardwood floors and vinyl flooring. The upright was just not performing to suit my taste. So, I purchased the Eureka 3530A Canister Vacuum and cleaning has been made a breeze. It can get into all the corners, under all of my furniture, and it picks up all trash without having to go back over it several times ( I had to do that with my upright).

I have not tried this product on carpet.

However, I would highly recommend this product to anyone. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE it, best vacuum i've owned
i wanted the least expensive, most powerful HEPA filtered bag-using canister vaccuum i could find (i don't like bagless or uprights). i ordered this one from J&R and a few additional attachments plus some bags direclty from eureka. i bought it for the price, the power on the vaccuum, and the price of bags and replacement HEPA filters not being too onerous - for some vaccuums the HEPA replacements were ridiculously expensive.

i have been extremely please with the performance of this little vaccuum. it is VERY powerful; even when the bag is full it picks up very well. with the HEPA filter in place, the blow-out port in the back is covered so it does not disturb anything (such as papers) behind my path. it is reasonably light, easy to carry and set up. i use it on mostly hardwood floors, picking up cat hair, all our fabric upholstery, and some carpet - it does a bang-up job on everything. i also use it for dusting and sucking up kitty litter around the utility closet. i've had it now for over six months and would not trade it for any vaccuum i've owned before. it is a GREAT value and i would highly recommend it to anyone.

the only downside i would say is there is nowhere convenient to stow the attachments, and the power cord is not retractable. i would have really liked both these features. however, neither one is such a problem that they outweigh the benefits of power, ease of changing the bag (another great feature - the bags are extremely easy to swap out and have a flap so you can close them off before throw them out - no messy dust spillage), cost of components, easy of storage, weight, versatility - if i'm not being perfectly clear - i love this vaccuum! i just hope it's durable because i don't think it's made anymore and i don't ever want to replace it!

1-0 out of 5 stars LOUD and bags are impossible to find
I suppose the most relevant thing to say about this cleaner is that replacement bags for this vacuum are VERY difficult to find even online and are expensive as a result. I had to resort to an eBay auction, which was still cheaper than buying retail, but nonetheless worked out to $3/bag. There is no indicator to tell you how full the bag is, but the machine starts losing suction about half-way full, so if you want a good cleaning you've got to have a fresh bag.

The tools are laughable, particularly the brush: after trying it out on the upholstery, I realized that the debris wasn't making it into the vacuum itself. The tape roller was more effective than the upholstery tools. And it's not an ergonomic machine, either. Changing tools or pulling apart the tubes requires real strength, which makes this machine unsuitable for people with arthritic or impaired grips.

Neither is there a tidy way to store the cord (no brackets or other notches): you just end up winding it around the vacuum.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Dissatisfied!
The suction on this vacuum is terrible! If you only need it for
very light cleaning its usable but thats about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Useful in a big old house, too
This is probably the best general-purpose vacuum cleaner I've owned. I live in a large two-story house in the woods with several carpeted rooms and a lot of bare hardwood floor. The carpet needs occasional vacuuming with a heavy-duty upright, but the Mini-Mite takes care of everything else as well as quick once-over cleaning of the carpeted area; its floor tool is well designed to work on both types of surface. Previously I had a bagless Dirt Devil lightweight to use for quick cleaning, sucking up spiders and ladybugs, etc., but when you have pet hair to deal with you discover that the "labor-saving" bagless design is anything but--cleaning hair off the filter is a real chore. The Mini-Mite handles the pet hair fine, and is light enough so that the overhead jobs are easy. For large-area use you'll need an extension cord (yes, the manual says not to; use common sense and a good cord) or the optional extra hose. If you have high ceilings, invest in an extra plastic wand or two. This model doesn't come with a dusting tool or bare floor brush, but ones for larger Eurekas will fit, or you can order them from Eureka.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best apartment vacuum out there
This is just an awesome little vacuum. It's small, the bags are hard to find and the hose sometimes is extremely uncooperative but overall it's a great little vacuum. I live in an apartment with hardwood floors and it works great. If you are looking for just a low cost little vacuum this is the one. I can put up with only being able to get the bags on the Eureka website (they are really inexpensive) just so I don't have to try and empty out a container with cat fur and other funk into the garbage can.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little vacuum!
No, it isn't heavy duty, but it does what it does very well! It's a great little vacuum for getting in those little corners and crevices. For cobwebs and curtains, for small rugs and hardwood/vinyl floors. It's very lightweight and easy to use, it has great suction and is small and easy to store. It's also very affordable. You will have to order bags online or through the mail though, because NO ONE carries them. It's a must for anyone with an upright vacuum, we have a big heavy Kirby, which works good on the carpet, but boy is it cumbersome! And just try using the attachments! You have to turn it upside down and take half of it apart, not to mention the dust and mess. I can't live without my little Mighty Mite any more!

3-0 out of 5 stars Try finding a bag....
I bought this vacuum for my new apartment and it's been great. The biggest problem is finding bags for this model. I looked everywhere in Seattle and they were nowhere to be found. I went to the Eureka web site and you're able to order them there. Great for bare floors and it's small enough to store in a closet. ... Read more

Great for apartment dwellers, students, and seniors, thiscanister vacuum from Eureka provides versatile cleaning power in alightweight form. The canister itself weighs less than 10 pounds, soit's easy to lift, and the nozzle, while not burly enough forprofessional use, is comfortable to maneuver. Designed for both carpetsand bare floors, the vacuum also features a fully detachable hose forstairs and above-floor cleaning. A three-wheeled base makes thecanister tip-resistant, and an ample hatch simplifies bag changing. Thevacuum features both a motor filter, which can be rinsed clean, and amicron filter, which should be changed twice annually with average use.The toe-touch power button and the automatic cord retractor are bothnice, and the cord stays out until you push the machine's rewindbutton. Built with a comfortable carrying handle, the unit comes withthree spare dust bags, an extra length of hose, an upholsteryattachment, a mini crevice tool, and a dusting brush. --EmilyBedard ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Little Vac!
I was looking for a small, easily manueverable canister vac with a replaceable bag and retractable cord. This is it -- a great little vac! The extra length of hose was a super bonus, making it easy to clean a whole flight of stairs without moving the vac itself. The unit is lightweight and zips along behind you with little effort on your part. I was surprised by the power -- excellent suction. Two negatives, from my perspective: no onboard attachment storage (though the attachments themselves are better than average), and the floor brush (not being a beater-bar type) doesn't pull dirt from deep within pile carpeting, but it still does a very satisfactory job of getting surface dirt. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the quality of this vac for the price, and am ordering another as a gift.

1-0 out of 5 stars The worst vacuum I've ever owned
I bought this vacuum because I needed a vacuum that would
work on wood floors and carpet. I had a cheap little dirt
devil for 10 years that was still working before I bought
the twin light. I found many things wrong. First of all, you
need bags which I could not find in the stores so I had to order
it from the manufacturer. After using it a couple of times you
have to clean out a screen that builds up with dust. you can only
do this with your hands or a fork or knife. Very dirty. If you don't clean this out it will not have any suction. Within 3 months one of the wheels broke off. When you pull on the hose to
get the vacuum to move with you, sometimes the hose will come off
from the canister. Any I don't like that the attachment of the
floor doesn't have a brush on it to keep from scratching the floor and that the suction hole is very small compared to the size of the floor attachment. Needless to say, I would highly
recommend against the purchase of this vacuum.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bagless? Hardly!
Where did they get the idea this vacuum was bagless?! It's NOT.

Other than that tho, it seems OK.

1-0 out of 5 stars Advertised as a bagless vacuum but requires bags, beware!
The name of vacuum is misleading (Mighty Mite Bagless Twin). The vacuum does have bags. To someone who was looking for a bagless vacuum this is obviously unacceptable. The other major problem with the vacuum is that even though it is light, it is very hard to push along the floor. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A powerful beauty that needs more brains
This does a really good job of cleaning, but the designers seem to have overlooked ease of use when they came up with this pricey, albeit sleek-looking, machine. Detaching and re-attaching the motorized nozzle in order to use the bare floor brush (for hard-to-reach areas) and the other attachments is a true pain. Each part of the cleaning wand and the nozzle locks with a button, and pressing this button down in order to detach the various attachments will take the better part of your day, and have you cursing after a while. Further, the motor on the carpet cleaner dies out every so often because the connection on the hose gets loose -- you need to keep the arc of the hose steady so the carpet cleaner stays on, or fidget once in a while with the hose to get it at the right angle. I wished I had not fallen for the sales pitch so easily. It's a good idea to try assembling and disassembling the various components of this machine in the store before you spend the equivalent of a small fortune on it. Or maybe you have stronger fingers than I do, but I doubt it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Elegant, silent, powerful
This is a wonderful appliance. It has stylishly designed neo-modernist chassis, a wildly powerful motor, and excellent hepa features. If you are involved with someone who claims to have dust allergies and refuses to do housework, this is a perfect gift -- it will clear their sinuses while they are cleaning the house. But, needless to say, it makes cleaning so much fun, that you'll fight over the right to use it! ... Read more
