Very Cool Offer
I bought the Rev'n Chef awhile ago and think it's a killer piece of gear. Pullin the little zip cord to chop herbs and spices is a kick, and it works very well, too. Don't underestimate the one-handed convenience!
How many times are you holding your plate of food in one hand but still need two hands to grind pepper? Ok I guess, if I wasn't so hungry, I could take a second to put my plate down and grind with two hands, but really - which method are you going to appreciate when you are starving?

I first bought a Pepper Ball for myself to check the quality (good) and then one for my mom and sister as gifts. The Pepper Ball makes a great gift to which most people will figure out just how convenient it is after just a few uses.

I am not worrying about the Pepper Ball only lasting a few years. I've seen some pretty expensive grinders stop working after a few years and feel that because of the the low price of a Pepper Ball, lasting more than five years is a moot point.

lots of fun, but short on the pepper
I basically bought this because it looked really cool - and it is. It's fun to use, and cool because it's one-handed, but it doesn't put out a lot of pepper per squeeze. Definitely handy, though.

I really like this grinder!
This duel S&P grinder is a great tool for the kitchen. I just got it last week and have already used it quite a bit. It's easy to use and you can even get by with a one-handed grind which is helpful when you are seasoning raw meat or have one hand otherwise food covered. I'm actually going to be getting a couple others to pass along as gifts.

i love the dual-functionality
After ruining a set of separate salt and pepper grinders , I found this product and love it! Another review said it was awkward to use, but I disagree. After buying a second one for my parents, even my dad uses it with no mishaps!

A disappointment
Granted, grinding fresh cracked pepper or salt is not an exact science as far as "aiming" the finished product where you want it to go in (or on) a dish, but this is really awkward to use. Even after practice, I've found if I actually just want to salt and pepper one item on the plate, I have to steady the grinder with one hand while working the lever with the other. Good idea....with some work.
I agree with some of the other posts. It is a good idea, but not entirely foolproof. First, fresh garlic does not last forever - every week or so, toss out unused garlic, clean with at least some hot water, and re-fill with fresh cloves. Second, the comments about odor are correct. However, there are a couple ways to overcome this: One, wipe it off with a paper towel after every use. It only takes a second. Two, store it in a gallon-size ziploc bag in the fridge. It take no more effort and space to do this. If you want to go a step further, put a little baking soda in the bag. These are effortless solutions that take maybe 90% of odors. I also keep it in the egg compartment in the door (since, ironically, it is the worst place to store eggs) as an additional barrier and quick access.

For me, it does not take the place of freshly prepared garlic in nice dishes -- but it works very well for a quick addition of nearly-fresh garlic. I recommend it if you use garlic frequently, or would but for the trouble. If you buy the minced garlic in jars, you'll get your money back in a few months by using this and buy heads of garlic.

Good idea, bad invention
Now the idea behind this is really great, toss in some fresh garlic and you can have it at the ready to squeeze. The press itslef is of bad design. A girlfriend had one in her fridge, and everything smelled and tasted of garlic. Now I am a garlic fanantic, but so much as I love the taste of galic on my palate, I do not enjoy it in Sunny Delight. The fridge was overcoem with the smel, still smelled of garlic weeks later and the Sunny D as well as milk were tossed..

Easy and convenient
You can store a week's worth of garlic in this guy. I like it, but it can be a pain to find all the parts after you've taken it apart to clean it. Then again, I had the same problem with my other garlic presses.

We love it!
Very easy to grind, holds a lot of pepper, and well made. I should think that especially for an older person, or someone with carpal tunnel, or weak hands, this would be wonderful.

We are very happy with it, and I'd be happy to buy more. The only caveats of this thing are: it feels, while not cheaply made, not as sturdy as it could have been, and though ours is fine, ti's only six months old. I don't know how long it will really last - maybe five years? Also, while we love the capacity, that capacity comes at a price in terms of table real estate - it takes up a fair amount of room.

But it grinds peper into nice, largish chunks, to let the true pepperiness through, and I like it better than our wooden grinders. Great stuff!

ONE GRIND I DON'T MIND!
This nifty gadget allows me to grind salt with one hand as I cook. And, it's a fun addition to a dining table with its very contemporary rather whimseical design.

The handles that you grip are padded thus ergonomically friendly and enable gripping without slipping. A dial selector on the base of the salt ball provides options for coarseness of grind, and it comes equipped with a refull funnel. Plus, it comes filled with salt.
