Oustanding Kettle from DUALIT
I've had other DUALIT products before and had great experience with their quality. Decided to buy this cordless kettle.

It's awesome. Excellent Functions and looks quite elegant in the kitchen or the buffet table.

Everyone likes the look of the polished stainless steel. The lids have large, heatproof ball knobs with finger guards and are also fitted with heatproof handles and oversized non-drip spouts. The Axis Kettle can be placed on its base at any rotary angle, with easy to read, clear water levels on either side.

Toasts Great, Looks Good, Easy to Use
My friends will admit that toasters have been something of an obsession with me lately. I've bought and returned products from T-Fal, Cuisinart and Russell Hobbs, all for poor basic toasting function.

Finally, a toaster that works. Here are the key points:
* It makes consistently good toast, reasonably quickly, totally consistently. Toast is evenly browned on both sides. Think every toaster does this? Try the Cuisinart CPT-180.
* Its #8 (maximum) setting will go long enough to blacken even homemade bread during a single cycle (most toasters will require two cycles at max setting to make even dark brown toast). But it can also be set to toast lightly.
* The toasting lever raises bread high enough to give easy access to even very small pieces. Russell Hobbs' unit leaves you with burned fingers every morning.
* Controls are simple to use, feel very solid.
* The unit looks good, and its design takes up very little space. Black plastic ends are a little cheap looking, but not a big deal.

Excellent 'classic' kitchen scale
I used to use electronic kitchen scales exclusively. When my last one failed during a visit from my family, my mum suggested I get a 'good old fashioned scale' that 'wouldn't go wrong'! Well, I got this as I have prior experience with Dualit (they're great!) and I haven't looked back. It has a clean and compact design - taking up the same space on my counter as my old electronic scale - although this is far easier to use. The dial is large, clear and precise. English and metric units are both catered for with clear markings - black legends for English units and red for metric. The only 'control' is a small adjustment knob on top to zero the reading - which might be necessary if you happen to use a different bowl, for example.

The only minor complaint I have is that the round bowl is not the easiest thing to pour ingredients from - tipping a pound of flour into a bread-machine tin from this needs care to avoid spills. A bowl with a broad lip would have been better.

A great buy - and at the recently discounted price it's a veritable bargain too good to pass up. If only I didn't already have one... ... Read more

I like it but you might not
I've only had this thing for a day, but that is long enough (with this simple contraption) to come to some very obvious conclusions. First, you can't put regular thickness sliced bread in it (to make a sandwich); the slots of the regular Dualit toasters, which this fits, are not wide enough and you will get bread "oozing" out through the tines, which will make a mess and will contact the actual heating elements. Rather, you would need to either buy very thinly sliced bread (or Pita bread) or slice the bread yourself. You can put cheese in between the slices of bread or inside the piece of pita bread and it will work fine.

This is a pretty odd thing, all things considered, sort of like the British conception of a panini maker inside a toaster.

I sort of like it anyway, though. There are no instructions whatsoever, not even instructions about whether or not it can go in a dishwasher, for example.
