This 15-piece multi-functional set from Fagor's Commercial line answers the dueling needs for versatile cookware and maximum space efficiency. Designed for compact storage, the set includes multiple pieces suited to soups, sauces, and stir-fries. Lids that double as strainers are also included, as are plastic covers for chilling prepared dishes or storing leftovers. The pots all nest tidily, and the set altogether requires about a cubic foot of cupboard space. In part, this is thanks to the detachable pot handles--the set comes with two--that are interchangeable with every pan in the collection. Though detachable handles are often flimsy and disappointing, Fagor's are surprisingly strong, usable, and stable in action. They are the features that take this set from a smart idea to a truly functional asset for tight kitchens. Plus, with no handles in the way, the pots function well as serving containers and storage bowls.

Crafted from high-quality 18/10 stainless steel, the cookware features an attractive brushed exterior and mirror-finish interior. It conducts well, wears durably, and retains its looks. The frying pan also has a nonstick interior to reduce the need for fats and to ease washing up. Keep in mind that the lids in this set are not suitable for air-tight cooking--their built-in strainer holes release moisture and heat throughout the cooking process. This Spanish vendor has crafted the set with beautiful European design sensibilities while still creating functional cookware. The main component of the set is an 8-1/2-inch sauté pan with high 2-1/4-inch sides that, on its own, browns a pair of chicken breasts or sautés a pound of shrimp. A steamer with 3-1/2-inch sides fits within the bottom of the pan for steaming asparagus, carrots, or other vegetables. As an alternative, an egg poacher insert with four egg cups fits into the sauté pan to produce perfectly shaped poached eggs for Eggs Benedict. The removable egg cups have easy-to-grip handles to lift them out of the insert and a nonstick coating for gently sliding poached eggs right on top of each bacon-covered English muffin. Works great on my 6-Quart Duo, BUT......
I happened to purchas Fagor Multirapid Plus 10-Quart not long ago. When I bought this lid, I thought it would work on both of my 6-Quart and 10-Quart pressure cookers since it stated " Fits ALL Fagor pressure cookers" under "Features". It turned out that it did not fit the 10-Quart. The lid just dropped to the bottom of my 10-Quart pressure cooker. This is a great item to own if you have 6-Quart or less pressure cooker. If you have 10-Quart pressure cooker, you are looking at the wrong lid. It's too small for the 10-Quart, therefore it does not fit ALL Fagor pressure cookers. Versatile Pan & Great Quality for the Price!!!!
Although I must admit I was tempted to buy one of the other super expensive brands. I took a chance with Fagor on this pan. I've owned one of their pressure cookers for over 10 years and have nothing but great things to say about it! Similarly, I found this pan to be excellent. It's great for making breakfast, lunch and dinner. (not just for paella!) It has a nice wide flat nonstick surface and the handles don't get burning hot when its on the stove..you can even bake with it in the oven.....believe me, its a {deal} for this price!
