However, they've also traditionally been a bit intimidating, as you don't want to misinterpret the instructions and overcook your feast. Enter the Fagor Multirapid Plus, a 6-quart model that simplifies the process by making pressure-cooking as easy as pressing a button. This unit features a dual pressure system for added versatility, a pasta/steamer basket, and an included recipe book (Tastefully Under Pressure) and instruction manual.

With the Multirapid Plus, a whole chicken that normally takes 60 minutes will pressure-cook in 20 minutes. Broccoli, black beans, lobster, rice, and potatoes--all pressure-cook in half the time of traditional cooking or less. The pressure cooker, made of 18/10 stainless steel with an aluminum-clad bottom, works by sealing steam within its walls to create a heat well above boiling (approximately 250 degrees F). The resulting pressure, which can't escape due to the tight seal, keeps the temperature high and cooks the food rapidly. The cooker simultaneously holds flavors and nutrients inside, letting them stew rapidly along with the meats or vegetables. Unlike older models, the lid will not open until all the steam has dissipated and the pressure has been completely released. The cooker should be hand washed and dried and cleared of food particles. about Pressure Cooking
I am a first time user I want to point out a few things for people who is consider pressure cooking.
1. It may only need 1/3 of time of conventional cooking, but it takes time to build up pressure and also time to release pressure (fagor model has a release valve which can release pressure in a minute).
2. In conventional cooking you can control heat (high/medium/low) for different type of food. In pressure cooking you have no control; heat is adjust to maintain the desire pressure (15 psi / 8 psi) you set.
3. Certain food required constant stirring like pasta in conventional cooking; you would not be able to do that in pressure cooking.
4. Food maybe too tender (bones in soup maybe soft). A multi-pressure control would be recommended (such as the duo, multirapid plus models).
5. You cannot peep inside the pot like conventional cooking to see how well the food is done during middle of cooking.
Otherwise if you like pressure cooking, this is a good quality pressure cooker.

It includes everything in the picture
After some debate I bought this set, because it appeared to be a nice set. I was worried, though, because the "what's in the box" did not match the picture. I am happy to report that it does come with the small pot (teflon) that you can use with the pressure lid, glass lid, steamer basket and pasta basket. It is a great value.
