fantastic
Fiestaware items are objects of beauty that I have found to be virtually indestructible.I have them at my house, and I worked for an upscale wine bar and restaurant that used them for everything...any pretty plate that survives heavy restaurant use is great in my book!And what fantastic colors for food presentation...

GREAT INFORMAL SET
We bought these because they were on sale, and it's hard to find black.At the start, they were suppossed to be temporary.
Then we bought extra plates, because we'd fallen in love with them.Not only are they classy and match the decor, but these are tough.I'm a klutz, and these bowls bounce right off of the floor, nothing broken yet, and coming up to a year.
My only complaint is the small size of the cups, and I about never use the saucers, but that's a matter of taste, and there are other sets available.

I placed 2 different orders for a total of 55 place settings of fiestaware, spread across 10 different colors.The dishes look great. Everything arrived quickly without any hassles & nothing was broken.People who expect to match color off pictures from the web aren't doing their homework.Check colors at local stores & you'll know exactly what you'll be getting. The cobalt fiesta ware is beautiful!
After 13 years of dining from Corelle dinnerware (which was fine) my family is now enjoying the casual elegance of our new cobalt fiesta ware.The color is darker than the sample shown on this website.It's more of an indigo and is deep and rich in color and dimension.We hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

This is a great set of dishes!
Hi! We love these dishes. With each bonus from each quarter, I have been treating myself to a new color of the 4-piece sets. Previously, I had a "starter" set from Target that lasted 10 years. I wanted something fun that didn't cost a fortune for 4-5 pieces. Everything else I liked cost $45-$75 per setting.

My two kiddos love to choose the color of dinnerware to eat from.When I have guests over, we serve just about anything with this set, mixing and matching colors to make it fun. I truly have people arguing over what color they are sitting down to at the table! These are reasonable, intelligent adults...hence the mixing and matching.
Interestingly enough, people (and kiddos) go for the lighter and brighter colors. I have the plum and cobalt blue, but they are rarely requested.

I have one of those plate racks over my sink, and these plates display beautifully. I get compliments every time. You'd think it was a decorating scheme instead of convenience!

The smaller sized plate is perfect for sandwiches and small portions of a regular meal. My kids love eating from them. The bowls are great for soup, ice cream, salad, pasta...you name it. They stack perfectly fine too.

I was worried about putting these dishes into the dishwasher and diminishing the beautiful colors, but that was for nothing.

Above all, my husband, who is usually tighter with money than I am is getting actively involved in ordering the colors, and getting excited about getting some of the non-essentials.

On a side note, we have already bought a tea-pot and a pitcher. His sister loved the tea-pot so much, we bought one for her birthday last year. It was one of the few things she brought with her when she moved to Europe. She has some of the original fiesta-ware that was passed down from her grandmother. These pieces are keepers, which I hope to pass on down to my children as well!

Fire Engine Red!
This is the most gorgeous color and it goes with all the other colors of fiesta so well.. It is a perfect gift idea to start someone off with a set of Fiesta.

Simple & solid.The food is the art instead of the plate.
Over time, I've come to appreciate simpler, less busy-looking dishes.I like letting the food be the art instead of the plate-pattern.My parents have had the yellow Fiestaware for at least 10 years.The yellow was discontinued in 2002, but the sunflower is close--a bit deeper and brighter while the yellow is more pastel.They are solid, sturdy, not prone to chipping or cracking, and I've been told they're forgiving when dropped.My parents' dishes still look as good as new.I've never noticed any knife scratches on the plates.(FWIW Most of the reviews complaining of this seem to be in the darker colors.)Just about all food looks good on this cheerful yellow plate, which of all the Fiestaware colors, is my favorite for serving food.However a friend has a wide variety of Fiestaware colors and I also enjoy being able to mix and match, and to select dishes according to my mood.

Tough stuff
I've owned fiestaware for over ten years and never get tired of looking at/using these pieces.

These are very durable - made to last.No worrying about chipping or breaking them - they are tough stuff!The only pieces that ever broke are the ones my parrot knocked off the top of his perch onto a cement floor - and some of them even withstood that!And the ones that broke usually broke into 2-3 solid chunks rather than shattering (okay, so I should've used plastic to feed the bird!).

They're not only durable but festive too.I own rose, seamist, and yellow (not sunflower) which look great together and give a great '50's style look (which I love in the kitchen).

Durable and fun.My only (slight) disappointment is that the color yellow tends to show utensil "scarring" in the form of grayish lines but I love the color so much it's a keeper anyway (and unfortunately tough to come by as the color has been discontinued.).The other colors I have don't have this tendency.

This is the kind of dinnerware that could easily last a lifetime.Even as my decorating tastes have changed since I first got Fiestaware (ten years ago) I think I'll always love seeing and using these pieces.

I love my Fiestaware!
Many years ago, I bought fine, expensive china...only to find that I worried constantly when I used it, and it really didn't go with most of my table linens. Plus I had to have the stoneware for when I didn't want to use the expensive stuff.

I got smart, got rid of all of it, and for the past 7 years, all I've had is my wonderful Fiestaware.

It looks GREAT, goes with ANYTHING, wears like iron, and there are all kinds of extra pieces whenever I want something special. Not only that, but there's a color for any mood I happen to be in (yes, I got mine in assorted colors).

The only downside I can see is that if the Fiestaware people keep issuing wonderful new colors every year, I will have a stack of dishes 10 feet high.

It's so incredibly cool that my daughter had to have the same thing when she got married (and anything that can overcome the uncoolness of what your mom had must be extraordinary, right?). ... Read more

Very durable and kid/family friendly
This is in addition to my previous review, which I said I couldn't get enough of this.I still give it 5 stars.Fiestaware is so durable--I swear it is unbreakable.I hope I don't jinx myself.Anyway, my 13-month old got a hold of the placemat and pulled it down, along with the dinner plate.I thought my heart was going to break, but amazingly nothing happened to the fiestaware, not even a nick.And we have porcelain tile floors, where if something drops on it, it's in pieces.This just tells you how durable Fiestaware it, and the whole family can enjoy using it.It is very worth it.

I have about a ton of FIESTA.I purchased this set because it's the "NEW" color.... and I just have to get all the new colors!Everyone especially likes this color in our house.... Great butter dish!
First of all, to those fellow purple lovers out there, this is a gorgeous shade of purple!It's the deep blue/red purple, not that new brownish raisin type that is prevalent.That said, this is a wonderful little butter dish.I've had mine for quite some time now and it's taken quite a beating from a toddler and still looks new.The knob on top makes it especially nice and easy to use.The bottom is large and rounded so that the butter doesn't fall off, but it's still small enough to fit in the butter compartment of your fridge.This is a great product and very pleasing to view as well.I mix mine with my Longaberger dishes too and it fits in beautifully.It washes up quite fine in the dishwasher as well (I use the top rack).

Practical as well as pretty
I've wanted a butter dish with a handle on the lid for a long time- somehow I tend to drop and break lids without a handle to grip, thus leaving myself with a collection of butter dish bottoms. I purchased this in tangerine and am really happy with it. Not too cutesy, but colorful and practical. I'm trying to figure out how to justify a few more colors...

Better Butter Dish
Fiestaware ROCKS.A few years back, I started my Fiestaware collection. The butter dish, in turquoise, was a recent addition.I like the vibrant colors available which allow for a cheerful, eclectic mix or a more coordinated theme. It is of the highest quality and very durable in the oven as well.I am going to put glass doors on my cabinets to showcase my Fiestaware because not only is it practical and beautiful, they are individual pieces of art!

Almost!
Really great butter dish, but in the Seattle area it seems like most of the butter in the grocery stores aren't the long sticks, but instead are shorter and wider, like a squished-square shape. When I put one of these sticks in the butter dish, the top of the butter gets squished onto the inside of the top of the dish. Though I have found the long, "normal" sticks of butter here, they're not very common. Maybe I should move back to the east coast so my butter will fit in my nice butter dish :P

Easy to handle and easy on the eyes
The flat sides give this an elegant Zen or Scandinavian feel and look. Use mine weekly for both water, since we drink a lot of water, as well as French lemonade (has fresh Lavender), as well as to serve KoBo beverages. Hold beverages and keeps them cool or cold depending on what you want. The pitcher holds enough for 4 tall glasses of lemonade or six smaller glasses of fresh made orange juice.

These Pedestal Bowls Are Awesome!
As a collector, I bought 6 of these Plum Pedestal Bowls about a year ago. They were ridiculously cheap, too good of a price to pass up. They all came in their original boxes, glaze color on all was beautiful and even. Perfect Examples, all 6 of them. Sometimes the glazing is not good, as in the review above, the item should be returned if the buyer is not happy. These make excellent fruit bowls for the counter, or even serving bowls for meals. You cannot beat the free shipping from Amazon! Highly recommend ordering from them, they can't be beat! Thanks Amazon!

A Great Everything Bowl!!
I love this bowl! It's the first bowl that I reach for when I am preparing something in the kitchen.It looks great and is big enough to serve dips, salads, etc in.It was my first Fiestaware piece and I am hooked.The collection has been growing steadily ever since :) Very easy to clean and quite durable, No chips or scratches yet and I am not the most careful cook. A great piece at an incredible price!

Great Item...
Fiestaware is great anyway, but this piece is wonderful.I use it for late night salads.Plenty of room for the "Big Salad".And if you want, a great bowl for chips at parties, or on football days like Saturday and Sunday.A big roomy bowl that Jethro Bodine would have loved.Be creative and put what you want in there.The color is electric, and goes great with alot of things.

Sturdy but ugly
The color on this is uneven and very dark its suposed to be cobalt, but is black to indigo.Don't be fooled by the picture, this bowl is very dark there is none of the vibrancy seen in the picture, except where the glaze is thin on the outside in odd ridges, there the color is closer to a pale indigo. This creates an unatractive stripping that looks cheap. But there is very little blue or cobalt color to this bowl.
