Once you try it you will love it.Just try it!
The George Foreman grill is one of those items you see it yard sales per $10-$15 used maybe once. It's one of those items that people think is a hoax-a hack, but amazingly it's one of those items that works. The fact that you can get a brand new one for $15 is amazing. Sometimes you can even get a brand new one on Amazon for 10 that's crazy go nuts!

It is my recommendation by one of these grills and make grilled cheese. It's amazing, done in less than seven minutes, or try a frozen chicken breast from frozen to juicy and done in less than 10 minutes. Perfect for bachelors or moms with bachelors in training or moms married to bachelors. You get the point.

So give it a shot perfect in what it does. I liked it so much upgrade to a larger size (know I didn't buy the company), and I use it everyday.

And yes I do know that he has six children named George crazy go nuts

The grill cooks too cool to char.
This grill (I actually own the larger size of the same), is a poor cooker.Heat off the bottom half is too cool to char (think black lines, not tan lines), and heat off the top and bottom halves helps cook your food through.

Imagine cooking a slice of bell pepper, or for that matter, a hamburger patty, on the grill.When you're done, you have light or no searing on the bottom, but your bell pepper's soft, and the hamburger patty is cooked through.You might have light searing on the top, if whatever you're cooking was thick enough to touch the top.But whether or not your food is thick enough, radiant heat from the top will cook it.

Overall, this grill is a poor choice.If you want to drain fat from your food, consider pouring the fat out of the frypan when you're done on the stove.Don't waste your money on this grill or any other.On the other hand, if you want to cook a pancake, you could probably use this grill to good effect.

There are too many great things to say about this little device: It's affordable to anybody, even if you are a student stuck living at school. It's compact, you can store it anywhere--a closet, your car, your office, the kitchen cabinet. It's powerful--I have plugged it in and in just minutes began working on an entire three course meal for six people with only this unit to work with. It's easy to clean--this is one of the few products out there that is every bit as easy to clean as the commercials show it to be on TV. It's is economical, using very little electricity to do a just that would waste electricity in a conventional oven or even an older model microwave oven. It's versatile--I have cooked everything from thin pieces of tempeh strips to thick steaks and it cooks both to perfection. You never would have been able to convince me to buy anything on TV before (and most certainly not from a former boxing champion...) but since a friend both this grill for me I have thanked them time and again (and in turn bought the same gift for many a friend of my own).

Hard to clean.... The food smells stay in appliance
I like the way the grill cooks the food and I like how the food tastes, but....... if you cook fish (or any food for that matter) the smell stays in it until you cook something else.It's a hassle to clean.It should have removable grills.These are the reasons it only got two stars from me.Also........ if I was going to buy this again, I would buy the bigger one.It's very good for one person though.Buy it with the idea that you are going to need at least 10 to 15 minutes to clean it the correct way!

Great gift -- for yourself, or someone else
I received this combo as a Christmas gift, and I guess I was skeptical. But after using both parts of the combo several times, I'm sold.

I've always enjoyed the George Foreman grills. When it's too cold out to use a proper BBQ, or you just don't want to take the time, a GF grill is just the ticket. Easy to use, easy to clean, and with its long-lasting non-stick surface, you'll be enjoying it for a long time to come. The jumbo model included with this combo is big enough for the whole family, or allows you to make extra ahead for lunch the next day.

But the real gem is the rotisserie, and is where I was most surprised. If you enjoy whole roast chicken from one of the restaurant chains or your local grocery, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you're able to make it at home -- with the added benefit of controlling everything that goes into it. Simple recipes accompany the appliance, and the results are just delicious.

The rotisserie comes with skewers for ka-bobs, or a basket for smaller foods like chicken legs or a small roast.

Definitely one of my favorite gifts this past season, it gets a big thumb's up.

Don't pass this up just because you can't see a picture. You can look them up separately to see the picts. and get the info. You'll also get sticker shock at the same time. This is a STEAL!!!

I just received my grill & rotisserie today so I haven't used them yet. I had a smaller Foreman grill and this one is about double the size! The rotisserie looks great too. I'm sure I'll love the rotisserie as much as I will the grill. Since I had the smaller grill I can speak from experience about how great they are! Makes fixing dinner a whole lot easier since my husband was put on a low-fat diet by his doctor.

Can't beat it
You can't beat this deal if you could! The baby rotisserie alone goes for $60 and the Jumbo grill goes for $75 alone. I have the mini George Foreman grill and I live by it. I can't wait until I use the rotisserie.

Calling this cooking machine a grill is misleading, because it can do almost everything except bake a cake. Depending on the attachments used (and the way they're attached), it transforms from a grill to a steamer-infuser to a roaster to a wok. A Gift the Entire Family Enjoys!
I purchased the 5 Star grill as a Christmas present for my husband. He had admired the "other" grills, but once I discovered this one at Amazon, I knew I had to try it. We have used it on numerous occasions since Christmas and have been more than satisfied. We thought at his first attempt at chicken he was preparing too much. It was so delicious we didn't even have leftovers! Only one problem. Wish more recipes came with it. That would give a better indication as to time to allow to cook something.

Great Electric Grill
I used to grill outside on a portable gas grill and a large gas grill. Both were just too hot to grill fatty chicken like leg quarters, unless the heat was put on very low. That is OK unless there is any kind of breeze to blow out the fire. This grill solved that problem. I can now grill fatty meats without the burn off bonfire I used to get after grilling pork and chicken. I also don't have to worry about the fire getting blown out. I also get to leave this grill under the covered porch. The gas grills would smoke up the covered porch very badly.

My family has enjoyed all kinds of meat grilled on this grill. I have never even used the recipes that came with it. The variable temp makes it so I can grill ANYTHING; I just have to proceed with caution and figure out the temp that works best with the type of meat I am cooking.

Clean up is a pain, but it is worth it to have such great grilling. I used to have to boil any chicken with the skin on it, but now I just use this grill and let the fat drain off. It is worth the price. I would recommend it for someone who has some grilling/cooking experience, though, as few recipes leave a lot of experimentation in order. I've not burned anything yet; on the contrary, my family has enjoyed everything I have cooked on this appliance.

Worthwhile kitchen addition
Having enjoyed the classic "lean mean grilling machines" to prepare burgers and chops for a few years,I was curious to see if the new 5 Star grill would help in my new (and very small) kitchen environment. The verdict? It's fabulous! Having very good temp control (to 450 degrees), 4 distinct direct grilling surfaces, steaming, woking, and roasting capability, this gem will get lots of use in an active kitchen. Cook burgers and steak for 6 without touching the grease pan. Clean up is quick and easy. It is not for a couch bound chef, as you do have to turn your burgers, steaks, etc., as with any true grill, and the results are great. It really is one of the few products that will work with your imagination. The only minor negative is that the manual is short and to the point. It tells how and why, offers a few good suggestions, and you are on your own. Lastly, I think that the person who wrote that the grill had a hard time cooking a steak misunderstood, and tried to grill the steak on the steaming rack included in the package. My first steak was well striped, and grilled to perfection.

Worst cooking tool ever
I bought this because of the five-star reviews. It comes with four recipes: three for fish, one for pork chops. Nothing about chicken or beef. The pork chop recipe says you can cook 1 1/2-inch thick pork chops in 14 minutes at 325. So I thought I could cook a one-inch steak at the same temperature for a similar amount of time. It takes me 20 minutes using the broiler in the oven. Well, after thirty minutes, I had a steak that was burned black on the outside and only 90 degrees Fahrenheit on the inside -- in other words, raw -- not even body temperature. So there went several dollars into the trash bin. Now about the clean up. They say it's immersible except for the heating element. However, you will need to use your bathtub or an industrial size sink to immerse it. Failing that, you will need a small brush such as a tooth brush and a lot of TIME to clean the grill. And you will need to waste a lot of water. I ended up with water all over the counters, the floor, and myself. Someone claims to have cooked a whole chicken. I find that impossible to believe, unless it was a very tiny chicken. As a long time cook with a kitchen full of appliances and tools, I am appalled that this useless and expensive item made it to the marketplace.

Five Star Grill Great
I received a Five Star Grill for Christmas and I just love it. Everything I have cooked so far has been juicy and delicious. I cooked a whole chicken on the grill, rubbing the skin first with spices. I turned the chicken two or three times while cooking and it sealed in the juices. My husband said it was the best he had ever tasted. I look forward to experimenting with other recipies. A good little cooker
This is what I'd call a good starter rotisserie. It's easy to use, with clear instructions, but has some drawbacks:
1) The directions for cooking usually are for the maximum amounts. For example, directions are provided for cooking 4 hamburgers, but not 1 or 2. The same with steaks or cornish hens. The instructions only include directions for the maximum the unit can hold. This means some experimentation if your're single or don't entertain a lot.
2) The unit cooks chickens great, but some experience has to be gleened along the way in how to properly tie the bird's wings and legs, or else they rub against the heating element or impede the rotisserie.
3) Cleaning is generaly not a problem, with the exception of the roll-up window. How Salton thinks we can clean the entire glass surface is beyond me.

cooks well
It cooks well but it's a little messy. It also is hard to grill chicken on b/c it doesn't reach all the spots.

I Love this thing!
I wasn't real excited at first about getting this grill. I'm really no good at an outdoor grill or broiler or even meat in a fry pan. But this thing is WONDERFUL! I can make my favorite boneless skinless chicken on this without burning it to a crisp or leaving it half done (yuck). My son can have his burgers and actually do it himself (he's 10).

We love this thing and since I've gotten it I've used it almost every night. No problems so far, and I've had this for a month and a half now. I wouldn't change a thing about it. There are only two of us so the size is perfect. I guess I wouldn't recommend this for someone who wants to grill more than 4 good sized 1/4 lb. burgers at one time. What a great thing this turned out to be for us.

Not well made
I'm giving this 2 stars because it works great for small and quick meals. However, after my third use, the lever to the warming lid broke off. Now it is secured with duct tape. Yucky. After the sixth use, the back of the unit, the white coated metal is now a burnt brown color. Makes me nervous that it gets hot enough to color the body so quickly! As with any appliance, do not leave unattended!

Excellent Buy
We've had it for a couple of weeks and it has cut our meal preparation time in half (at least). We had the best chicken ever tonight, juicy but well cooked. Despite what other reviewers claim, this unit is easy to clean, requiring no more than a few minutes with a damp sponge and a paper towel.
