Named for both its bronze color and for its power, this600-watt hand vacuum is compact, lightweight, and comes with a dusting brush, crevice brush, and 20-inch flexible hose. The tools can be attached directly to the vacuum or to the hose. The vacuum is only 9 inches long and weighs just 3.2 pounds. An adjustable shoulder strap is included so the vacuum can easily be carried around the house or garage if the attachments are being used with the hose. A 15-foot power cord gives plenty of reach for cleaning drapes or the interior of an SUV. The bagless vacuum employs a large cup with a filter to capture dust; both the cup and the filter can be washed. The vacuum carries aone-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for college students
I bought this vaccum while I was in college. I lived (and still do) in an apartment that was partially carpeted, but not enough to warrant buying a full-size vaccum. So I opted for this one because it is compact and inexpensive, albeit skeptical that it might not have enough power.

Not only were my fears allayed, but I was actually impressed. I've had it for a couple of years and it is more than adequate to clean the carpet (with no heavy soiling, of course). I even use it to clean in between furniture, to suck up the dust bunnies in my computer, and even to clean my car. The cable length is ample, it comes with many useful accessories, and it is so easy to clean out the dust compartment.

My only gripe is that it is extremely loud. If you live in an apartment, I definitely would advise not to use it after-hours.

4-0 out of 5 stars great product
I bought this item because of the good review of the previous user, and she is right! I used this vacuum to clean my bathroom, kitchen, and stairs. It is very powerful and the surfaces have never looked this much better. Its dust-collected cup seems small, but it can hold a lot of stuff.

The minor flaw is that it is quite noisy and its cord seems to be shorter than I would like. But definitely it is worth the money and it does its job.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Great Price for a Good Little Machine
First, I am a fan of Eureka vaccums. The canister model I own is 14 years old and has always been a workhorse, so you can consider me prejudiced about this brand name and the review that follows.

I bought this little "baby" two months ago and I waited to review until I had used the machine a number of times. Having used several of the dustbusters over the years, I can compare. Yes, this Eureka has a cord--but it is a *very* long cord--so it is not limiting. It is a powerful vaccum which I do not find to be loud or high-pitched. It is for small jobs when lugging out the big machine is too much of a bother.

I just used it to clean the lint from the back of the dryer, which is in a small confined space and it has always been difficult to get the big vaccum back there. This little Eureka did a fabulous job getting all the stuck-together lint both deep inside the back of the dryer and around it: the floors and walls too!

The cup is easy to remove and clean, just rinse or spritz a little cleaner on it. It holds a surprising amount of "junk".
Yes, the machine can get "hot" but so do full size vacs; I do not consider that an issue. I have used it when vacuuming the ceiling--I now live in the southwest and the ceilings are a problem--and was very happy with the lightness of holding the vac while working and standing on a step ladder.

Downside: storing the long cord. I still haven't figured out how to wrap it or quite what to do with it yet. The extension hose is a useful attachment but the plastic could be a slightly better grade.

I bought this vac because the price was so low and decided to give it a try. I am very pleased that I did. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars How do I say this nicely...

I have been very patient with this product. I have had it for weeks, but waited to use it in different environments before 'judging' it. It makes a lot of noise like it's doing work, but when you look (even in direct contact with the rug) the dirt doesn't move. Air just blows out the sides. I feel like I really wasted my money. I'm told it can't be returned, and that just upsets me.

I bought it primarily for use in my car. Before I got around to my car, I tried it on my rug/carpet - even hard surfaces. I still have to go over with my upright vacuum, hence, it's of no use to me. I have it permanently plugged into the wall behind a chair in my dining area. I'm going to have to move it, because when I see it I get upset.

I finally tried it in my car last weekend, I ended up literally picking up after it. Yes, I cleaned my car by hand. Picked up all the little pieces by hand, which was about 90% of the dirt that was there before I vacuumed. A brush and dust pan will do MUCH MUCH more than this product does. Anybody want to guess how much a brush and dust pan will cost them as opposed to this?

At that price, I wasn't expecting a powerhouse. I just needed something decent to keep my car looking alright, and get into little corners my upright can't. But to have virtually no sucking power, be it $5 or $25 - it's a waste. I'm really, really disappointed. I'll give it one star - for turning on and coming with its own charger.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT ALL IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite!
I went through 3 Dustbusters before getting this one, and it has lasted way longer than any other hand vac I've ever owned. The long nozzle is a nice touch for under the kitchen cabinets, sand in the corners of the stroller seat, and for vaccuuming my kids' belly buttons, which they clamor for every time I turn the thing on. Easy to clean, and a good price-- you need one!

3-0 out of 5 stars Sufficient
This cordless vac is used to vacuum the interior of my
car, mostly, and it works fine for that, plus for little
jobs around the house. The built in crevice tool is a
creative touch.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of value at a great price
You know the sage advice? "Don't buy your wife cleaning equipment." Well, perhaps that isn't true with a "neat freak". I've bought my overly-neat but lovely wife jewlery, trips, clothes, flowers, etc., but I don't think I've ever been "praised" more than for getting her this little handheld vacuum. Literally everytime she uses it she says to me "I love this, thanks again honey". Well, we just bought a two story house and now she wants another one (one for each floor) which is why I'm here.
Enjoy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars How can cleaning be fun???
Let's face facts, folks. I'm a 29 year old bachelor. I hate cleaning. I do it only when it becomes absolutely necessary, which usually happens when I'm waist deep in clutter and mess. Wherever the cleaning bug gene is that runs in most families, it made absolutely certain to skip me.

I had to clean my house before selling it recently, and I had to do the unthinkable. Yup, I had to actually exert myself in that one activity I hate more than anything else. And that'd be cleaning. Downcast and sullen, I labored through the task at hand with as much gusto as I could gather, but it wasn't until my folks, who were helping me in my endeavours, pulled out this wondrous device that the experience actually became good.

Pour water in it, plug it in and let it heat up. After some minutes pass, press the trigger and the hand steamer exerts a jet of high-powered steam that will remove any stain. Yes, any stain. I was so impressed with the demos my Mom was showing me that I had to try myself on the grunge on the kitchen floor. After a few sweeps I had to try on something else. So the front of my refrigerator became my next victim. After that I was looking around for something else...anything else. And as I began this on the dryer in the laundry room I realized that I was actually *enjoying* the experience.

This thing gets into cracks and crevices that noone could ever dream of getting to before, cleans them, and as a bonus sterilizes them completely. My bathroom is in cleaner, better shape now then it was when I first got the house!

There's several different attachments that you can put on the nozzle to make the steam come out at different angles, and others that can allow you to steam clean mirrors or flat surfaces. It is beyond easy to operate and is perversely enjoyable, even for a self proclaimed couch-potato such as myself. I recommend this for anyone wanting to get stains or dirt off of surfaces that nothing short of molecular acid and a brillo pad will remove. But don't be surprised if your husband/fiance'/boyfriend eventually steals it from you to do the task themselves. You might even see them smile as they work!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great For Cleaning Carpeted Stairs!
I absolutely love this steamer for cleaning the several sets of carpeted stairs I have, for the pitter patter of four sets of energetic Labrador feet can muddy up even a stain-resistant commercial carpet over a few weeks time, especially during mud season up here in rural New Hampshire. So, while a handy-vac or a wist-broom is okay for day to dirt, but I have to whip this baby out every month or so to grind off the ground in dirt. This small and lightweight Hotshot handheld steamer made by Eureka gives me the steaming power I need to do the job quickly, easily, and with minimum fuss. Of course, one can use it for a variety of purposes, such as cleaning upholstery, sealed grout, bathroom tile, kitchen tile, stovetops, stove exhaust filters, windows, and mirrors. It can even be used to steam wrinkles from clothing or draperies. It is supposedly also great for degreasing, and will snuff out mites, salmonella, and other microorganisms, so it is a good hygiene agent, as well. The accessories include a flexible extension hose, a straight nozzle, a scrub brush, an angled nozzle, a fabric tool, a window cleaner, a measuring cup, and a funnel. As I said before, it is easy to use, lightweight, and comfortable to hold. Enjoy!

3-0 out of 5 stars Not so hot HotShot
I liked the idea of steam cleaning to eliminate bacteria and other germs but it seems to shoot water all over the place. It also doesn't remove dirt or grime from tile or vinyl. The window squeegee doesn't really work either; it just pushes the dirt around. Basically,it is good for sterilizing areas without the use of chemicals but you do have to use chemicals to remove stains and a sponge to wipe up the excess water.

The Hot Shot Steamer is the best cleaner on the earth. Especially for the bathroom. The hairspray builds up on the vinyl floor and is very hard to remove, but the Hot Shot removes it with ease. And best of all, there's no chemicals...just add water and go.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great idea, not so great results
Good product for cleaning not so tough stains. Not so great in the bathroom. May be useful for killing bacteria, no way to tell. Pretty much a disappointing product. ... Read more
