Traditional vacuums handle dust and dirt, but some spots and stains call for more rigorous measures. The Bissell Spotlifter Powerbrush deep cleaner targets just such problems with powerful rotating brushes and a tank of cleaning solution. During operation, continuous suction ensures that surfaces don’t get too wet and that dirt and stains are sucked up quickly and efficiently. The machine includes a manual spray trigger, so you can decide how much solution to use depending on the surface and the damage.

The Spotlifter is a fairly maneuverable appliance--about the same to handle as the average large hand vacuum. Filling and emptying the separate clean and dirty water tanks is notably simple--they just slide off the back end of the machine one at a time. The brush roll cartridge is also removable for easy upkeep or replacement of the brushes. The cleaner comes with an 8-ounce starter bottle of Little Green Cleaning Solution. Bissell also includes a circuit interrupting safety device and a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars I can't imagine anything more useless.
I don't expect much from a handheld but this was ridiculous. A spray bottle of solution would be much easier to use and *anything* would get the solution out better.
I used it to try to clean up and orange juice spill and both the juice and the solution are still there. I am going to take it back, and clean up with a damp rag. If you are thinking of buying one, you might as well spend the price on wash cloths instead.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gets out spots from 3 cats and a dog
Once you learn how to use it, this product is pretty amazing. I use it on a biweekly basis to get rid of kitties little furball presents. Also gets up dog pee and poo. The secret is to use a good carpet spot cleaning solution and to learn how to alternate between putting the brushes down to lather the cleaner and putting the vacuum down to suck up the solution. I used to use a little green machine but could get that to work at all.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as all the reviews say!
I bought this Bissell Spotlifter a few weeks ago. I chose this one because I only needed it for the occassional pet stain or baby food spill. It works great for me! I immediately put it to work and it got stains out that had been in my carpet for months! I do see how people could complain some about the suction but I think it gets most of the dirty water up fine. It took me a while to decide between this one and the more expensive "Little Green" and I think I made the right decision. I'm sure the other one is better, but it's also almost as expensive as an upright and this one gets the job done just fine. This is a good little cleaner for the money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy It
I bought the Bissell Spotlifter Powerbrush and had the same problems mentioned in other reviews. It is a very poorly designed product with almost no suction and poor spray. I contacted Bissell and they sent me another one that doesn't work either.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not WASTE your money!
I feel bad about giving this review, but I must. This is the worst machine ever created. Let me say that I think Bissell has excellent quality machines (Little Green) but this is not one of them.

First of all, this machine has absolutely NO suction to it whatsoever. I managed to trigger out around a cup full of solution, and the spotlifter only 'sucked' 1/4 of it back up. My carpet was soaking wet. I had to lug out my Hoover Steamvac to suck up the rest of the water. Naturally, I thought I had a faulty spotlifter, so I exchanged it for another one. I got the SAME thing, a spotlifter without suction.

Secondly, the trigger mechanism is horrid. Instead of it releasing a steady stream of liquid, it is spray oriented, where you must continuously spray it like a spray bottle. That becomes extremely tiresome, and it actually hurts your hands, as when you 'try' to suction the liquid, you have to tilt the machine forward and it is very cumbersome and large.

All in all, I hated this machine. It was clunky and did not clean anything. It is horrifyingly loud for no reason. The rotating brushes actually mat the carpet to the floor. This is a very bad buy. If you are looking for something that is easy to use for those quick stains, buy the 'Little Green Clean Machine'. It is wonderful and has amazing suction. You actually get what you pay for. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the small stuff
We bought this the day after we brought a new puppy home and it paid for itself within a week. The battery issue: you get about 10-15 solid minutes before needing to recharge. We've owned it for 7 months now, using it for small stuff, and we've only run out of juice once while cleaning a spill that covered a 1' X 12' area. HOWEVER, I cannot stress how much work this thing has saved us. It has removed difficult stains within minutes: tea spills, orange food coloring stain left behind from a dog treats, puppy accidents... What it comes down to: you get what you pay for. This is an effective, small carpet cleaner perfect for the small stuff. If you need to clean larger areas, then you need a larger unit. The spilling issue another reviewer called dangerous: if you turn the unit on it's nose, and/or the unit's dirty water reservoir is full (or past full), dirty fluid will come back out the way it came in. This can be solved by, well, not turning the unit on its nose and emptying the unit everytime you go to refill the clean reservoir. The only time I experienced spillage was when I filled and used it 3 or 4 times before emptying the dirty reservoir. The fact is, if they put a larger dirty water reservoir, the thing would just get too heavy and pretty much defeat the whole purpose of being a light-weight, spot cleaner. 4 stars given for the lack of A/C adapter power option.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty powerful little machine
Charge doesn't last very long, which is ok since I only pull it out for spot cleaning (usually due to my dog having one of his can't hold down the food episodes). With one or two exceptions, it has been able to completely remove the stain before the battery died (even if the stain has been there a few weeks).

My major beef is that I lost the power cord and, apparently, the only place I can get a replacement is through Bissell. Once the shipping is added, I can put a few more dollars in and buy a brand new machine (which I'll probably wind up doing through Amazon).

3-0 out of 5 stars Not great for pets
The only thing we have used this for is to clean up "accidents" our small Toy Poodle has had. It seems to work ok, the suction could be a bit more powerful, but it is difficult to keep clean.

1-0 out of 5 stars unsafe battery
The nickle-cadium rechargeable battery pack wennt out with-in the first month of purchase. that's why I got on line to see if i could purchase another for a reasonable price. NO REPLACEABLE BATTERY PACK I guess i'm stuck for $29.99 plus tax the dealer won't do anything after 30 days.****CRAIG*****

4-0 out of 5 stars Glad to own it
My mom bought this for me as a gift and thought it would be useful since I have small, growing children and I'm glad to have received it. It really does the job it was intended to do and I'm really glad the cleaner you use with this unit is readily available at my local Walmart store. The only downside is the battery life doesn't last long so this unit is really only useful for small spots or spills. ... Read more

Tackle floors, furniture, cupboards, and closets with the versatile Bissell FeatherWeight vacuum. Designed for both floors and surfaces, the 1.2 amp machine converts from broom-style to handheld vacuum when you quick-release the handle. You can use it with or without the floor nozzle, which features a built-in brush to gently agitate surfaces. In its stick form, the vacuum offers a comfortable grip, a maneuverable structure, and a 9-inch cleaning path. It's ideal for bare floors and low-pile carpets. As a hand vacuum, the unit is light and easy to use, with a large handle and an 8-inch crevice tool for car seats and stairs. Built without a bag, the FeatherWeight collects dirt in an easy-to-empty cup that has a washable permanent filter inside it. Assembly and breakdown are straightforward: the handle and floor nozzle click in and out, the power switch is a sliding knob, and the dirt-cup release button is easy to depress. The FeatherWeight comes with a 16-foot power cord that wraps around the handle hooks for storage. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars This is a light-weight machine...
...and meant only for light-weight tasks. If you think of it as a very powerful, rechargeable-type vacuum, you won't be disappointed. Of course, as it's corded, it doesn't suffer from the limitations of those battery operated machines. However, it will work adequately well only on small areas of carpet (spot cleaning) or on hardwood, vinyl or tile floors.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best [$$] spent this year!!
This item was in my goldbox and I ordered it on a whim..I love it!! It's just what we needed with 2 kids under 2 and 2 long haired cats. It picks up cheerios and cat hair like a pro! It's easy to maneuver and picks up great along the edges of trim and under dishwasher, fridge and stove since it's so low. It's only so-so on carpet, but it will pick up lint and crumbs, if they're not deep into the pile.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Rainbow vacuum, but this is sooo much easier in a hurry and with kids around and half the house being linoleum or tile, that's what matters!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not a good vacuum for carpet
This vacuum sucks, but not very well. It doesn't pick up anything on our bad-quality apartment carpet. It's hard to push and messy to empty. We purchased it because it looked easy to store. However, our carpets are a mess and my husbands begging for a new vacuum.

5-0 out of 5 stars Champion Lightweight
This little machine works wonders on hardwood floors, ceramic tile floors and area rugs. It's also light enough to vacuum furniture. Easy to clean dust cup. Love it!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great product, not perfect
I love the vacumn enough to buy several for relatives for Christmas. The only problem I have found is that after owning it for a while, it tends to loose power very quickly. I called the company and they told me that the battery works much like a cell phone and that the best way to get it to work consistently well was to let the charge die out totally on occasion, and then to let it recharge fully. I have tried this and it was the solution to the problem.

5-0 out of 5 stars BUY ONE!
How did I ever live without a Bissell Go Vac? This is a great little sweeper. It's powerful, lightweight & goes places a big vac can't go. I love having a cordless vac that I can use with a handle or remove the handle and use as a hand held. Buy one. You won't be sorry you did.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great product!
I love my new Bissell 3300P Go Vac! This baby is a great product and you certainly can't beat the price- what a deal! This is identical as the Bissell 3300 Go Vac delux except it's purple.

It took me about three minutes to assemble it when it arrive and overnight to fully charge the battery. It can be converted to a hand vac easily, it's light weight and compact, a lot more powerful than I expected and certainly is easier to handle than my old dirt devil. It works beautifully to pick up the stuffs on my laminated floor, pergo, hardwood, not as great on tiles but acceptable. I still need my regular vacuum but my regular vacuum can not replace the ease of use this little thing has. ... Read more
