Amazon.com Review

Reminiscent of the banner this warrior saint carried, the flowing scrolls bordering the handles of Joan of Arc sterling silver flatware lend the pattern grace and solemnity. Each tip culminates in a modified fleur-de-lis design for a French flavor. International, a renowned silver company since 1898, first introduced Joan of Arc in 1940, and the pattern has been an American favorite ever since. This 4-piece set in dinner size, which is slightly larger than place size, contains a dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, and teaspoon.

Sterling silver actually increases its luster when used everyday, reducing the need for polishing. While safe for the dishwasher, hand-drying is recommended after the wash cycle in order to eliminate water spots. International covers this heirloom-quality flatware with a lifetime warranty. --Ann Bieri

Created by International Radius, this 6-piece martini set makes a fashionable addition to the home bar or the holiday stemware collection. The 6-ounce glasses feature four jewel tones--topaz, rose, pale green, and sapphire--that liven up cocktail hour in any season. They rest in C-shaped hooks while the 18-ounce, mirror-finish, stainless steel shaker nestles in a ring at the center. Gleaming with nickel plating, the circular carrier combines stability with flair for easy glamour at the table or graceful transport with one hand. Product Description

International Silver Misc Pewter Hollowware is a versatile pattern that will work with a wide range of decors. Other serving and accessory pieces may be available, complete (or start) your pattern today! International Silver started as a combination of 14 of America's greatest silver manufacturers. During the Colonial period, the predominant form of silverware was pewter. In 1847, Rogers Brothers introduced a line of "electroplated" silver pieces. The formula for producing a durable, plated flatware had taken many years to perfect. Meriden Britannia and Rogers Brothers, decided that it would be to the advantage of all to organize a cartel of silverware manufacturers and to share industry secrets and in 1898, 14 silver producers merged into one corporation. The merger of 1898 proved to be efficient and successful. But it wasn't until 1939-1940, when International Silver introduced the Joan of Arc and Prelude lines that the company's sales began to increase. In 1968, International Silver was absorbed into the Insilco holding company. In 1976, the making of sterling hollowware was completely discontinued and International Silver's plated hollowware division was sold to Onieda. Both Wallace and International are now owned by the Syratech corporation. ... Read more

Product Description

International Silver Liberty (Silverplate, 1895) is a versatile pattern that will work with a wide range of decors. Both Wallace and International are now owned by the Syratech corporation. ... Read more
