Amazon.com Review

Good old-fashioned fried food gets an update with theEuro-Pro electronic deep fryer. With the fryer's simple operation and user-friendly structure, you can cook donuts, vegetables, chicken, french fries, fish, and onion rings quickly and easily. Fitted with a submersed stainless-steel heating element and a digital control panel, the 1,700-watt fryer delivers precise control and crispy results. The immersed element gets oil hot quickly, so food cooks in less time and absorbs less fat. The fryer includes a view window for monitoring, and large stay-cool handles on the basket and lid for easy control. Clearly marked at the minimum and maximum fill lines, the reservoir holds 5 liters of oil, while the basket holds up to 2 pounds of food. Both are removable for dishwasher cleaning. The digital control panel features both temperature and time displays, with a heat range of 155 to 385 degrees F and a 15-minute timer. The panel also features a food temperature guide, ready light, power light, reset button, and power button. For safety, the appliance includes a breakaway detachable power cord that disconnects if pulled or tugged accidentally. Side handles on the body and a removable handle on the basket simplify transport and storage. Euro-Pro includes a one-year limited warranty. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Euro-Am
I have had several deep fryers over the years by different brands (Rival, Delonghi, Presto, etc.) and this fryer by far has some of the best features compared to the others. I love the fast frying time (1700 watt heater), the basket (some fryers omit this lovely item), the size (I can cook for the family in one basket), and the overall design makes me feel like I am getting resturant quality frying. The things that I do not like are the absences of a cool touch exterior (it gets really hot), that the cord has to be connected to the unit by magnets, the seemingly filmsy exterior (although it holds the frying unit wonderfully), the constant cleaning (stainless steel after all), and the large amount of oil I go though every month to refill it (it takes about a good 100 fluid ounces to fill and that is good for about 8-9 fry times). If you do not plan to use this fryer a lot, than I say buy it, but if you are, then I say move on and spend your money on a Delonghi.

1-0 out of 5 stars DEEP FRYER
I BOUGHT THIS DEEP FRYER FOR MY DAUGHTER AS A WEDDING PRESENT.
SHE PLUGGED IT IN, THE GREASE MELTED, IT TURNED OFF AND IT WONT GO BACK ON. I DONT UNDERSTAND. THIS WAS VERY BAD FOR ME AS IT WAS A WEDDING PRESENT, IT WAS GIFT WRAPPED, AND I THREW AWAY THE RECEIPT, NEVER DREAMING THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN. SOOOO I WOULD NOT ADVISE PEOPLE TO BUY IT.

1-0 out of 5 stars Quti in 45 Days
I had this unit for a whole 45 days before it made a loud popping noise and quit. I'm deeply dissatisfied with anything that fails so early. Wouldn't buy this unit again.

4-0 out of 5 stars So Far So Good
Fryer worked like a charm. Easy to use. Accurate temps and cook times. A breeze to clean and re-assemble. It's brand new and near perfect, so we're still honeymooning.Only suggestion is the gauge of outer cabinet stainless seems a bit flimsy but nonetheless provides good support for the oil container. I compared this Euro Pro unit (reviews and physical comparison) with another more recognizable name brand stainless fryer that did not offer as many features, i.e., digital thermo and timer controls, larger and deeper fry basket with oil container. The name brand competition also had mixed reviews so I figured if I am going to get fried, I'll do it for $40. less on price. Both units made in China. Could be the same producer. If honeymoon ends early I'll follow up with revised review.

1-0 out of 5 stars Piece of Junk
The product worked for about 6 weeks. Then one day, it started making this high pitched noise and the display became unreadable. Nothing we did would fix it. It ceased working. I have since learned that many have had similar experiences. I've heard that it's some problem with the wiring, and the company will fix it but you have to ship it to them and pay for the shipping (both there and back). This company also makes sewing machines and vacuums, but I would not buy any of their products. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice little oven...
Im replacing my reg. toaster oven and want to use this for the holidays as well. It baked cookies 6 minutes faster. The toast did work when I finally read the instruction booklet and put the temp. on 450 as well as "toast." It burned both sides, but that was my fault. Otherwise, it worked very well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Confection Toaster Oven
Oven works Great! Cooks evenly, quickly. I use it all the time, and you can cook things in her that you cannot cook in the toaster oven! I love it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Toaster/convection opinion/review
When I put my bread on the rack and turn the dials to "toast" and appropriate timing, the bread toasts on the top side only. If I put it on "grill" it will do a bit better, but now I am using the "bake" setting and turning the temperature up and finally getting bread toasted on both sides but it is quite hard from the convection drying it out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Bargain and Space Saver
We recently purchased this as a replacement for the old toaster oven in our very small apartment kitchen. It was a great value and works as well as something that you could pay two to three times its price. Meats come out wonderfully, it is easy to clean, the timer is a great option. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

This deep fryer handles every food from french fries to doughnuts while eliminating the mess that comes with stovetop frying. Constructed of heavy-duty stainless steel, the fryer has an extra-large 5-liter capacity so it can handle family-sized portions of fried chicken or falafel. A power switch and a thermostat that goes up to 375 degrees F are the only controls on the unit, making it simple to master. The professional 1,700-watt stainless-steel heating element is immersed in the oil so it can maintain high temperatures when food is placed into the fryer. The fryer’s thermostat coil is also immersed in oil so reducing the heat on the fryer’s thermostat produces an instant drop in the oil’s temperature. These dual thermostats make frying faster and safer since temperature controls are more reliable.

Other perks on this deep fryer include a lid with a viewing window to watch your food cook, a filter that absorbs oil and prevents it from splattering all over the kitchen, and a cord storage compartment for the detachable power cord. For added convenience, the filter, oil container, and frying basket with handle can all be cleaned in the dishwasher. 3-0 out of 5 stars Truly Great Value and a Great Fryer
I waited several weeks for this fryer to show up on my doorstop. In the meantime, I had to contend with managing my excitement with every Emeril live show. Have you watched Emeril? If so, you know that he uses a great looking fryer that is built into the countertop. It looks hot judging by the speed at which it cooks, and the great looking food that comes out of it. Anyway, I wanted to be able to do the same thing without the inconsistency and waste of using a pot or deep frying pan.

So, the Euro-Pro shows up today and gets an immediate wash and dry. I opened a fresh gallon of corn oil and dump it in; set the thermostat to 370 F, and while it heats quickly mix a New Orleans beignet batter (ok, I cheated and used the Cafe du Monde mix).

Since I'd never prepared this dough before, I wasn't sure about the consistency. I simply followed the un, deux, trois, instructions. After cutting squares out of the dough I dumped them into my fryer. Ten seconds later they were floating at the top waiting to be turned over. In about 90 seconds I lifted the basket out of the oil and hung it on the provided basket hook to drain. It seemed to me that not much oil needed to drip off so I transferred the hot beignet to a plate and sprinkled sugar over them.

Here's the proof: They were perfect! Truly. No oil saturation of the dough at all. Puffy, light, golden brown and cooked all the way through. In fact, it was hard to tell they'd even been in oil at all!

This fryer rocks! Don't waste your money on this tiny little plastic fryers. This is the real deal: Stainless steel, beautiful to look at and 100% professional in operation. Dual safety thermostats, truly consistent temperature and with its large and deep basket, there is plenty of room to cook 3 or 4 good sized pieces of chicken or 1.5lbs of potatoes for fries.

Clean-up is a cinch because it all comes apart (you can put it all in the dish washer including the filter).

My opinion is this: Its first rate quality, it looks great, and it works like a charm. Five Stars from me.

1-0 out of 5 stars FRYER JUNK

I WILL NEVER BUY EURO-PRO JUNK AGAIN. JHH

1-0 out of 5 stars Product never worked - and customer service STINKS!
I received the fryer, and immediately invited friends over for a "fry fest". The oil heated up, I placed food in and within 20 minutes, the oil was no longer hot. The control panel was lit, but the oil did not maintain the temperature and did not heat up. RUINED FOOD!! So instead of returning it, I called Euro Pro - they promised to send me a new control panel immediately. 8 weeks later I received it. The control panel was not the same one that was originally in the fryer, and the magnetic break away cord did not fit on the "new" unit sent. So I called back, and was promised the new cord would be shipped within 48 hours. I still do not have the cord (it is STILL on its way - 2 1/2 weeks later). The woman at Euro Pro was very rude to me, and refused to refund my money if I were to return it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING 3 MONTHS FOR THIS FRYER TO BE USED!

3-0 out of 5 stars Electronics Failure
The Euro-Pro fried excellently and the electronic panel was very easy to use. But after 3 months, the electronic panel failed and it rendered the fryer useless.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Short Lived
Unlike the reviewer from Lexington NC (Short Lived, July 9, 2003), the fryer I received did not take six months for the circuit breaker to start popping. It started with the very first use and did it again on each of the next two uses. Fortunately for me it was within the first week after receiving the unit and I returned it. ... Read more

This lightweight 300-watt hand mixer gives you the freedom to mix on the stovetop or in your own bowls. However, for hands-free mixing of dough or batter, it also attaches to its base to become a stand mixer. The hand mixer has three speed settings and a speed range selector of either low or high. The mixer also includes several stainless-steel attachments, including a wire whisk for beating egg whites or cream, two wire beaters for blending cake mixes, and two dough hooks for kneading bread and pastry doughs. An eject button easily removes the attachments for cleaning.

For stand-mixer use, the main mixer locks onto the included stand and blends in its own 2-quart glass bowl. A button behind the stand raises the arm so you can remove the bowl. The unit also has an automatic cord rewind button to retract the cord for storage. This hand mixer is covered by Euro-Pro under a 1-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

Fully automatic and precisely controlled by a timer, this machine takes the trouble and guesswork out of making ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, gelato, and frozen drinks at home. Ingredients go into the bowl, the timer is set, and about 50 minutes later one quart of a frozen confection is ready for consumption. Because the machine doesn't require its bowl to be frozen for hours in a refrigerator's freezer (like less expensive machines that only churn), it can begin making another batch almost immediately. --Fred Brack ... 1-0 out of 5 stars No go.
Based upon Amazon's good price, I thought I'd give this unit a try. Unfortunately, both the original unit and a replacement unit had the similar cooling noise problem as a couple of the other reviews had made note. Amazon was great about paying return shipping fees. I'm going to give the Lello / Simac machine a try next based upon its positive reviews.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dead on Arrival - Euro Pro Ice Cream Maker
Like two other reviewers, my unit had the loud buzzing of one of the fans presumably in charge of the cooling process. I was (rightly) concerned when I placed the order after reading the negative reviews, but I thought I'd give it a chance, with Amazon's great customer service backing me.

1-0 out of 5 stars I Scream
I got the machine, and laid it on its side overnight. Next day tried to run a batch of ice cream. Followed instructions, but the first sign of trouble was when the compressor suddenly got very loud (basically sound and noise level of a *loud* central air conditioner -- as heard from right next to it). The machine ran it's full 65 minute cycle, and no dice. I tried to run it through another cycle (after waiting a couple of minutes to turn the compressor back on as per instructions). Unfortunately, it forces you to wait 15 minutes to start the mixer. And even more unfoturnate, it still didn't cool my ice cream enough to freeze it (possibly partially related to the low fat recipe). I think the compressor must be of low quality.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is junk!
I waited nearly four months for this item and, finally, when it arrived the cooling system and motor did not work. I returned it and Amazon replaced it. The second one didn't work either. Not only that but it took three days to get through to the manufacturer and their customer support wasn't much help either.
Have returned the second one to Amazon and gone back to my old reliable Krups (pre-chill the bucket in the freezer) ice cream maker. It always works. Don't waste your money or your time with this piece of junk!

3-0 out of 5 stars Manufacturing problem
There is a construction or design problem with this ice cream maker. The plastic cooling fan (that blows across the compressors radiator fins) is not properly attached to the fan motor. The fan slips forward during operation, until it is 'grinding' on the radiator fins, making a loud noise (probably what the other reviewer heard). This could also prevent proper cooling, reducing the ice cream maker's effectiveness.

This is easily fixed (which I've done, think superglue) if you know your way around a tool box, but that's really not an acceptable solution. They use a couple of non-standard screws, which can be undone with a torx screw bit (even though there is a post in the middle of the screw). There are no warranty labels you have to rip either, so if you tried and failed, you could send it back.

Once fixed, it makes great ice cream. ... Read more

A powerful convection toaster oven, the 1,500-watt Bravetti Platinum Pro from Euro-Pro can do everything from warm croissants to grill a pork loin. The unit features a simple control panel with a power light and separate dials for temperature, function, and time. The temperature control ranges from 180 to 450 degrees F, while the function dial provides a choice of keep warm, broil, bake, toast, or grill. The 15-minute timer includes a printed toasting guide and comes with a stay-on option. The oven’s design incorporates thermostatic temperature control with lower and upper elements, for thorough and precise heating. The convection system--automatic on the broil, bake, and toast settings--gently circulates air in the oven for moister food, quicker cooking, and less energy consumption. Moderately roomy, the oven toasts six slices at a time and accommodates bakeware up to 9 inches long. Both cookie sheets can be used simultaneously. The oven features stainless-steel housing and a tempered safety-glass door, which is curved for better viewing. The interior is coated with aself-cleaning surface, and the stay-cool plastic handle is comfortable and wide. Accessories include a drip pan, two baking racks, a crumb tray, a rack handle, two cookie sheets, and a broiler rack. 1-0 out of 5 stars good idea bad execution
We got one of these Sunday (Oct. 10, 04). Returned it on the 12th.
Here is what we experienced. Following directions we unpacked and turned the unit on high to "burn it off". This resulted in copious quantities of smoke and unpleasant smells (like a machine shop). Thank heavens our range has a large exterior vented hood. We noticed too that the fan became increasingly noisy to the point of being annoying. Additionally the door began to bind and not close properly. When cooled the door was better but not right. This became progressively worse.
It did make decent toast but between the noise and the door I was concerned. We didn't bother to try much else in it other than some toaster strudel (which again cooked very well but noisily).
I did like the fact that it's heavy and the non skid feet are nice. Also the extra accessories (cookie sheets, pizza stone, etc.) were nice touches. I would have preferred no accessories and more quality in exchange.
A glaring safety fault was also discovered. When you open the door it does NOT shut off. I find this oversight unforgivable.
Overall it's a nicely sized and outfitted product that falls WAY short of expectation. But than it's cheap and made in China so I guess I should not have expected different.
A point of interest. Why is it SO hard to find a reasonable selection of reasonable quality products of this type anymore?! This site lists like 100 or so products of this type but just try and find any kind of reasonable selection at ANY store.
End of rant.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Oven
I love this oven. It makes great evenly toasted toast. I bake pies in it and they come out really nice in half the time without heating up the kitchen. Has a pizza board included and if you like the crust softer its excellent! It will also keep your food warm with the keep warm feature which I really like. Has simple easy to understand directions. Comes with 2 cookie sheets and the cookies come out great too. I highly recommend this oven.

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk!
Customer service is non-existent, HSN is unhelpful, as is the warranty company that HSN used for the extended warranty. My wife never uses it and I've used it about 5 times when suddenly the knob cracked and fell off. Contacting several customer service people from HSN, Europro (who never answers their calls), and the warranty company who will fight you for hours until you just say screw it were useless. No websites to help, no replacement parts available. HSN should be ashamed to sell junk like this. Buy something else!

1-0 out of 5 stars bad news
I got this device to speed up cooking time. but it has never done anything but give me trouble. customer service is never avalible. i would tell people to shop h.s.n for ULTREX for quality products.

4-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for...
I bought the Euro-Pro convection toaster oven because it was available and a lot less expensive than the competitors. I have never owned a convection oven before, and I find this one to be just a little faster for overall cooking than prior toaster-ovens. I like it for its ease of use, multiple cooking surfaces and ease of cleaning. The 15 minute limit for timed cooking is too low for many items but I work around that. Toast takes too long, but I have a regular toaster. I was hoping the "convection" part of the oven would mean faster cooking times, but I see little difference between this oven and my conventional gas stove. Well, you get what you pay for, and what I got met my expectations. ... Read more

This powerful blender blends delicious smoothies and shakes, pulverizes fresh vegetables for gazpacho, purees steamed vegetables for baby food, and even crushes ice for margaritas. The blender’s unique Quad-Blade technology combines 700 watts of power with four strong blades so food is evenly blended without leaving any large chunks of fruit floating in smoothies. The controls on this blender couldn’t be easier—instead of the push-button settings found on many blenders, the Quad-Blade operates with the twist of a knob. You control the intensity of the blending by turning the knob to a higher setting or twisting it down a notch. A pulse button adds an extra blast of power for crushing ice or for finishing off a fruit puree and also runs the auto-clean feature when you fill the jar with warm water. The calibrated glass jar has a capacity of 48 ounces and a spout for easier pouring. The plastic lid has a twist-off cap in the middle for adding ingredients midway through blending, and the cap double as an extra measuring cup. Amazon.com Review

This powerful food prep center chops, slices, dices, shreds, and kneads up to 6 cups of food in its plastic work bowl to fulfill all your chopping needs in a single unit. The blender’s unique Quad-Blade technology combines a processing vortex equipped with 800 watts of power and four strong blades so even foods that are notorious for chopping unevenly in a food processor, such as onions or ice, come out in uniform chunks. Two speed settings—low or high—let you control the exact texture of chopped food and a pulse button gives an extra blast of power (up to 1,100 watts) to quickly finish off a chopping job.

In addition to chopping vegetables, the usual fare for a food processor, the Quad-Blade blends cookie and pastry doughs, kneads up to 1-1/2 pounds of pizza or bread dough with the included dough blade, grinds meat or poultry for making burgers, and crushes ice into miniscule chips for cold drinks or snow cones. The processor also comes with five different slicing and shredding attachments that are held in place by a disc. A fine shredder preps cabbage for cole slaw, carrots for raw salads, or hard cheeses to top pasta, while a thicker shredder grates shoestring potatoes for grilling, mozzarella cheese for pizza, or iceberg lettuce for tacos. Two slicer attachments come in thick and thin widths for creating uniform slices of cucumbers, carrots, or potatoes. Finally, a French fry blade cuts potatoes into perfectly spaced squared pieces for dropping into a deep fryer. A feeding tube lets you continue to add food while the processor is spinning and a food pusher lets you put the right amount of pressure on food to get uniform slices.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Product - replaces food mixer and blender
The only reason it gets just 4 stars is the fact that the several blades that come with the machine do NOT in fact store in the unit as it was described. Hey, is that such a big problem? Yeah, it would be convenient but it is no big deal.
This thing ROCKS! If the owners would read the instructions and have a little patience, they will find that it does everything as advertised.
I've never had a food processor before - didn't think the price of the other brands was a reasonable buy. I got a bargain on mine and I love it. I now use it in place of a mixer or blender.
I'm totally satisfied and would recommend it. I don't know what kind of customer service one receives if there is a problem as I haven't had any.

2-0 out of 5 stars Machine is good - customer service from the website abismal.
I order this machine from the Euro-Pro website and it arrived with a cracked bowl. I called twice and both times I was told I would receive a replacement in 5 to 7 days. I would also like to mention that I offered to send the broken bowl back so they could see the crack, but was told no. That was in October and I still have not received the replacement. I am at the point that I will purchase a new bowl, but cannot find a source. I would not reccommend that anyone purchase this machine directly from Euro-Pro. I will not order another Euro-Pro product.

1-0 out of 5 stars Piece of Garbage!
I used it twice before it stopped working.

4-0 out of 5 stars No customer service
The product had a cracked bowl when purchased. Customer service is non existant. The product would be great if the bowl wasnt cracked and the liquid didnt leak out. It seems impossible to get a replacement bowl!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Work bowl and lid friction
The friction between the lid and the plastic work bowl can be reduced by rubbing a few drops of vegetable oil on the mating surfaces. Also a little oil on the cam, positioned on the lid, that actuates the power interlock will help. This is a great machine. ... Read more

A 1,500-watt countertop unit, the Euro-Pro oven does everything from toast to rotisserie to convection bake. Straightforward and simple to use, the oven features a multidial control panel, with one dial each for temperature, function, and time. The temperature dial ranges from 180 to 450 degrees F, and the function dial includes settings for keep warm, rotisserie, toast, broil, and bake. The oven’s 15-minute timer includes a printed toasting guide and a stay-on option. Engaged by a separate switch, the convection system can be used with any of the settings. When on, it gently circulates air to help distribute heat evenly and quickly. The oven uses less energy and browns, seals, and crisps food without loss of moisture. A moderately sized unit, the oven toasts up to six slices of toast, roasts an8-pound turkey, or rotisserie-cooks a 5-pound chicken. It accommodates up to 9-inch bakeware and the use of both cookie sheets at once.

Housed in stainless steel, the oven features a tempered safety glass door with a comfortable, heat-resistant handle. The interior comes with an automatic light and a self-cleaning coating that wipes down easily. Accessories include two cookie sheets, two wire racks, a rotisserie wheel, a rotisserie handle, a broiler rack, a crumb tray, a tray/rack handle, a drip pan with a porcelain enamel finish, a fish basket, and six rotisserie skewers. Power-cord hooks and side handles simplify transport. The oven measures 15 by 23 by 13 inches and comes with a one-year limited warranty. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A Bad Product
I had a Farberware Convection Oven for many years, which was a fantastic oven. However, it finally died, and it is no longer being made. Loving convection cooking, I started a search for another convection oven. While shopping with my daughter, I came across the XL Toaster oven/rotisserie convection oven. I was thrilled, and purchased it. I have read the manual several times, and connot make head or tail out of it. It gives only one small paragraph on convection cooking, which tells you absolutely nothing. It either burns, or everything comes out half cooked. I have never been so disappointed in a product. I feel that I have wasted my money, and been cheated. Nothing seems to work. I cannot even get the stupid basket open. The rotisserie is a joke. Everything is either too big or too heavy. The racks are either too high or too low. You cannot put a rack over the drip pan, since the slide is taken up by the drip pan. It is a badly engineered product. I would love to get rid of it, and hope that you might have a solution for me.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not a quality product
If you are buying for the Rotisserie, don't. The ends continue to pop out and thus it quits turning. The food burns on one side and the other side is raw. It is an engineering nightmare. The rotisserie can get stuck in the machine and the food is almost impossible to get out after it is done (on one side). It is a waste of money.

3-0 out of 5 stars You Likka, We MAKKA
While we purchased not this model but the smaller rotisserie oven without convection, we'd like to make a few comments on Euro-Pro quality. First, we were amazed that the accessories were so cheap and appeared to have been recycled from other products. The small white "pizza stone" looks like an unglazed floor tile, and the cookie sheets of paper-thin flexible aluminum look like those folding upright spatter guards. The hingelike edges are ideally supposed to grip the oven rack and convert it into a pan so you can lift the whole thing out, but they hardly work. The racks, though sturdy stainless steel, are our main criticism. You can't slide them out very far without their tipping, and the adjustable height could have better spacing. To make matters worse, in lieu of one's being bent at the sides, both are completely straight, so you can't turn one upside down to get it closer to the bottom, or vice versa. To remove hot food safely, you must wait for the elements to cool down, pull rack out no more than 1 1/2 inches, use a fork or other utensil to side pan out an inch or two, and lift pan out with a potholder or slide it onto a plate; we've had oven mitts catch on fire cuz they got too close to the hot elements. This aside, we were pleased with the oven's generous size and functions. We've had it two years and it's still going strong. It bakes like a dream, once you figure out the European temperature settings, which are 18 degrees apart instead of 25 and aren't marked at US intervals. To preheat faster, set on "Toast," then switch to "Bake" when proper temperature is reached. Toasting is great, as long as you don't overcrowd both racks and block the heat. However, the time-bake function broke down after 6 months and no longer shuts the oven off reliably, especially at higher temperatures, a real safety hazard if left unattended. (The spring mechanism gets overheated, we imagine.) Preprepared frozen dinners are still too close to the bottom heating element and must be transferred to a heat-proof pan to bake safely. The on-light glows a very dim amber like a road reflector and is hardly visible under normal lighting conditions. The timer bell is the same, hardly audible, like a toy cash register's. The rotisserie is too light duty except for small items like shish kabob. When it comes to broiling, we really miss our old Toast-R-Oven (now made by Black and Decker, we heard), which had a much better top heating design. Euro-Pro's elements are too far apart.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Toaster oven/Rotisserie
I bake cakes, cookies, pies, roast meats to perfection, and rotisserie chicken to juicy tenderness. I haven't turned my big oven on since I started using Euro-Pro, this does it all, plus toasts.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Oven
This is the best oven for the money it does everything we ask it to. Highly recommended value ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not right from the start
I got this blender as a gift and didn't use it right away (which is too bad since the limited warranty is up) and when I did use it it leaked through the bottom. I checked with my mom and sister who had the same blender and they had the same problem! We tried to contact the place we bought the blender, but they were not interested in replacing or paying for repairs and we tried the vender and have not received any sympathy (or exchange/replacement/refund) from them, either. This is very unfortunate, since the blender has a great pitcher (really sturdy glass) and when Is aw it demonstrated it worked really well....I'm disappointed. ... Read more

This food prep center is a beefed-up version of Euro-Pro’s less expensive KP81E model and, like the other model, conveniently offers both food processor and blender functions in one appliance. The EKP110’s expanded features, however, include a more compact workstation, more attachments and speeds, and better storage for attachments.

Running at 600 watts, the unit offers nine levels of speed plus turbo and pulse buttons. The food processor’s bowl holds up to 50 ounces of food and has a wide-mouth feed tube with a pusher in its lid for adding vegetables for slicing or shredding or for pouring oils or liquids into a sauce. The processor uses a unique double chopping blade that promotes faster and finer chopping. In addition to its mainstainless-steel chopping blade, the processor comes with a plastic blade for kneading dough, a stainless-steel french fry blade, and four square discs that pop into a round disc holder to slice (thin or wide) or shred (fine or coarse). Additional attachments include astainless-steel whisk for whipping cream or batter, a citrus juicer, and a juice extractor, making this a four-in-one appliance. The discs all store safely and conveniently in slots within the food processor’s lid and more storage is located below the blender for blades and other attachments.

Convenient for puréeing soups, baby food, or sauces, the blender portion of the unit holds about 50 ounces and has a convenient measuring cup on the side of the pitcher. The blender locks into place for safety and, when not in use, has a hinged safety cover that goes over the motor. The whole unit has nonslip feet to keep it from sliding on a counter and a cord storage area underneath the blender side of the appliance. Both the blender and food processor bowls and all the food processor attachments are dishwasher-safe. This unit is covered by a one-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So far so good
It's one of life's little mysteries. With all of our advanced technology and engineering capabilities; why can't someone make a decent blender? Can it really be that difficult? What truly shocks me is that the blender I bought 20+ years ago to see me through college still works, yet every new blender I buy to replace it fails within moments of use. Thank God that I've held on to my old standard as a backup, Sure only one out of 20 some odd speeds still works, but the fundamentals are still there and it makes a great margarita (come on - I did buy this for college after all!).

We've tried a Waring - the motor smoked on the second use. We bought an Ultrex and it has a great motor but the blade assembly continually freezes up and needs to be replaced. We've read all the reviews on all the other blenders on Amazon and it is apparent that the entire selection offered by every manufacturer is sub-standard at best. We bought the Euro-Pro based upon it's unique design and I am happy to report that it works remarkably well for it's price/feature set.

It makes a great margaritas (some things never change!) and it does a decent job busting up the ice into consistent, minute sized particles. If it can do this, than a smoothy would be no problem at all. We've used the food processor for various tasks and it also works remarkably well. It has a great little blender/beater bar that is great fun to watch (very cool!) and it creamed butter quite nicely. The tools and accessories are nicely stowed away, which is a tribute to the careful design that went into the final product. The motor is strong and both blender and processor make the most of what it has to offer. The only downside is that the makers assume that you know all about a food processor - if you're a novice, then you'll need to either experiment or get advice on what all the tools are and how to use them.

Pros:
Compact design
Nice & slick storage
Plenty of power
Decent at crushing ice

Cons:
No recipe book
No explanation on how all the tools & attachments are to be used
Could have a wider speed selection - 1 through 8 are really close, turbo is a quantum leap from the others

Bottom line is that we're very happy with this unit. We'll hold onto "ol' faithful" for awhile yet, just to make sure that we're in the clear, but so far so good - which is a lot more than I can say for the past few blenders we've tried. The five starts are relative to the others we've tried and compared. It could be better, but the rest are very sub-par.

If anything ever changes, we'll update our review.

4-0 out of 5 stars I love the processor/blender but...
I wish the processor came with a recipe book. I have many uses for the appliance, but would have many more if it came with some recipes or even usage tips to go with the juicer, processor, and blender. There is absolutely nothing to go on except for some recommended chopping speeds in the user manual. I couldn't even find anything on the web! Other than that, I love the various speeds and blades. Also, cleanup seems to be easy so far (except the juicer - grapes get messy). Carrots seemed to stain the shredding blade holder (it's white), but the orange stains faded within hours and it looks as good as new. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a multi-tasker. ... With its 1-1/2-pound capacity, this futuristic-looking deep fryer cooks large portions of all your favorite crispy fried foods, from French fries to apple fritters to beer-battered fish, while eliminating the mess that comes with stovetop frying. The unit has a heavy-duty plastic exterior that stays cool to the touch and keeps the chef safe from burns. A power switch and a thermostat that goes up to 392 degrees F are the only controls on the unit, making it simple to master. The professional 1,500-watt stainless-steel heating element is immersed in the oil so it can better maintain high temperatures when food is placed into the fryer. This keeps your foods from absorbing too much oil and results in a crispier coating on your chicken, onion rings, or other fried foods.

The fryer has a ready light that illuminates when your oil is hot enough for frying. Other perks include a quick-release button to lift its lid, a lid with a viewing window to watch your food cook, and a filter that absorbs oil and prevents it from splattering all over your kitchen. This multipurpose blender offers the expertise of several small kitchen appliances--a blender, food processor, and stand mixer--in one compact unit. The main power source is a 10-speed 250-watt power pack, designed for short 1-minute bursts, with several attachment options. Perfect as an extra cooking surface in a busy kitchen, or the only cooking surface in a secluded cabin, this large-capacity electric grill fits six hamburger patties, or four chicken breasts or grilled cheese sandwiches--enough for the whole family. Preheat the grill by setting the timer on its lid to the "Stay On" position. A light illuminates and it takes only 4 to 5 minutes for the appliance to heat up to the proper cooking temperature. You can set the lid timer to anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes of cooking, depending on your recipe, and a bell sounds when your food is cooked.

The lid closes on your food so both sides grill simultaneously. Grooved channels direct grease or fat runoff from meats into the removable, dishwasher-safe drip tray located under the contact grill. Food should always be removed with wooden or plastic utensils to avoid scraping the grill's nonstick surface. Aside from that caveat, the nonstick plates are easy to clean with a damp sponge. Although it looks more like a hairdryer than a hand mixer, this appliance delivers 500 watts of power into cake batter, bread dough, or mashed potatoes. The electronic mixer has 13 programmable speeds on its LCD panel, giving you control over the consistency of the food you're mixing. In addition, a turbo button lets you go from the lowest speed to the highest in a flash for a 3-second power burst. The electronic panel also has a built-in timer, which is helpful for clocking mixing times when following a recipe and can be set to run for up to 15 minutes. If average speed is all you're after, an auto button will mix at mid-speed (level 5) and won't require you to enter a mixing time. The buttons on the electronic panel are easily reachable with a thumb and are spaced well enough apart to avoid programming errors. The mixer comes with stainless-steel attachments for various baking projects--a wire whisk, two wire beaters, and two dough hooks--and has an eject button for easily removing attachments for cleaning. The unit also has an automatic cord-rewind button lower down on its front to retract the cord for storage. This food prep center conveniently offers both food processor and blender functions in one appliance. Running at 600 watts, the unit is fairly quiet considering its power and offers two levels of speed plus a pulse button. More versatile than a toaster, this toaster oven not only browns bread but can cook smaller quantities of food, such as baked potatoes or a few helpings of lasagna, without requiring you to use your main oven. The 1,000-watt toaster oven fits about four bagels or slices of bread and offers two different positions for its rack, depending on whether you prefer to toast or broil. In addition to baking or broiling options, the control panel offers a warming alternative and a setting for toasting and reheating pizza (which never turns out right in the microwave). 1-0 out of 5 stars Broiler doesn't work
However, I paid only $19.95 for it and only use for toasting french bread. Other than that, it's not worth more than what I paid.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice little toaster oven
After reading other reviews of this product, I was a bit concerned about purchasing this toaster oven, but for price and style it couldn't be beat. And after receiving it, I couldn't be happier my toaster oven. For toasting, reheating and keeping things warm, this is a great toaster oven! And it looks super cute sitting out in my kitchen! I haven't tried baking, but think this would work great for a small batch of cookies (assuming they need to cook at 350) but I have an oven - this is just an accesory. Great product, great price, great style - what more do you need?

1-0 out of 5 stars Didn't notice broiler was broken.
I bought the oven to cook lunches at work. We did not find out the broiler was not operating until after the free Amazon return period. It was not worth finding a box and paying shipping costs to send it back to Amazon. Talked to the manufacturer today who wanted me to ship at my expense plus pay $13.95. Again not worth the trouble. Also, it took Euro Pro a month to call me after I sent them an email telling them the unit was defective. Buyer beware!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very nice
I am not sure of the other reviewers' expectations, but for me it is great. I did not expect perfection, or that it will be the main or most frequent way to cook. It toasts sliced bread, french bread, pita bread, english muffins and bagels just fine. I also used it to bake, broil and warm/reheat, all with no problems. Please do not buy it with the expectations that it will do everything a regular oven does. Sure there are no temperature controls, and I would have preferred and underneath slide out crumb tray (hence 4 stars instead of 5), but my whole reason of buying it was for a quick food preparation (mainly toasting and reheating), especially if you plan to use it in an office. The instructions are concise, and the included accessories are great. It cleans easily, and agree completely with others about its stylish appearance/exterior design. The price at Amazon was a great value, and time will tell as for its durability. Definitely recommend over any B&D for the price.

3-0 out of 5 stars No Temperature Control for Baking!
I was very surprised to unwrap my new toaster oven & find no temperature control for baking! I used my oven thermometer to check out what the temp gets to - 350 - and that's the only temp you can use for baking (My old toaster oven had settings just like a regular oven).

However, it is a beautiful toaster oven & looks good on my counter - so will just use it for toast! ... Read more
