5-0 out of 5 stars Best mixer ever owned
I would have preferred the higher power of the Professional model, if we could have found it; however, the 325 watts and 5 QT bowl of the Artisan are working out just fine. The bread paddle does a great job of mixing dense sourdough bread. The only problem is reminding my husband to not mix anything for as long as the recipe says because the mixer is so much faster than others. Well worth the high cost (even at great discounts); and we keep ours out on the counter for frequent use. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

One look at this rubbery bakeware and those uninformed about silicone will laugh at the possibility that it’s actually safe to bake in it. But safe it is and KitchenAid is just one of many bakeware manufacturers that is producing pans in this revolutionary material. Made of FDA-approved food-grade silicone, this muffin pan bakes 24 chocolate orange mini cupcakes and is perfect for prepping treats for a child’s birthday party. The pan bakes just as evenly as your metal pans and at temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, this silicone pan has the benefit of being safe for the refrigerator, freezer, and microwave and can withstand sudden temperature changes from one extreme to another without buckling. The nonstick surface releases cupcakes easily and is safe for use with metal utensils aside from knives or serrated blades. An oversized rim makes the pan easy to lift and transfer to and from from the oven. The only noticeable difference with silicone is that the pans feel a little wobbly as you carry them from tabletop to oven filled with batter and vice versa. Placing this muffin pan on a baking sheet will offer better stability for transferring baked goods and provide a level cooking surface in the oven. For easy cleanup, this pan is dishwasher-safe and will retain its nonstick cooking surface through hundreds of dishwasher cycles. KitchenAid provides a one-year hassle-free replacement warranty plus a lifetime limited warranty on this pan. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Kitchenaid Silicone Bakeware
I did not have any problem with this silicone bakeware. It was wonderful. I followed the directions, sprayed lightly, baked, everything was absolutely perfect, and came out of the silicone bakeware like a dream (they advise that you let the food cool completely before trying to remove). Everything I cooked in each of my Kitchenaid silicone wares was fantastic and there was no silicone/plastic smell. ... Read more

KitchenAid's superior 12-inch round grill pan is wonderful for grilling breakfast meats or dinner steaks on top of the range and is durably constructed for a lifetime of use by serious cooks and weekend gourmets alike. 5-0 out of 5 stars perfect searing pan
I wanted a pan I could heat to the smoking point and then keep it there for searing tenderloin. This pan works great. The low sides actually reduce splatter at this temperature since most grease is carried into the air in other pans by steam formed on the sides of the pan. The rounded grill ridges make cleaning easier. Put the pan to soak and use a little stainless polish if necessary. It's a keeper.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice grill
I had an opportunity to cook with this grill pan over the Christmas holiday. It is well made, it handles well on the stove top, and it heats pretty evenly.

Depending on what you are cooking, the stainless interior can be easy or a pain to clean. I gave it four stars because I think a grill pan might be better served with a non stick surface. For a saute pan, and for reducing sauces, I like a stainless surface. It is much easier to see what is going on there than with a non stick. For a grill though, non stick properties are more important.

One reviewer wrote that he thought non stick was a scam, and that it goes away within a few months. Nonsense. That might have been the heads up on cheap supermarket pans 30 years ago, but a quality non stick pan today will last for years, and cook a perfect omlette, or grill a perfect fish fillet. Think about the job at hand, and choose the tools accordingly. A glance at the pans used in commercial kitchens, or those used by the wide variety of TV chefs is enough to let you know that there are some jobs that are tailor made for non stick cookware. Eggs, cheese, fish, and general grilling are among them.

5-0 out of 5 stars YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
I WILL MAKE THIS SHORT AND SWEET, THE PAN LOOKS GREAT, COOKS GREAT, AND THE FINAL PRODUCT MOST IMPORTANTLY, TASTES GREAT!

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice product, but not 5 stars
This is a good product, but not excellent. I give it only three stars for the following reasons:
1. The very low sides allow for LOTS of spatter with fatty meats. Use a spatter gard, or account for that spatter in your placement of this item on your stove.
2. If you have a gas stove, you're likely to be happier using this product than if you have an electric stove or an induction range.
3. Clean up is NOT a breeze. You will need to soak and scrub a bit. If you are presently using, and are happy with, one or more good quality (All-Clad, KitchenAid, Cuisinart, etc.) stainless steel skillets, you know what to expect and will be happy with this grill pan.
4. Storage will be an issue for those with limited space. In part this is because the handle is awkwardly sized and arcs upward in a way that makes finding storage a challenge.

That said, it does a nice job with grilling. It's fairly compact. It's very well made and will likely last long enough to pass on to your heirs. My most satisfactory (and recommended) use has been with the gas grill outdoors. You'll have the grilled taste and the convenience of little clean up of the area from spatter, yet no nasty grills to clean, as well as no carginogens from the char (tasty but deadly) from direct cooking over an open flame.

5-0 out of 5 stars The most used item in my kitchen (besides the faucet)
I initially set out to buy some sort of indoor grilling apparatus, be it pan or electric grill. My problem was that the electric grills seemed to large and bulky, yet they provided the "open air" style that I thought was important for grilling (which I have found to be untrue). The grill pans seemed a lot cheaper and easier to clean than all other grills, but I was naturally skeptical of its ability to do a *proper* barbeque.I have never been more wrong about anything in my life.In my opinion, grill pans are THE way to grill (and this is THE grill pan). They cook evenly (a big problem for outdoor grills), they are easy to clean, and they are definantly easy to store.Plus, if you are cooking a meat that is getting too dark too quickly on the outside, while raw on the inside, you can just slam it in the oven for a few minutes and save the day!

Now that I have sold you on the grill pan idea, let me tell you why this grill pan is the Holy Grail of grill pans. This pan is a lot more expensive than most grill pans, which usually range from $(...) or so, but its not a bad price considering that it is actually worth its weight in gold! Other grill pans include cast iron, and non-stick varieties.Cast iron lasts almost forever but is sensitive to certain substances and usually calls for unique cleaning procedures, as well as requiring that it be "pre-seasoned" with certain oils.Non-stick pans will lure the novice, but are a total scam in my opinion. The non-stick coating will inevitably wear off in a matter of months.Stainless steal is very easy to clean (just soak for an hour with a little soap), will last forever, and is oven safe.

At first I was a little curious as to why the ridges in the KitchenAid pan were so much shorter than the other grill pans.I was worried that it was too short and the meat would lay across the entire surface of the pan and burn (a bit pessimistic of me, I know). Now I realize that its ridge height is absolutely perfect!Short ridge height, if done right, is a good thing in a grill pan.It lets the meat be closer to the bottom so that the meat will be cooked via the radiant heat from the bottom as well as the contact areas of the ridges.I believe the way that KitchenAid minimizes their ridge height is by the shape of the ridges. They use a gentle bevel instead of the sharp spike that most grill pans use.Why are you still reading this? Just click the "Buy Now" button and call it a day...

Oh ya, I love this pan so much that I actually bring it with me when I visit people out of town. :)The rest of the KitchenAid line (which I own) is of this caliber too, but my love affair is with this grill pan. ... Read more

How many times have you bent a cheap spoon in a rock-hard pint of ice cream? You need a sturdy scoop like this one to get the job done. 5-0 out of 5 stars Another great KitchenAid product!
Ok, I absolutely LOVE this ice cream scoop. The design is perfect for scooping (the front is higher, it scoops soo nicely in to round little balls), and the handle is thick and heavy, which makes it much easier to control, especially when scooping thicker ice creams. So far, this is my favorite ice cream scoop - I've had absolutely NO complaints about it! And as with most of my other KitchenAid products, it goes in the dishwasher with no problem! ... Read more

This is one spatula you won't find melted up against the side of the stove. Heat resistant to 500 degrees F, it's crafted from a sturdy silicone that won't scratch or scrape nonstick cooking surfaces. The 3-1/2-by-2-1/2-inch blade has a surface that's curved like a spoon for easy scooping and spreading, and the tip is flexible to let you get at the last drop of batter in the bowl. (Whatever you do, don't tell the kids you'll be using it; they might just go on strike.) 1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I too have problems with my muffins releasing. But even more troubling, there was a strong odor of "burnt rubber" and when I opened the oven door to take the muffins out, a big cloud of smoke came out of the oven. I called KitchenAid customer service and they said they had not heard that complaint before, but I cannot believe that I am the only one who has had this issue. I do not recommend this bakeware--I went out and bought the Calphalon metal pan to replace and my muffins come out perfectly now!

5-0 out of 5 stars Delicious honey muffins
I have used this only once and it outperformed my standard metal muffin pans. This was tested by creating a batch of honey muffin batter, oiling two metal pans and this silicone pan, filling them each with the batter. After visually inspecting and taste testing the muffins, the dozen baked in the silicone pan were far better in appearance and taste than their metal counterparts. I will gladly amend this review should it not perform equally well with a cake batter.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible Pan - Does not do what it claims.
I totally agree with the previous reviewer. This pan is terrible. I also ended up with only tops. I suppose you could put paper muffin cups in, but what would be the point of buying this pan then??? Also, these do not nest like a regular metal pan (the sled takes up a lot of room). DO NOT BUY THIS!

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
First of all I gave it one star because it would not let me continue if I put nothing. It deserves no stars. I purchased this item after seeing similar ones on the Today show a while back. This product was nothing like what I saw. I baked some cupcakes and could tell right away they were not going to pop right out. They were entirely stuck in the pan and you can't really pry them out because you will damage the pan. So I ended up with a dozen cup cake tops (I am not kidding). I called the 800 number which was a joke. One lady told my to grease the muffin pan. Then why purchase this? You can do that with a $5.00 muffin pan at Walmart. And another lady told me that they had had problems with them and that they weren't KitchenAid products, they only put their name on them. She suggested I return it. I returned it to Amazon and received a full refund.
Don't waste your money as these are very expensive. Buy a cheap one and continue to use the muffin papers or buy a regular nonstick one and spray lightly with Pam. ... Read more

For daily food preparation, this durable polypropelene cutting board has a large 11-by-14-inch cutting space and holds up to repeated use. The board is double-sided so you can slice meats and vegetables on separate surfaces to avoid contamination. Non-slip santoprene handles in a contrasting color prevent the board from slipping off the counter during slicing and also keep the board from sliding out of wet hands when transporting chopped ingredients from countertop to stove. The tough plastic cutting surface is preferable among germ-conscious chefs as it is dishwasher-safe and, therefore, easier to clean and sanitize. Knife gurus will also appreciate the polypropelene surface for maintaining knives and resulting in fewer trips to the professional sharpener. 4-0 out of 5 stars glued label
Forget the oil to remove this glue. GooGone works much better.
Why do manufacturers insist on putting on these hard-to-remove labels, or maybe the glue in China is much better!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love It!
I got this board as a free gift from KitchenAid with something I purchased quite a while back. I love it. Not only do I like the non-slip properties, but so far, it hasn't yellowed like other plastic-based boards I've owned.

Those who have a problem should take advantage of KitchenAid's "no hassle" warranty while it is still in effect.

3-0 out of 5 stars How to make *ANY* cutting board NON SLIP
3 stars, 'cause I'm neutral on this cutting board.

For those of you "wowed" by the non-slip factor or for those of you that find $$ for a polypropylene hunk 'o plastic too steep here's some words of advice.

#1)Put a simple tea towel (kitchen towel) under your cutting board next time.Reduces both the noise _and_ the slippage.

#2)Head down to your neighborhood tap plastics and buy pieces of polypropylene.Guess what?Same material...works just fine and well under half the price.

My 2 cents.

5-0 out of 5 stars All-Clad Alternative
Never thought I could own a top of the line cooking set due to the exuberant prices..., but Kitchenaid made it possible.I found the quality, style, and detail better than All-Clad's stainless, but at a lower cost.Hope they expand their line offering to compete better with All-Clad.Overall, very amazed and pleased with the cooking results. Note, pots are very heavy.Found difficulty in washing/rinsing due to weight.Wouldn't want to drop this on your foot. ... Read more
