Why did I wait so long to get one of these?
What an amazing piece of equipment!! Since this cooker arrived in my kitchen, I have used it to prepare tender pot roasts, amazing corned beef and cabbage, spicy lamb vindaloo, ratatouille soup (a new soup for me--my family devoured it) and the richest, most satisfying mushroom barley soup ever. Here in New England, where six months of the year cry out for comfort food, eveyone should be required to use this pot. The food emerges flavorful, with excellent texture, and is ready in a fraction of the time of conventional cooking. The technique is simple, not at all dangerous or intimidating, and cleanup is a snap. After using this a few times, I purchased the Risotto Pot as well, and found that all the laborious steps involved in preparing this dish are eliminated, and the end product is superior.
