That strikes me as about as absurd as it gets. Why on earth would anyone -- and I do mean anyone -- want that? I.e., if the person is alert enough to be able to read the smiley face, then he's more than alert enough to be able to identify if the room temperature is at a comfortable level. When the alarm sounds, the time also projects in large red digits onto a wall or ceiling up to six feet away so you can’t miss seeing it. The projection arm has four different orientation angles for you to adjust it to the perfect eye level and also has an adjustable brightness control. The clock has two alarm settings, enabling you to set wake-ups for two different times, and an adjustable snooze button allows you to set a respite of anywhere between 1 and 59 minutes between alarms and flashing digits.

The clock has a built-in antenna system that receives signals from the WWVB radio transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is in turn is regulated by the atomic clock. Once you plug the unit in and set the clock to the proper time zone (of four US time zones), it will automatically set to the accurate time. The main screen also displays a United States map icon and identifies your current time zone, plus it shows the current indoor temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius degrees.
