This 1,235-watt countertop oven makes pizza in about half the time required by a conventional oven. You don't need to preheat it--it begins rotating and baking the moment you plug it in. There are independently controlled top and bottom heating elements, so all types (frozen or fresh) and sizes (7 to 12 inches) of pizza can be custom baked. With a rising-crust pizza, for example, you should run the lower heating element for 10-12 minutes before turning on the top element. For a crisper crust, bake the pizza with both heating elements, then finish it off with a few minutes of bottom-only heating. For extra cooking time on your toppings, leave the top element on a little longer. A timer with automatic shutoff lets you set cooking times precisely, and a cooking-time guide for various pizza types is printed on the pizza maker. For safety, the appliance shuts off automatically if it overheats. With the 13-1/4-inch-diameter baking pan in place, the pizza maker is 13-1/4 inches wide, 9-1/2 inches high, and 17-1/2 inches deep. (The baking pan can be removed for more compact storage.) It carries a two-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Single Man's Dream
As a single man who eats 2-3 frozen pizzas a week, this was a better purchase than my microwave. Frozen pizzas cook in 15 minutes or less, as compared to 20-23 minutes with a conventional oven. When you wait until the last minute to start cooking, 5 minutes is a long time. Additionally it cooks the pizza perfectly evenly. There are also controls that let you choose between crisp, normal, and light crusts.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pizzazz Pizza Maker
Our family loves the Pizzazz Pizza Maker. It takes up relatively little storage space. You don't have to preheat it. You're not heating up the kitchen using your full size oven. The pizza pan is non-stick. It cooks your pizza top and bottom in 12-13 minutes. It is great for college students living in dorms.

5-0 out of 5 stars KID FRIENDLY KITCHEN HELPER
My family uses our Presto Pizzazz Pizza Oven on a daily basis for much more than pizza. We toast our hot ham-n-cheese sandwiches, toast garlic bread, make grilled cheese, cook almost anything you would normally deep fry, such as cheese sticks, hot wings, ect. It cleans easily and I can allow my children to use it without worry or the stove being turned on. We recently tried canned refrigerator biscuits with success(tip, cook on the bottom first to allow biscuits to rise). Anything that can save our house from heating up in the Summer due to the oven...is a money saver for other things.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pizza in the Summer!
With the Pizzaz I can now enjoy frozen pizza in the summer. I would never cook frozen pizza in the summer months before because the oven would heat up the whole house and then I would have to cool it back down with the AC bill. Now I can also cook Pizza anywhere, Garage, Deck. Cabin, Park, etc, anywhere you can find AC electricity. It is a great appliance for even the kids to run when they have guest. It is safe because it cannot be left on. It also cooks other snacks, chips n cheese, cookies, corndogs, fish sticks, Grilled cheese ... etc. It also saves time because you do not need to preheat the oven.

Plug in the Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper and the party begins. In less than 2-1/2 minutes you’ll have up to 18 cups--two large bowlfuls--of fluffy popcorn with virtually no unpopped kernels. And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That’s not to say you can’t add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter melter. Simply put in the desired amount of margarine or butter (room temperature is best), and it melts from the heat produced during the popping process. The clear plastic cover and cup, which must stay on during popping so the popped corn doesn’t fly all over the room, easily remove for hand cleaning with warm, soapy water. No other clean-up is required. While a few unpopped kernels spring out the chute as the machine begins to heats up, the chute does a good job of directing the popped corn into a bowl. The popper measures 14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches, and is identical to Presto’s PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper except for color and logo. Presto covers the popper with a two-year warranty. --Ann Bieri ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Guilt-free popcorn in a minute!
This popper just stays on the kitchen counter now -- I use it every day to make a huge bowl of hot, crunchy popcorn that is fat-free and guilt-free. It takes just a minute to pour the kernels in, insert the plug in the outlet, and catch in a bowl the mounds of heavenly, light popcorn that come out. There are very few "old maids" that don't pop. Money very well spent!

5-0 out of 5 stars For air popped...Presto makes the besto.
Why pay over and over for processed microwave popcorn bags that come with unhealthy additives? The Presto popper makes light, fluffy popcorn, without oil. Very few unpopped kernels. We love snacking on plain and healthy air-popped popcorn, but you can still add butter/salt. Or try sprinkling in a dash of cinnamon. The popper is inexpensive, easy to use and easy to clean. This one's a winner.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Product, HORRIBLE Seller!
Ordered this and was charged the next day by Kitchen Etc. I was assuming my order had shipped since Amazon usually charges until the order is shipped. I WAS DEAD WRONG! Almost a month goes by and nothing. So I email them and suddenly my order has shipped. I wait about three days, usually it takes about one and a half, and still nothing. I emailed them for a tracking number (they didn't give me one) so I can see what's going on with UPS. They give me the number and tell me that if I write to complain again, I would be ignored. I call UPS and it turns out that they shipped it to the wrong address! This is the first time this has happened so I know its nothing on my part. It was a good thing that address didn't exist. I gave UPS my right address and they had it at my door the next day. The product itself is very good, kind of makes a mess and always shoots out unpopped kernels at first, not to mention the impossibility to salten them (I like a little salt on my popcorn). Overall, great product, HORRIBLE seller. Amazon, do something about Kitchen Etc.

2-0 out of 5 stars I disagree
Yes, the popcorn comes out tasty and few kernels are wasted but this Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper makes a mess. I spend more time clearing the counter than I do eating the popcorn. There are better products out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Machine
I love popcorn and decided to buy a hot ait corn popper because is healthfull. I found diferents kind of these poppers and bought this one because read these positive comments. So now I have my own machine and must put my positive comments to help others who want to buy a good machine.

THIS MACHINE IS REALLY GREAT, MAKE GOOD POPCORNs WITH FEW (5 OR 6) KERNELS WITHOUT OPEN. I RECOMMEND YOU BUY IT. ... Read more

Pressure cookers have experienced renewed popularity over the last several years because cooks have rediscovered what some cooks (particularly grandmas) have known for a long time--they're really fast. And it's easy to cook healthfully with pressure cookers, since the food retains so much more of its nutrients and flavor. Presto's 6-quart stainless steel pressure cooker is a multi-purpose pot that can stand in as a conventional soup pot as well as perform the kitchen magic that pressure cookers are famous for. Chicken Cacciatore cooks in 8 minutes! This professional-quality stainless steel pressure cooker is a handy addition to any well-rounded set of kitchen tools.

The heavy-duty lid locks down during cooking; an inner sealing ring keeps the steam in. In addition to a pop-up pressure indicator and a simple steam release mechanism, there is an overpressure plug that will let off steam if it builds up excessively. This pressure cooker is useful for weeknight dinners or for any meal that needs to come together quickly. An accompanying booklet contains more than 65 recipes, ranging from basic soup stocks to stews and pot roasts--even desserts like 5-minute custards! Tenderize lean cuts of beef or pork; or cook chicken, fish, or vegetables faster than you can in a microwave, and without losing moisture.

Nonabrasive cleansers are best for cleaning this stainless steel pressure cooker, though occasional use of a fine metal polish will help the exterior keep its shine. The Presto 6-quart pressure cooker is fully immersible; in addition, the sealing ring should be removed after each use to allow cleaning of the inside rim of the lid. The vent pipe is simple to keep clean with a small brush or pipe cleaner, and both the air vent/cover lock and the overpressure plug are removable. The pressure cooker measures 9 inches in diameter (17 inches including handles) and 8-1/2 inches tall (including lid). Presto guarantees this pressure cooker with an extended 12-year warranty. A detailed instruction and recipe booklet is included; special safety issues that pertain to pressure cookers are clearly explained. --Garland Withers ... Read more

I can't give much of a review because you sent 1-6qt alumnuim presto pressure cooker. I have been trying to print a label,so that I can send it back so you can send me the item that I ordered,
but you keep telling me the system is down.

I ordered 1-6qt. stainless steel presto pressure cooker.

5-0 out of 5 stars good
This is nothing fancy, but it works wery well. Replacemenat parts are easy to buy. You can't open it if it's under pressure because it has a lock by the handle (safety feature). Actually I think it's very safe as it has other features as well.
I think one of the most important things to look for is what it's made of (after safety of course!). This is stainless steel which is good because you don't want aluminum (aluminum will stain and get eaten away with acidic food such as vinegar or lemon juice...).
Another thing to consider is that it takes time to heat up and cool down so even though all pressure cookers say it takes a lot less time to cook, they don't take the heat-up cool-down time into consideration, even though they are correct about the actual cooking time.

The slim and trim Scandinavian Design coffee maker from Presto offers speedy brewing in a smart, space-saving machine. Engineered with a patented top heating element, the unit heats water to the ideal temperature for extracting flavor from coffee grounds and ensures that it's especially hot right before it hits the coffee. During brewing, the machine includes a pause-and-serve feature, so you can pour a cup before the brew process is finished, while the 24-hour programmable timer means the coffee will be ready when you wake. Able to brew up to 10 cups in about eight minutes, the machine keeps coffee hot for about two hours then shuts off power for safety. The keep-warm element deserves special mention--its Positive Temperature Coefficient design cycles on and off to maintain optimum serving temperature.

The USDA recommends pressure canning as the only safe method for low-acid foods such as vegetables, meats, and poultry. The Presto 23-quart pressure canner is more than adequate for any home canning needs. It's a professional-quality tool, made of heavy-duty aluminum, with stay-cool handles and a strong-lock steel lid. An accompanying rack fits down into the pot to keep jars up off the bottom, so that liquid can circulate underneath. And it can do double duty as a large pressure cooker. It's easy to cook healthfully with pressure cookers, since the food retains so much more of its nutrients and flavor.

The sturdy lid locks down during canning or cooking; an inner sealing ring keeps the steam in. In addition to a pop-up pressure indicator and a simple steam release mechanism, there is an overpressure plug that will let off steam if it builds up excessively. The pressure dial gauge gives an accurate reading so that pressure can be kept constant during canning. This pressure canner is also a cooker that's useful for weeknight dinners or for any meal that needs to come together quickly. An accompanying booklet contains more than 50 recipes, ranging from basic soup stocks to stews and pot roasts--even sweets like English Plum Pudding or Brown Bread! All kitchen and sporting knives, whether professional quality or inexpensive, need a blade tune-up now and then. This electric sharpener produces razor-sharp edges using the same rapidly rotating Sapphirite grinding wheels used by professional shops. A two-stage system allows knives to be ground and sharpened on the Stage 1 half of the machine, and then honed on the Stage 2 half. Blade guides hold the knife at the ideal sharpening angle for each side of the blade, as it is drawn slowly towards the user and kept parallel to the countertop. The sharpener is suitable for knives made of alloy, carbon, or stainless steel; it is perfectly normal for sparks to fly when knives of high carbon steel come in contact with the Sapphirite wheels. Non-electric serrated knives that are only serrated on one side can also be sharpened with this machine. Three suction cups on the bottom hold the sharpener securely on a table or countertop, and two receptacles underneath catch metal filings for disposal. The sharpener measures 8-1/4 by 5-3/4 by 4 inches, and is covered by a two-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars LIKE NEW AGAIN
I recieved by Presto sharpener yesterday and it turned my knives back to like new again. Thank you Target and Presto, my Henkels are sharp again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Sharpening Device
I look at the gold box every day, and saw this sharpener on sale. I already own it...purchased it locally, not from Amazon, and it cost me more than the gold box price. It does an amazing job on sharpening knives. I have an older set of Chicago cutlery, and it sharpens them razor sharp whenever I use it.....which my wife says it not often enough!! I sharpened our knives the day before Thanksgiving, and the bird practically carved itself. It's also very easy to use, and has a foolproof design. I recommend it highly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Now you're cooking
This is a wonderfull purchase. I love to cook and sharp knives are essential. Originally I bought it with the intention of putting it with my husband's Christmas gift stash so he could use it for sharpening fishing knives. However, after getting a good look at my own kitchen knives, I cracked it open and started sharpening. It is easy to use, and does a great job. Incidentally, I have two sets of the Henkels knives and just bought a set of Calphalon. All are wonderful. The Henkles are going on ten years of solid use and even when dull did a respectable job. Now they are sharp and ready for more good things to come out of the kitchen. Definately worth checking out. Oh, I bought mine (sharpener) on clearance too, gotta hit those clearance end caps Target devotees! ... Read more

The SaladShooter makes a fabulous gift for those who like big, healthy salads loaded with veggies, homemade pizza with plenty of grated cheese, desserts topped with nuts or chocolate--find yourself in that portrait somewhere? Amazingly fast, the SaladShooter literally shoots out prepared food directly into a salad bowl or in neat piles for an assemble-your-own taco party. Featuring sharp stainless-steel cutting blades, the two interchangeable cones, one for shredding and one for slicing, each slip in and out of the main chute and are secured in place with a twist-lock ring. That’s all--no complicated parts to assemble. Food should be cut into blocks or lengths that fit into the food chamber, and a chart in the user guide specifies which cone to use for which foods. To operate, one hand grips the handle of the shooter and flips on the power switch, while the other hand presses down on the food guide to produce a steady output of shredded or sliced food. There’s no need to wash the parts in between processing different kinds of food, so shredded cheese, lettuce, carrots, and more are ready one after the other. All parts except the motor base can be washed in the dishwasher. The SaladShooter is not intended for grinding coffee or processing cranberries, tomatoes, or meats. 5-0 out of 5 stars I love my salad shooter!
When I first saw this item advertised I laughed. Why would anybody actually want something like this I thought. Then I received it as a gift about 10 years ago and have used it to grate cheese & eggs for egg salad. It's wonderful! It's quick and easy and so is the clean up. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find this product at any of my local stores anymore!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love my salad shooter!
Okay, I use it mainly to grate cheese and eggs for egg salad, but it's quick and easy and clean up and just as fast. I've had mine for years and it's still going strong. My only problem is, I can't find this product in my local stores anymore.

2-0 out of 5 stars It cut the carrots okay, but not the vegetables I eat
I am so disappointed with the salad shooter. After reading the glowing reviews I decided to order it as I love eating vetetables, but hate cutting them. It was great cutting the carrots, but the celery got stuck even though I peeled it first. I tried red pepper and the shooter sliced a few pieces and then the red pepper kept spinning in the blade instead of being cut nicely into the salad bowl. It is even worse with an onion. I am returning it for a refund.

5-0 out of 5 stars A kitchen necessity!
I received my first Salad Shooter as a Christmas present 16 years ago, while I was in college. I used it faithfully and religiously for many years, and it was the most valuable (sentimentally, anyway) appliance in my kitchen. It lasted until a few weeks ago when the motor in the base finally conked out. I searched high and low for a new one at a store locally, and even went as far as to contact Presto customer no-service to find a brick and mortar that might carry one. I am SO lost without it. You can't find them anywhere in stores anymore, except online. So, I broke down and ordered a new one from Amazon. I'm tempted to order a second one for when this one breaks down in 16 years. Who knows if Presto will even make them in 16 years? It's a great product!

Amazon.com Review

Pressure cookers have experienced renewed popularity over the last several years because cooks have rediscovered what some cooks (particularly grandmas) have known for a long time--they're really fast. And it's easy to cook healthfully with pressure cookers, since the food retains so much more of its nutrients and flavor. Presto's 4-quart stainless steel pressure cooker is a multi-purpose pot that can stand in as a conventional saucepan as well as perform the kitchen magic that pressure cookers are famous for.

The Presto 4-quart pressure cooker is fully immersible; in addition, the sealing ring should be removed after each use to allow cleaning of the inside rim of the lid. The vent pipe is simple to keep clean with a small brush or pipe cleaner, and both the air vent/cover lock and the overpressure plug are removable. The pressure cooker measures 9 inches in diameter (16-1/2 inches including handles) and 6-1/2 inches tall (including lid). Presto guarantees this pressure cooker with an extended 12-year warranty. A detailed instruction and recipe booklet is included; special safety issues that pertain to pressure cookers are clearly explained. --Garland Withers ... Read more

This attractively shaped oval electric skillet has the capacity of a 15-inch round skillet and cooks breakfast, lunch, or dinner for six to eight people without requiring you to turn the stove on once. Equipped with a warming setting, this skillet also works as a buffet server to conveniently brown sweet and sour meatballs or grill appetizer-sized cheese sandwiches and serve right from the same pan. The heat control ranges from 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (in 50-degree increments) and automatically maintains the proper heat setting so foods cook at the same rate as they would on the stove but in a more energy-efficient manner than a range or oven. Made of heavy cast aluminum, the skillet has a beautiful white-colored nonstick interior and exterior surface so meals won’t stick and clean-up is easy. The durable tempered glass cover shows what is being served at a buffet and lets you monitor cooking progress. The skillet rests on two plastic legs that won’t transfer heat from the pan. With the heat control removed, the skillet is fully immersible in water and dishwasher-safe. Presto covers this electric skillet under a two-year warranty and warns against using metal utensils with it as they will scratch the nonstick surface. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Skillet!
I just purchased this skillet, and for the price, I am very pleased. I haven't used an electric skillet for years, mainly because they weren't durable. This one is attractive, heats quickly, and is easy to clean. I'm enjoying cooking with it - from simple chicken dishes to meatballs with sauce. The only disappointment, there are no recipes included with the unit, just a flyer describing a cookbook available for purchase (discounted, of course). All in all, I feel this was a good buy. ... You don't need a 6- gallon oil vat to enjoy deep- fried foods at home--this petite deep fryer makes four big servings with just 4 cups of oil. A compact 7 inches in diameter, the fryer features easy controls for precision frying: it automatically maintains the proper frying temperature, letting you focus on cooking instead of fussing with the controls. A hand scoop is included with the fryer for easy stirring, lifting, and draining, and the 120-volt AC cord unplugs from the outlet, while the attached handle makes the fryer easy to move around the kitchen. 5-0 out of 5 stars The best fryer I've ever used
I love my Fry Daddy. My husband and I received it as a gift for our wedding 7 years ago and it is still as good as the day we got it. I love the easy storage and the frying quality. We actually have the grandpappy fryer which allows for a bit more room but we have fried everything from chicken cutlets, to wings, to fried zucchini and everything comes out perfect. The only caution we have is that the outside does get a bit hot and can stay pretty warm for some time so be careful even after you pull the plug.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simplest is Best
I really like this fryer. Easy to use, so we use it all the time. Efficient use of oil; holds temperature well; no surprises.

1-0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable
I used this fryer a few times and it worked quite well. About the 10th time I used it, the material coating the pot burned off and turned my food black. Of course I had to throw it away.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for my frying needs
I fry things about 1-2 times a week, and I liked my fried things to be very crispy yet not laden with oil. I wanted something that would truly get to a hotter frying temperature, to make my frying quicker and more "healthful"...(healthy frying....is that an oxymoron or what?) Because I don't fry THAT often, I just needed something simple.

I like this fryer because the heat-up time is very quick, and there is much less splatter then if you were frying in a pot. When I fry, I usually do your typical fried foods: fries, onion rings, wontons, etc. I have not tried to do anything else in it yet.

If the oil is fairly clean after I use it, I will put it in the refridgerator, but not keep more than a week. This is a very simple fryer. If you are a more heavy-duty fryer, then you might want to look into a fancier one. The exterior is not cool-touch, and there is no basket. If you only do small batches of things, and don't really fry that much, or even if you do, then this will be a great fryer for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good deal
This fry daddy is good for the price, if you like deep fried foods. The only thing I would change is it is hot to the touch. ... Read more

Sized to fit most microwave ovens, including compacts, this popcorn maker pops virtually every kernel of 3 quarts of popcorn in about 2-1/2 minutes. And it works with or without oil and/or salt. That means no more of the unpopped, scorched kernels typically left behind when popping bagged corn.

The popcorn maker uses two innovations that concentrate microwave radiation onto the popcorn. First is a removable base that locks onto the transparent bowl. Second is a disposable paper cup that fits into the bowl's bottom. A package of eight cups accompanies the unit, and others can be purchased separately--each is good for about 12 batches when used with oil or 24 without oil. Both bowl and lid are dishwasher-safe. The popcorn maker is 9-3/4 inches in diameter and 6 inches high and carries a two-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If you love popcorn, you'll love this!
There couldn't be an easier way to make GREAT popcorn. I keep one of these at work as well as at home and in our motorhome. I have been able to use the same paper power cup at least twenty times by not using any oil. Just pour in enough popcorn to cover the power cup liner, pop on the lid, set your micro timer for about 3 and half minutes and hit "high". Dump popcorn into serving bowl, use some spray butter and ENJOY!! All you have to do is wipe out the popper with a paper towel and store. Hardly any "old maids", just great popcorn. I threw away our air popper after discovering this little gem!

5-0 out of 5 stars Extremely convenient, works great!
I *love* this device! I experimented with it in my particular microwave and learned that the standard load of 1/3 cup of popcorn (you can use *any* kind) cooks perfectly at 3 minutes, 12 seconds. Any less than that, and some of the kernels don't pop. Any more than that and some kernels begin to burn. The directions say you can use oil inside it, but I don't, because I want the little cardboard inserts to last a long time. I empty the popcorn into a different bowl, then I melt butter in the microwave (3 tbsp. is about right), pour it over the popcorn, add salt and stir well. You can also pour anything else you want over the popcorn, like parmesan or other dried, grated cheese, or herbs and spices. The popcorn this device produces is really, really tasty. Far better than that from microwave popcorn packets, and without the horribly unhealthy trans fats they add to them, too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific product
I received mine for a college graduation present 10 years ago and it's still going strong even though I use it quite frequently. I can see how having to buy disposable inserts would sound annoying but it's really no big deal. They're cheap, they can be reused many times if you don't use oil, and at least in my area I can easily find them for sale in most department stores. The last time I bought them I stocked up and bought 15 packs of 8. This should be enough to last me for many years. When and if this one finally wears out, I will definately buy another.

4-0 out of 5 stars Presto Power Pop Popcorn Popper
My wife and I have used the Presto Power Microwave Popper for over 2 years and have been very satisified with it. The tase of the popcorn is fresh and crisp. Adding butter, oil or salt is easily done and the "power concentrator" can be used several times.
This Popper produces fresh, light, and crispy popcorn any way you like it, buttered or not, salted or not. There are, usually, no burned kernals and almost all of the kernals are poppedd.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tasty and easy for the lazy
I've had my Presto popper for about 2 years now. I make a lot of popcorn with this popper. I fully admit that I am lazy. I love the fact that the bowl and cover are dishwasher safe. And you don't need that concentrator cup if your microwave is decently powered (yes, you'll end up with a few more unpopped kernels, but you won't have to wipe off the paper insert). Also, I love adding extra thin pats of butter during the last 30 seconds to get super-tasty buttered popcorn without dirtying another dish. (Again, the lazy factor.)

My roommate's microwave is not powerful enough for this popper, but that microwave has issues with frozen meals and always requires additional time on things like that. But if your microwave is not a wimp you'll love this popper! ... Read more

Generously proportioned with a 22-by-11-inch cooking surface, this indoor electric griddle cooks enough pancakes or hamburgers for a large crowd. Similar to Presto’s Model 07038 22-Inch Electric Griddle, this model features a smoother, more professional grade nonstick finish. Because food doesn’t stick easily, the griddle requires very little grease, thereby producing healthier food. 4-0 out of 5 stars Elegant Simplicity
I really like this design. It has a slight raised lip running around the outside edge which contains any batters, grease, or other liquids which might run over the edge and create a mess; the grease drain is only on the front edge and is treated with the same study non-stick coating as the rest of the surface, making for easy clean up. Indeed, the lack of plastic attachments make cleanup easy, and I really like the simple design, a very large cooking surface, two plastic handles and a removable plastic grease catch.

The only thing keeping me from rating it a five out of five is that I would have liked to see a thicker aluminum used, the base is only about 2mm thick, though I've been unable to find anything thicker ... Read more

In the homespun days, food was usually fried in a big cast-iron metal pot. But modern times demand simpler solutions. The Presto GranPappy electric deep fryer fits on a countertop and is so easy to use. Just add oil, plug it in, and in 15 minutes it's heated up and ready to fry. Its sleek, black bucket shape matches form to function-- simple and classic.

The GranPappy holds up to six cups of oil or three pounds of shortening, and it can accommodate up to six servings of food at a time. The internal thermostat keeps the oil at the optimum frying temperature. An accompanying scoop, slotted for draining, is for lifting food in and out or for turning food halfway through the cooking time. The power cord has a magnetic safety connection, so that if the unit is jostled during cooking, the cord will disconnect, shutting power off immediately. After straining the used oil, it can be poured back into the unit and stored, covered by the accompanying snap-on plastic lid.

After frying, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before attempting to empty oil. Wash the GranPappy with warm, sudsy water and dry it thoroughly; it is not immersible. To preserve the nonstick finish, inside and out, do not use steel wool or harsh, abrasive cleansers. The Presto GranPappy measures 8 by 8-1/2 inches. 4-0 out of 5 stars As a fryer....
I, too, bought this cooker at Target believing it was a fryer and was disappointed that the instructions noted it was NOT a fryer. Unable to find anything I liked better (the plastic machines seem flimsy and clunky), I took the advice of the last reviewer and tried it as a deep-fryer for tofu and eggrolls. It works! The thermostat seems reliable, and it heats up quickly enough. Plus, it's dishwasher-safe and nonstick. The only disappointments include the fry-basket, which isn't optimum for draining oil and is awkward to handle with a removable pinch-handle-- but I improvised with tongs. And it would be nice to have an airtight lid to store the oil-- but the glass one does just fine if you change the oil occasionally. As someone who usually avoids frying foods for health reasons, this little pot allows me to cook the few fried goods I'd normally go out for as well, or even better, than how I'd get them at a restaurant-- and it makes my "it-ain't-good-unless-it's-fried" husband feel like he's got a place in the kitchen.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this appliance
I have been using a Fry Daddy for a few years and wanted something that would go into the dishwasher. This is a great multi-cooker. I have the older version of the same appliance so I am using this one strictly as a deep fat fryer. The instructions said NOT to deep fry in it but it works just fine. I live alone and don't need something big and this is just the right size for me. It would be nice to have a plastic cover for it but I like the clear glass lid. The basket is okay also. I can use it in the older model as well. Cooking dried beans in it takes less time and electricity. Thanks, Presto!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Help for a Non-cook!
~I just got married and I have always been a horrible cook! We got this multi cooker as a wedding gift from Amazon.com and we LOVE it! I makes things so simple! Roasts are so easy to cook and they turn out perfect...so moist and flavorful! And you can do everything from browning to roasting in one pot so there are less dishes to do. Plus, the multi-cooker is much easier to clean than a crock pot. We've also made stews and enjoy the possibility of easy frying and steaming. Highly~~ recommended, especially for those who just have a tough time cooking (like me!)~

Amazon.com Review

Fried food is comfort food--think French fries, doughnuts, or shrimp tempura--and almost everyone craves it at some time or another. But it can be kind of messy to make at home. The Presto Dual Basket ProFry electric deep fryer is an easy-to-use, self-contained frying unit, so there's precious little mess. The lid has three sets of slots to accommodate the prongs of the fry basket--two for side-by-side frying and a central set for a one-basket batch—and it can stay on during the frying process to prevent spattering. A grease filter cuts down on the fine spray of oil that can occur with an open-top fryer. The Dual Basket ProFry fits easily on most kitchen countertops, and its neutral, no-nonsense look--gray matte aluminum with black accents--would not be out of place in a working professional kitchen or on a cooking show.

The removable enameled oil pot holds up to twelve cups of oil or six pounds of shortening, and can handle family-size batches of food. The large oblong baskets also accommodate large pieces of meat or fish. A thermostat dial knob allows the oil to be heated up to the optimum frying temperature of 375 degrees F; the immersion element helps recover oil temperature between batches. An indicator light to the left of the thermostat dial goes off when the oil has reached the desired temperature, usually taking about 10 minutes. The frying baskets each have two small hooks on the back that hang over the lip of the unit so that baskets and food can rest at a good angle for efficient draining. The power cord has a magnetic safety connection--if the unit is jostled during cooking, the cord will disconnect, shutting power off immediately. And there's an automatic shut-off function for overheating situations; a reset button in the back will reactivate the unit.

After frying, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before attempting to empty oil. (For more stability, lift the oil pot from opposite corners when removing to empty oil.) Wash the removable pot, fryer lid and frying basket (with removable handle) in warm water with mild detergent and a nonabrasive sponge or cloth, or in the dishwasher. The control assembly lifts out for cleaning. It is not immersible; wipe with a damp cloth to clean. The grease filter does not need to be replaced; it can be cleaned with a dish brush under warm running water. The Presto Dual Basket ProFry measures 14 by 14 by 11 inches (basket handles extend an additional 4 inches). Presto guarantees this product with a one-year limited warranty. WE.VE HAD THIS A SHORT TIME SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON THE DEPENDABILITY OF IT YET.
IT SEEMS TO BE KIND OF SLOW TO HEAT UP, BUT IT TAKES ABOUT 3 48 OUNCE BOTTLES OF OIL TO FILL IT.
THE OIL DEFINETLY GETS HOT ENOUGH, WHEN WE FIRST GOT IT , IT KEPT TRIPPING THE BREAKER ON THE UNIT. WE TRIED MORE OIL, LESS OIL BUT IT KEPT TRIPPING. SO FINALLY I GOT A THERMOMETER AND CHECKED TEMPERATURE AND FOUND THE OIL TO BE HOTTER THAN 375. SO I TURNED TO 350 SETTING CHECKED OIL TEMP AGAIN FOUND OIL TO BE AT 370 DEGREES, AND NO MORE TRIPPED BREAKERS.
IT IS EASY TO CLEAN EASY TO USE, YOU CAN COOK WITH LID ON OR OFF, THEY RECOMMEND OFF FOR CRISPIER RESULTS.
SO FAR I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM.
IF I SOUND RESERVED I DONT MEAN TO ITS JUST THAT WE HAVENT HAD A DEEP FRYER YET TO HOLD UP VERY WELL. THIS OUR 4TH DEEP FRYER AND EACH HAS BEEN A DIFFERENT NAME BRAND.

Plug in Presto’s PopLite and the party begins. The popper measures 14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches, and is identical to Presto’s Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper except for color and logo. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Popcorn maker!
This is a good poper for the price! it pops almost all the corn (it only leaves some if you don't put in 1/2 cup) that is the only thing i did not like about it you have to make 1/2 cup of corn every time but it makes a very larg bowl of corn!!! so it is a good poper and for around $15 at wal-mart it's a good deal too!

1-0 out of 5 stars Popcorn Blower not Popper
If you like about 40% of your popcorn kernels to pop into the bowl before they are popped then this is the machine for you. I got so aggravated with mine I threw it outside in the snow. As far as I'm concerned this machine should have never made it to manufacturing. It a piece of cr_p!

5-0 out of 5 stars Orville Redenbacher's Twin
The Presto Poplite Popper is the same as the (more expensive)Presto Orville Redenbacher's Popper. I emailed Presto. They said "Functionally there is no difference between the two corn poppers". So save some money and get the Poplite. This popper works awsome. It blows away my old air-popper. It pumps out the popcorn super fast, with very few unpopped kernals.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good overall
I got this for an engineering project, and I think it works pretty well. It pops about the same amount as a bag popcorn. But no oil was used (kinda tasteless because of this). But you can add butter on top of it. The only down side is that it doesn't have a switch so that when you plug it in, it starts to pop. I got it at Wal Mart of $14.99, so conside it's price and all, it's a pretty good product.
