A time-tested design updated with a rechargeable battery, the 7.2-volt Euro-Pro Shark cordless sweeper lets you clean both carpets and floors without the bulk and upkeep of a full-size vacuum. Built with a motorized brush roll, the cleaner sweeps up small and large debris into its generous dirt chamber. Suitable for floors, it can also be converted into a handheld unit for stairs and automobiles. Plus, it emits no exhaust or airborne particles, making it a handy tool for dust-sensitive users. Operating the Shark sweeper is easy--the functions are all straightforward and simple, and the brush roll features a view window so you can monitor what is being swept up. The window also snaps off for when you need to apply the bristles directly to baseboards and corners. The swivel head maneuvers well, and the sweeper features a very low profile for cleaning under furniture and shelving. It is also powerful, though the strong suction does make operation rather loud. Recharging the power head simply requires plugging in the included AC adapter. A full charge takes 16 to 20 hours and lasts 35 to 45 minutes, depending on type of use. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

 • Measures 11-1/4 by 8-1/4 inches at foot; weighs just 5 pounds
 • 7.2-volt rechargeable sweeper with motorized brush-roll system
 • Cleans bare floor and carpets; converts to handheld for stairs and cars
 • Swivel head for easy maneuverability and large-capacity dirt tray
 • Ideal for allergy sufferers; no exhaust odors or airborne dust particles

Forget the negative reviews if you have hardwood floors...this thing works great! My entire house is hardwood floors and I've tried several upright vacuums, and they ALL shoot stuff out of the back. The Shark never shoots anything out...and 99.9% of the time it picks everything up: from rice, coffee, dust-bunnies, crumbs, coins, potato chips...anything that other expensive vacuums I've tried can't. It's convenient to use, lightweight, it stays charged (which btw, when calibrating the battery, they suggest you charge/drain the battery twice. I've drained it once so far, and it ran for over 45 minutes). The swivel handle is great, and maneuvers like a steering wheel.

I even use this thing on the back porch to pick up leaves, berries, and stuff I don't feel like getting out the broom & dustpan for.

I don't think this machine is designed for heavy duty work, or not sure how it would perform on deep-pile carpet, but for my hardwood situation it's perfect!

Also, the little wheel for baseboards really works! It throws stuff right in front of the beeterbar to be consumed.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's a sweeper not a vacuum!!!!!!
I like this product, I was very sceptacle at first with the classic Info-mertial, but this sweeper can do its job everytime. After living in Europe for a while, one of the biggest selling household items were "electric" brooms, or Sweepers. So I can appretiate a sweeper like this, actually just like the info-mertioal. PLEASE DO NOT buy this to replace your carpet vacuum or you will end up just like the other people here with neg. feedback. If you have tile or hardwood floors this is definately for you, I'm sure It's even great for short "office type" carpet.

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS ONE
If I would have written a reivew immediately after purchasing, I would have given this sweeper 5 stars. It's great for quick pick ups and manuvers really well around corners and under tables. The problem is, as others have stated as well, the thing doesn't last. I've had mine for a few months and already the top part of the handle keeps separating from the rest of the unit (which I can live with). The worst problem is dealing with the company itself. My battery became so weak that I had to order a replacement directly from the company because no one else sells them. I thought $20 plus s&h for the battery was a bit steep for a $60 item, but I really liked the way it worked so I ordered. When I got the battery, it didn't work. I called customer service and they insisted it was my unit and I would have to send it to them for repair. I told them my unit still worked with the old battery that was weak. It didn't work at all with the new battery. I was so disgusted, I asked for a refund. I'd rather take it up with the store I bought it at or just buy a differnt sweeper. The response I got from 2 people was "we can't refund your money because you ordered it online. We only have records of those who order by phone." What kind of an answer is that? I went to the Shark website to oder and there isn't even a phone number on there to call, much less place an order. The only reason I even got the cust. serv. number is because it came with the directions on the battery. I ended up calling my credit card company and they gave me a credit and will dispute it for me with Shark/Euro Pro. I also went to the Better Business Bureau website and saw that this company has a ton of complaints against them. So, buy at your own risk. If you're lucky enough to get one that doesn't die on you or break after a few months, it's worth it. But, after reading some of the other reviews, it's unlikely that you'll get that lucky. Don't count on a helpful customer service department either. They will not help you.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT AS EXPECTED

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Little Sweeper
This sweeper is great. I read the reviews on this item and of course there were some bad ones, but I tried it anyway. This sweeper picks up everything. I have 3 dogs and it picks up all the hair no matter where it is (carpet or wood). I even picked up green beans on the floor (courtesy of my son). The only problem I had was the spinner on the side that gets near the wall. It got loose and started making a lot of noise so I easily removed it and it still works great. The easy access is also a BIG plus. I don't mind just grabbing it and doing a quick sweep. I was either going to buy this or the bissel sweeper. This one seems to pick up a lot more. I LOVE IT!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible
I saw this on TV and said to myself "I've got to have it." I did my research on the web, and stumbled upon mixed reviews -- some said they love it, others said they hate it. I ignored the bad reviews and decided that I'd seen too many "good" features not to try it -- and that decision has made the difference. High chairs, play saucers, kitchen tables, floors, cracks, crevices, bathrooms, faucets, doors, doorknobs ... if it's tough to clean, you can clean it. Read the directions. Make sure you follow up immediately with a terry cloth towel and you'll do great. Of course steam is hot, so don't do anything stupid. There's a lot of other products to compete with this one, but none that hold the amount of water the Shark does ... keep in mind if you don't want to make a lot of trips to the faucet. Happy Cleaning.

5-0 out of 5 stars SC505 Portable Steam Cleaner works fine was actually fun.
My 17 year career has been prototype design and mechanical evaluation, knowing thermodynamics and pressure vessels and .... and was sceptical as always - and noticed the solid heavy tank and relief valve heavy thread cap and thought "yes" this will provide the higher pressure and temperature - then I thought it will blow a fuse - nope - and it heats fast. Then I thought I'll burn myself - nope - no leaks - none. And I used the handle with my bare hands and was wiping the spots with a sponge in my other hand and rinsing it. If anyone wants a unit that can develop pressure and temperature and don't mind a couple of instructions - this unit delivers as promised - thanks for the info-mercial that is what convinced my scepticism and in real life - I can verify what I saw as true. I'll do the car engine in the spring, right now back to the baseboard fin-and-tube heaters and bathroom walls and floor yuck - you should have seen what came out of there - I'll wear a mask this round.

3-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product - for basic cleaning
If you just want to clear slight greasy stains from your stovetop or a few surface level moldy spots - then this is the product for you. Anything more than that - don't waste your time or $$.

Steam will run constant for only about 1 min., then you'll have to stop and wait about 10-20 secs. for the "green" light again. I found that annoying even for basic cleaning.

Accessories seemed very durable - although I didn't keep the product long enough test them out.

1-0 out of 5 stars Wha' happened?
Looking forward to using the Euro-Pro Deluxe Professional Steam Cleaner on this nice Fall day (September 21, 2004)...I filled it, plugged it in, had a time trying to get the steam to roll...checked the directions for help identifying the parts...absolutely nowhere does it say how to put the attachments together...There was no Unit concentrator nozzle (unless the one attached to the unit is it. I somehow managed to clean the shower grooves but nothing else before the darned handle split apart, leaving the trigger release lever and a small round black plastic thing on the floor (I think it is a peg to hold the handle together). I am very disappointed ... in both the steam cleaner and in myself for not trying it when it first arrived. This was a purchase from HSN and I've lost the paperwork, so bye-bye $100.00.
5-0 out of 5 stars what a deal
I became interested in this unit when I visited a local Target and saw the item. I went home and researched a bit further. After reading others reviews I decided that I'd try it. Dispite a few 1 and 2 star reviews this machine works great. Don't listen to the negative reviews. For all you others who are considering a steam clearner, this is it !!!! VERY SATISFIED ... 1-0 out of 5 stars It sucks in Indiana
My battery too dropped dead. This is a defective product at the design level.

1-0 out of 5 stars Fast Death
Aslong as it worked (5-6 months), it was great - powerful, light and very portable. Then it stoppend holding a charge. The manual is poor with vague instructions. There is no point in replacing the battery pack for 60% of the cost of the entire unit. I am going to try the corded version.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this product!
This unit is absolutely junk! After owning it for a couple months, the unit would not hold a charge. Euro-Pro said it needed a $30 battery replacement. After the battery was replaced, it STILL didn't work. My sister-in-law is having the same problems with the same model, and both of us will never buy a Euro-Pro/Shark product again. The company does not respond to complaint letters either!

1-0 out of 5 stars the new 15.6 volt
is there still the same problem with the new 15.6 volt as in the 14.4 volt shark

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible Battery Life! (my 2 cents)
I've had this vacuum for a little over 6 months - and have the same complaint as most other people on - the battery dies fast.

When it was new, I was really pleased with it - great suction power, easy to clean, lightweight and powerful. I live in a small 2-bedroom place in NYC, and this was just the right size to keep this place clean - anything bigger would take up too much space to stow. So, initially, I was all happy and sated with my choice. I bet the people who gave this product 5 stars are in this stage.

Then, after some time, the battery power kept dropping - even though I charged it as the instruction said, and tried to avoid the memory effect by going for a full discharge. Doesn't matter what I did - the power kept falling. Right now, I can run it for about 30 seconds before it stops completely.

Think about it - the vacuum costs $60 right now. The replacement battery costs $20, and the filters $10. That's half of what you paid already. If you have to keep replacing the battery every 3 months, I would suggest you look elsewhere - like one of the powerful canister vacuums, or even the Shark wired models.

Note: I am not complaining about the suction power of this model. When the batteries did work, suction was great - I'd have to say, as advertized. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great little vacuum
I love this vacuum, easy to use, "no dust emisions". It has great suction (better than most) and the suction is adjustable. I love it, I can even use it on my computer and curtains because you can adjust the suction. It is fairly light weight but found if I carry it for a while the strap hurts my shoulder.
The only problems I had was the carry strap kept slipping up onto the hose, fixed that by putting a rubber band there so it would stop the slippage. The cord is too short!-- I have to use anextension or I have to stop and unplug it constantly. The floor attachment that has a beater bar does not work good at all. I don't use that attachment any more. It slows down too much when placed on the floor or furniture, even with good suction.
It's a great vacuum if you don't expect it to clean carpeting like an upright. I highly reccommend this machine..

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this vacuum!!
I cannot believe so many have had so much trouble with this vac. The last one I had lasted a good three years. And that was three years of daily use and abuse. I used it to clean floors and rugs. Cat hair and litter and every day dirt. It only died recently after the motor died. I cannot complain about this vac. I have bought many over the years, and this is the best one I have ever bought. Just my opinion and experience.

2-0 out of 5 stars Terrible on carpet
I really hate the carpet attachment on this vacuum. The suction is not sufficent to make the brush spin very well on even short carpet. And I have to take the carpet attachment apart at least twice a month to clean all the junk out so that the brush will spin at all. On the other hand, if you have hard wood floors, and do not live in a huge place (the cord is not very long) it should be great for you.

1-0 out of 5 stars Another Angry Customer With Dirty Floors
I ordered in April, 03. Like other reviewers, my vacuum failed almost immediately. My diagnosis -- a short-circuit in the motor (if I'm right, a major quality control no-no). Sending good money after bad, I returned the vacuum according to the warranty instructions, including a check for $9.95 (why should I pay them for fixing their bad product? -- Go figure). I paid postage and insurance for the package. I also bought like $50 in vacuum bags before the vacuum failed. Now I've practically paid for a new vacuum. They never responded. All I have to show for it is a bunch of bags. The good news -- they didn't cash my check!

Why is Amazon still carrying this product?

1-0 out of 5 stars What a waste!
I registered for this vacuum for our wedding (1 1/2 years ago)because it was the only canister vacuum the stores I registered at carried. My husband had never had a canister vacuum and didn't like it at first. I defended the little vacuum as well as I could. It had great suction and I loved the attachments, but that stupid "air-powered" rotating brush would hardly turn once it met any resistance (i.e. carpet!!), even when it was brand new! Luckily we are renting, so we didn't end up ruining our own carpet by never really getting it clean. I used it to dust and clean up all over the house. I like that it's small and I love the retractable cord. But now I have to use the bare-floor tool for our carpet--it works better than that stupid rotating brush! I've stopped defending the dumb thing.
I also used it to vacuum out our car. It worked great for a while, but on a hot day, it suddenly turned off and wouldn't start for an entire day. And it's lost suction gradually, even with frequent emptying of the bag. Now it generates a soft summer breeze most of the time, but every once in a while I'm surprised when I turn it on and it nearly sucks itself to the floor. When that happens, I clean everything I can before I turn it off, because it's a rare phenomenon.
It generates an incredible amount of heat (very bad when we lived in Phoenix in the summer) and overheats on me frequently (even in snowy Utah).
All in all, it's absolutely horrible for carpet and completely unreliable. We're having a baby, so we want clean floors. That's why we're buying a new vacuum for Christmas. I wouldn't let my baby play on the dirty carpet the Shark leaves behind. One of my wedding guests paid alot of good money for that pile of junk, so we'll save the Shark for the cleaning the car and sucking the dust off of lamp shades. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Does a good job
For a small vacuum this model is quite powerful. I bought one since it was on sale at Sears and I needed a compact vacuum for my room. It is a bit noisy and not as "silent" as its name implies. Still, I used the turbo brush on my rug and it picked up dust and cat litter with ease. I only have a couple of strikes against it. Cat litter can be a pain to shake out of the hose, but I won't be having that problem anymore since I no longer have a cat at my house. The other problem is that cleaning the HEPA filter is a messy job and it needs regular replacing to retain peak performance. Otherwise this is a good vacuum for the price. I haven't been disappointed yet by Euro-Pro vacuums.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Suction!
I purchased the super shark recently and must say I was thrilled with its performance. I bought it to help clean up around the house with the dog hair and light dirt around the entry way but I have to say that I now use it all the time rather than dragging out the big vac. I used to have dog hair all over the couch and upholstery but this little vac is amazingly powerful and can grab that hair and get rid of it so easily! I am very pleased with my purchase. This is my first shark product, I am so happy with it ~ what a pleasure to buy something that not only meets your expectations but is even better! I will look for more shark products

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely FABULOUS
The difference between my old dirt devil handvac and the Silent Super Shark is almost unbelievable. I can't tell you how much I love this machine. It is so powerful and convenient I use my floor vacuum very little now. They are not kidding when they say it has 1.5 times the suction force of a regular floor vac. The 'silent' part is better than advertised, it's probably half as noisy as any other vacuum on the market. It's also very hard to clog the Shark, and handles any type of dust, dirt, or morsel with aplomb. Also, the turbo brush spins like a jet engine and is remarkable how well it works. I RECOMMEND this vacuum to ANYONE, don't buy anything else because I don't think there's a better model out there.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not what I needed-maintenance too high
The portability is great. Unfortunately, half-way up the stairs I have to empty the cup/clean the filter. Emptying the cup/filter causes a big mess. The unit just does not hold enough waste to be and effective vacuum.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice little vacuum for the price.
I have an older upright without all the fancy attachements and needed something to get into the tight spots in my apartment. Instead of spending upwards of 200 bucks on a new vacuum with attachments I opted for the $40 Super Shark at Best Buy - this has turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. The power cord is long enough where it can reach most of a room without having to move it around to various outlets. The hose attachment lets you leave the main unit on the floor and use the hose freehand. If anything the filter/dust cap gets dirty and clogged up fairly quickly so you need to clean it out often so you get proper airflow - not much different then changing out the lint filter in your dryer. A nice little unit. ... Read more

Designed for the tight corners of homes, automobiles, and RVs, the Shark handheld vacuum from Euro-Pro comes with cordless convenience and a range of uses. Rechargeable on the included base, the 9.6-volt vacuum has a slim structure, bagless design, and powerful suction--so powerful, in fact, that it is also louder than many other handhelds. Dirt collects in a dust cup that removes easily for emptying and includes a washable filter to trap tiny particles. The Shark's tapered shape ends in an oblong suction portal that measures 1-3/4 inches wide. A motorized power brush is also included for agitating and grooming upholstery and car mats. Both tools attach snugly and easily and store on the charging base between uses. 5-0 out of 5 stars great little machine
Pretty impressive cordless vac. Have had several through the years and this is by far the best. The suction is great for cleaning up the small messes we make. We use the small crevice tool a lot for corners and edges. Haven't used the other attachment, so have no comment on that. So far, we highly recommend it. ... Read more

Stealth is right—this small canister vacuum slips in under the radar screen and powerfully sucks up dirt and debris with 1300 watts of cyclonic action. Large particles don’t stand a chance against the air-driven turbo floor and carpet brushes, while the washable HEPA filter traps 99.97 percent of any allergens that try to sneak by. A bagless design means the plastic dust cup with handle removes easily and the bottom releases for emptying into a trash can. Automatic cord rewinding, on-board tool storage, and large wheels make this European-style vacuum even more pleasurable to use. --Ann Bieri ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Finally a good lightweight canister
I am glad that I bought the Shark Stealth canister which ended my canister vacuum research. I bought two other lightweight canisters (Bissell and Sanyo) recently and had to return them due to the malfunctioned parts and lack of suction/no suction power. Here are the pros and cons of Shark Stealth:

- Comes with turbo brush which helps pick up dust underneath the carpet and pet hair.
- Best suction among many canisters that I've tried.
- Light weight and easy to maneuver. The main unit basically follows me everywhere I vacuum without much pulling, a very amazing design compared with other canisters.
- Perfect brush size and rotating connector which allow me to vacuum underneath the bed and around almost all my furniture without having to move them.
- Easy to empty dust cup
- Retractable cord and on board attachments
- Easy to assemble (took just a minute from the time I opened the box to the time I started vacuuming)

- Cord is a bit short
- HEPA filter requires some effort to clean. (I used the attachment on my upright Hoover with bag to suck up the dust in the HEPA filter.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Greate vacuum in its price range
When it case to buying a vacuum cleaner, I was looking only for canister. This is partly influenced by my european background and by the fact that I live a small apartment. Looking for canister in US is a challenge, considering absolute domination of uprights; lookin for good canister is even harder.

I bought this vac after trying DirtDevil vacuum with HEPA filter, which was a big dissapointment, both in suction and absence of good carpet brush.

This vacuum picked up lots of dirt after DirtDevil! I was quite surprised. I don't know yet how this fellow will behave on maintanability front, but so far I consider this as a great buy!

As to troubles with cleaning HEPA filters: well, you have to pay the price for having a clear air! You will need to clean filter by "tapping" it after each use and also you will need to rinse all three filters roughtly once a month or two or when experience rediced suction power. Also you will probably need to carefully clean spinning brush from hairs after each use, but I'm sure this is true for all turbo/power brushes.

Pros: moderate price, turbo brush, terractable cable, very good suction, HEPA filtering, still handle, compact design.

Cons: you will need to change brushes going from a carpet to a bare floor, handle may be a bit short for really tall people (probably above 6 feet).

In short - I would absolutely recommend this vacuum for small-mid-sized appartments.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy from this company
I own this vacuum, but I haven't been able to use it for 8 months. The hose melted after it was placed next to a steam pipe (never a problem with Eureka Mighty-Mites) and I have been trying to get a replacement hose from Euro-Pro ever since. Their fulfillment company cannot help: they can only ship when the manufacturer provides them with inventory. I have 9 postcards stating that the item will be shipped in 3-4 weeks. This was my first purchase of a Euro-Pro product and I will never buy another.

4-0 out of 5 stars Find the one with the motorized power head!!! EP724M
After waking up another morning barely able to breathe (welcome to Texas!), I got a little obsessive and decided it was time for a new vacuum. After reading hundreds of online reviews, I decided my top 3 choices were... the Dyson Animal (2 cats) the Westinghouse 1551 (the original Fantom), and the Shark Pursuit. I eliminated the Dyson based on price and looked everywhere for the westinghouse... unfortunately I couldn't find any retailers who carried the product. I didn't want to order online because I wanted to be able to return the product if I didn't like it. so that left the Pursuit. Let me far as I can tell, the Pursuit and the Stealth are the same product. I brought my little canister home and started on the living room... I had to empty the canister at least 3 times! I was soooo pleased! :) The amount of hair I picked up was literally disgusting. But I was also encouraged and couldn't stop sucking up cat hair! It actually brought back the bright navy color in my fiance's couch! We had been talking about having it reupholstered but now it looks so much better I think we can put it off for a while... And I'm SURE we picked up hair from the previous owners' two dogs... we have been here 2 years. (!!!) I was disappointed, however, in how it worked on the floors... I wasn't altogether pleased with the floor tools. So I brought home the Pursuit upright and the Ultimate Roadster upright... both were great for the floors, but I couldn't get under the furniture and when I tried to clean the upholstery the hoses would contract and pull the main unit up against me. I guess it shows how great the suction is, but it's NOT exactly easy to use this way. SOOO... after even more searching, I found the greatest thing!!! Linen's and Things carries this product in their stores and online for $129.. WITH a MOTORIZED power head!!! it's GREAT!!! well worth the extra $30!!! NOW the floors get REALLY clean, and I can suck all the junk out of the upholstery too! YAY!!! So, here are the specifics for the model I'm keeping-- The Shark Pursuit canister, model number EP724M... The main unit is 10.3 amps and the power head (the floor brush) is 1.7 amps... still a total of 12 amps for cleaning the floors, slightly less for the above floor stuff, but I can't really tell the difference, and it's probably a good thing considering the suction power.

pros: -Cleans great! good little sucker, especially for the price!

-easy to maneuver

-my house smelled much fresher after using it, so I guess the HEPA filter is doing it's job....

-FABULOUS for cleaning upholstery, etc... I even sucked cat hair off the curtains (be careful!)

-the air powered turbobrush did get clogged alot, but since I bought the motorized powerhead I don't have to worry about that.

Cons-- I agree with everyone else, the filter is very difficult to clean... the dispenser somehow traps all the hair around the filter, so you have to reach in and pull everything out. I'm considering trying a few things, like waxing the inside of the canister, etc... to see if I can't get this resolved. I also plan on buying a second hepa filter at the suggestion of another reviewer and switching out so I'll always have a clean one. I also have been vacuuming the filter with my old hoover upright and that seems to help alot, too. PLUS, my upright uses hepa bags so the mites and yuck stay where they belong. (this vac was good for sucking dust, but not much else)

The cord is quite short, but I have lots of outlets so it's not a huge problem for me.

Doesn't come with the little pet hair turbobrush, but I found them to be incredibly noisy-painful even- I'm going to order one from another company (about $30)to see if theirs works better.

Somewhat inconsistent product quality-- I recommend buying local and if you have a problem with one exchange it for another one before you give up entirely. of the four I tried, one smelled funny when I turned it on... If I had decided on that one, I would have exchanged it.

OH! by the way... I started this project on Sunday, and Monday morning woke up much less congested..(even though we have a HEPA air purifier in the bedroom) Tuesday morning even better... looks like it's working! I think I'm going to vacuum the mattress again..... ;) byebye dust mites!!! ... Read more

This Euro-Pro Shark bagless vacuum is a lightweight canister model designed for regular cleaning and quick pick-ups. Suitable for most surfaces, the 1300-watt machine comes with a simple suction nozzle for hard floors and an air-driven turbo nozzle with agitator bristles for carpet. For upholstery, draperies, and ceilings, the Shark canister features a shoulder strap that eliminates awkward dragging. Dirt collects in a large, transparent dust cup that removes from the machine for emptying. An internal HEPA filter traps 99.97 percent of dust, pollen, and mold spores, and can be tapped or rinsed clean for regular maintenance. The vacuum’s chrome handle telescopes for height adjustment, and the flexible hose is ready to use with the included crevice tool and upholstery brush. Sizable wheels, chunky buttons, and automatic cord retraction make for nice features. Though not as heavy-duty or capacious as other canister models on the market, the Shark is a good match for anyone who likes a light vacuum, has hardwoods or low-pile carpets, and suffers from airborne allergens. --Emily Bedard ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A great little vac!
I selected this vacuum not even seeing a picture on the website, but it had the features I wanted and the price was right. When I received it, I was surprised at how light the box was. It's a nice, compact canister that moves around easily due to it's light weight and small size. You can even use the included strap to carry it on your shoulder. It does an excellent job on my hardwood floors and berber carpets! I love that it's bagless. The instructions say to tap the filter on the side of the trash can to get all the dust out, but i recommend doing this outside or all the dust will be airborn in the house. The HEPA filter is great, especially since I think my old vac blew as much dust into the air as it was taking in! Didn't sneeze once, which would've been typical before!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great performance for the money
I have owned this vacuum cleaner for about two months now. I live in a 1 bedroom apt (~600 sq ft). about half of our floors are loop berber and the other half are hardwood. The vacuum works well on both floor types. It has great suction power and is easy to use (i.e. haul around, turn, pull, push etc). It comes with a bare floor and a "self propelled" carpet brush attachment which work adequately. The vacuum is neatly designed. Futuristic looking almost, and the silver plastic and blue look very industrial and modern to me.

The top of the vacuum cleaner lifts to reveal the dust collection canister, and two small attachments for upholstery and for corners/hard to reach places. The small attachments are somewhat difficult to use since they are very small and do not cover a large enough area of the upholstery or furniture you are cleaning... this has not been a problem for me thus far since all the cloth covered surfaces in my house are washable. I estimate with practice you could meticulously vacuum a whole couch in about 20 minutes (???).

The filters are the only part of the vacuum cleaner that are both a blessing and a curse. They are HEPA filters which is great for allergy sufferers (like myself). There are three filters, which WILL get clogged relatively soon depending on your conditions. When we were doing some repairs in a wall collecting the drywall dust clogged the vacuum cleaner in one day, but this is not what it was designed for anyway. Tapping the filters can be annoying as small dust specs inevitably escape. Washing them is very easy. I reccomend buying an extra set of filters which you can wash and have ready while the others are in use... you can then just switch and replace. Nothing is more annoying than finding out your vacuum cleaner has no power when you have mustered teh will power to clean.

All in all a great buy at this price. From other products I have seen it should be pretty durable.

2-0 out of 5 stars Filter nightmare
Well so much for a vacuum with a lot of power, it does not have any if you do not clean the filter every time you vacuum four room house and no power of suction on carpet if you do thoses at last. Well not a good buy to my taste and by the way I am still looking for replacement filters....

1-0 out of 5 stars Get down on your knees and pray if you buy any Euro-Pro prod
Because the quality of their products are next-to-nothing. And heaven forbid you should want any customer service once your product has broken down! My Euro-pro cannister vac died after 4 years, and there is NO info on it on their site, their India call-center is entirely unhelpful and clueless, and no one ever answers the phone or returns a call from corporate HQ. They don't know the meaning of "customer service"! Stay away from Fantom products too, which have gone downhill since Euro-Pro/Shark bought them.

1-0 out of 5 stars Maybe In Euros it is a Pro- a Dog in Dollars
Did not appear at all sturdy right out of the box- I should have sent it back right away - cheaply made -good only for edge work w/o the head on the wand. With wand on, low suction. I pick stuff up more efficiently by hand. Tough to carry around - tougher to use as drag around canister floor unit. I really hate the thing. Sad waste of $99 . This thing is a real dog no matter what you see on TV demos or what anyone else says. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Gets the Dog Hair!
I bought this vacuum today--came with a free handheld. The handheld is tiny compared to others out there and just as (if not more) powerful. The upright: I did the kitchen floor and the bedroom (carpet). Initially I said it's a vacuum; it did what it should but I have a dog and much of fur had accumulated under the bed (clumped around the footposts); last week I had used my old vacuum (which went kaput when a dog toy got stuck in but that's a different story) and it could not make a dent in the accumulated dog fur. The shark picked it up like it was nothing. So as of now, I'm impressed. It's also very light and easy to maneuver and the headlight is brighter than others I've used.

1-0 out of 5 stars Another c leaner
I bought this vacuum Dec.03 used it once and the handle broke took it back to Target and they kindly replaced it. Haven't used it again since Jan.04 since my roomate has a very good vacuum.Well as soon as I try to use it the unit shuts down after only a couple of minutes of use. If I let it sit for an hour or so it will give a couple of minutes of service again. It is by far the most frustrating piece of junk I have ever purchased. I just wish I had the forsight to get a differnt one when the handle broke in Jan. Even though it has only been used a couple of times I have owned to long to take back. I would never recomend or buy anything made by this company again!

1-0 out of 5 stars This vac really sucks
This is the worst vac I have ever owned. I have had the Shark for 2 week it just stops working every 5-10 minutes and then you have to wait for 1 hour to start again. The suction is not what's advertised I have to vacuum the same area 2-3 time before it clean. I switched from a Hoover cyclone bagless...I have learned my lesson and am buying another Hoover.

1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst!
I bought this vacuum recently at Best Buy because I saw the advertisements on TV that made it seem great. It turned out to be opposite of the commercials. This vacuum is poorly built and appears to be fragile, not made to last. When the agitator is turned on, it makes a very loud sound that over powers the sound of the vacuum motor itself. Within minutes of the 1st use, it began to make a strong burning plastic smell. I returned it within 24 hours of purchase and bought a Eureka 4885 which is far superior. Overall, this Euro-Pro is not even worth twenty bucks. Vacuums that cost $60 will easily out perform this vacuum. Stay away from it unless you want to deal with the hassle of returning it. ... A hand vacuum with weak suction is no more than clutter. That’s why the Euro-Pro Mini Turbo Shark vacuum packs a lot of bite into its diminutive form. With 400 watts of power, the unit delivers a surprising amount of suction, so it’s a great tool to have on hand in the kitchen, garage, shop, or office. It makes quick work of dry spills and debris and can also be used for dusting in nooks and crannies with the included attachments. One thing to note: 400 watts of power does come at a price, and this hand vacuum is no kitten. The sound is not especially unpleasant--it’s just loud--but you probably won’t be able to crank it on if the baby is sleeping.

Easy to manipulate, the vacuum has a comfortable handle and a simple rocker power switch. The bagless dirt collection cup pops off easily for emptying, and the interior filter is washable. Conversion to attachment cleaning is also straightforward--the flexible hose, crevice tool, and brush fit snugly into the Shark’s oval mouth. About the size of a youth football, the hand vac measures 8-1/4 inches long, nose to tail, and stands 5-1/2 inches high and 3-3/4 inches wide. 5-0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive, light duty vacuum
I purchased this vacuum as part of a package deal with Amazon. It works fine for doing a quick vacuum job in a car, or picking up Goldfish cracker bits in the carpet. For the price, it's worth it. Don't expect to use this to pick up chunks of dirt or marbles...get an upright or canister vac for that.

5-0 out of 5 stars It does its job for a reasonable price
I got this vacuum for $4.99 while it's on sale at, my intention to get this vacuum was not for cleaning the whole house but for car or minor dirt at corners. I tried it and the suction power is very strong. I have two dogs at home and their hair is everywhere, this vacuum surprised me because sometimes a $39.99 vacuum does not even suck the hair like this one does. For those who think this vacuum sucks, my suggestion is: if you want to 'clean' the carpet thoroughly, get a $200 vacuum, not this mini vacuum, this mini is not intended to clean big area.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it!
Ok, so I only paid $1.00, intended to give it to my Mom for her car, & I was not expecting much because I have the larger shark which is cumbersome due to the shoulder strap.. I ended up using myself in the bathroom to tidy up the kitty litter bits that get sprinkled on the floor and in the corners....It worked wonderfully, and have since used it to catch dust bunnies and for quick touch ups....It has become my favorite tool...So, no, it does not replace a regular size vacuum, look elsewhere for large jobs...This does exactly what it was designed for...
Unfortunately, I would like to have another one, & it is no longer in stock on website...

5-0 out of 5 stars this is definitely worth the money!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Euro-Pro Shark customer service stinks
I bought this iron at Target and after a few months I am having problems with the iron. It leaks water and the water stains my clothes. I went to their website the only place to get some information to see how I can correct this problem or to contact this manufacturer and the site does not reconize the model number EP480. They don't a phone number where to call and now I don't where to get service since it's been a few months the store can't do nothing. I wasted $54.

2-0 out of 5 stars Euro-Pro Shark Professional Iron
I liked the weight of this iron (too many are too light and do not get wrinkles out or iron a sharp crease) and I liked the padded handle. Especially I like the very long cord.
However, the heat dial is under the handle and extremely difficult to see, and because the window for water level is blue, it too is difficult to see.

5-0 out of 5 stars Packs a punch at a great price
For $49.99, there is little competition that offers the same feature set. It's got the smooth stainless steel plate, excellent build, and powerful steaming and heating capabilities. And you don't need distilled water. There isn't much that a $150 iron can do better than this one.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good iron but a few problems...
We enjoy this but:
The steam button sometimes does not come up after it is pressed.
The automatic shut-off cannot be over-ridden by tipping the iron as specified in the manual.
It does make a strange smell and occasionally spit out small white pieces even though we broke it in as specified.
This is still a good iron: the cord is very long and it gets good and hot (we use the hottest as we iron mostly cotton clothes.)

1-0 out of 5 stars Inferior Product
I have found this iron to be a hazard and I have found this company to be impossible to deal with. A customer service representative hung up on me when I politely asked to speak to a supervisor in August (I bought the iron in February). This iron is actually dangerous when it spits water everywhere. Furthermore, it has ruined some expensive linen clothing of mine. I actually have tried two of these, returning one to the store where I bought it. The second iron had all the problems as the first one. The Euro Pro company requires the customer to spend his own money to return the product for repair and then to pay another $9.50 to have it returned from them. This is another $15.00 or $20.00 on top of the $50.00+ that one pays for the iron. I sent a certified letter to them over a month ago (at the cost of $4.42) which explained my problems and my desire for a refund -- not a repaired iron or another iron. They received that letter one month ago and have ignored me completely. In addition to spitting water everywhere, this iron leaks water constantly and shuts down in the middle of my ironing -- not just when it is left unattended. I would not use one of these irons if it were given to me. ... Read more

The canistermeasures just 14 by 9 by 9 inches and weighs about 10 pounds, lightenough to be carried around by its shoulder strap for cleaningfurniture, shelves, drapes, and lampshades. For vacuuming bare floors, carpets, and rugs while tagging along on its two wheels, the vacuumcomes with a 10-1/2-inch-wide nozzle and two extension tubes. Thenozzle/tube assembly connects to a curved wand extending from aflexible hose that attaches to the air-intake duct. Two otherattachments are included: a dust brush and crevice tool.

The large, transparent dust cup easily unlocks from the canister foremptying. The dust cup has a detachable filter that can be washed whenit clogs. A button on the vacuum's top automatically retracts the17-foot power cord when pressed with foot or thumb, and the vacuum canthen be stored either upright or flat. Either way, there is a methodfor locking the nozzle/tube assembly to the canister, and theattachments then slip onto posts attached to the tubes. The vacuumcarries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars overheating deaths
I purchased these items through the t.v. specials. Very nicely priced and perfect for my space and cleaning needs. BIG PROBLEM:
The first one died on me after five uses doing minor cleaning - mostly cleaning stairs and cleaning out my car. I only had it about almost a year. It overheated, shut off and died on me. I started using the other one that I used for upstairs which had more use - light rug cleaning and use to suck out air out the travel and storage packing bags. That one also overheated, and shut off. No resusitation. Perfect little easily manageable and effective vaccums , but for.....I want these repaired at least, but found it difficult to get contact information to see if this can be done. After this investment of hard earned cash and with now "surplus hoses, brushes, etc.", which I will E-BAY. I won't buy another of these. I am seriously considering a small Eureka or Miele portable after this experience. My slightly larger compact Eureka from my apartment days lasted five years. I still have it but it has lost most of the suction power. But at least I got my my money's worth. It was seventy dollars at the time. FRUSTRATING!

1-0 out of 5 stars WORST PURCHASE I EVER MADE

4-0 out of 5 stars This little guy has power!
I love this thing! I throw it over my shoulder and head down the stairs and continue from the carpeted areas to the hard wood floors without having to switch anything. My old Hoover (an upright) was great, but it was so bulky when it came to vacuuming the carpeted stairs. This is not bulky and there are no bags to worry about!

4-0 out of 5 stars Does Good Job Sucking Dead Bugs Out of the Window Sills
It's not for carpet. Don't even think about getting this to solve a dog hair problem unless you have hard floors only. However, for those pesky little corner jobs, window sills, light fixtures, inside drawers, it can't be beat. Very light weight but lots of sucking power. Here are some of the things it has taken care of:

1. Dead oriental lady bugs (the biting kind) in the window sill

2. Cobwebs and general ickiness from the track of the sliding door

3. a jar of little screws I knocked over and didn't have time to pick up by hand before company was arriving.

4. Cat litter (excellent job on this)

5. Dog food

This little vacuum and a good upright model should take care of most of your vacuuming needs.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good on floors, bad on carpets.
As advertised, this vacuum has fairly good suction. However, since there is no agitator it doesn't work well at all on carpets. It does do a pretty decent job on floors though.

I purchased it to use in an apartment I had to live for a long-term work project so I was looking for something inexpensive. This fit the bill. When I get back to the house I think this will make an excellent car vacuum.

As mentioned by the other reviewers, it does get very hot but it hasn't shut itself off on me...yet. ... Read more

Designed for minor household spills, dusty work areas, and dirty cars, the Euro-Pro rechargeable hand vacuum packs solid suction in a tidy package. A 4.8-volt machine, the vacuum is both slim and lightweight, not to mention unfettered by a pesky cord. Charge it overnight on the included wall-mount charging stand, and it’s ready to go. The vacuum has a handy tapered suction portal and comes with a built-in crevice tool for especially tight spots. Dirt collects in a dust cup that pops off for easy emptying. While transparent dust cups are somewhat handier, the sleek silver design of this model makes up for the minor inconvenience of not being able to see inside. The dust cup also includes a cloth filter to trap small particles. It can be rinsed clean for regular maintenance. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars No Bite to this Shark!
Based on my satisfaction with my handheld (corded) Shark Euro Pro, I got this for cleaning up the small messes left in the wake of my three cats. Was I ever disappointed. This cordless vac picks up . . . nothing! Not dry crumbs of catfood, not litter, not little pieces of paper . . . NOTHING! Fortunately, I "purchased" this with a bonus gift certificate I received after buying another product, so I didn't waste my money. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOURS, EITHER!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars No power!
This vaccuum has no power. I charge it for a day or so, and get less than a minute of suction out of it before it begins to wear down. And even at full power, it doesn't pick up much of the dirt on my floor. I suggest splurging a little and buying something that actually works, even if it's a little more expensive, because this one is just a waste of your 20 bucks.

1-0 out of 5 stars poor quality
I got these in a local store 3 weeks ago. The silver coating peeled at first use. Not to say that it is limited in cleaning power, now it takes forever to recharge. I leave it on the charger as suggested in the manual, but now charging it for one whole day lasts me 30 seconds. These are cheap for a reason. They turn into a piece of junk before you know it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Look elsewhere
Works well for about a minute on a full charge. After 2 minutes, flow is so low that you could pick the dust up faster than this thing sucks it up. BTW, this is with a brand new filter.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not very powerful, but it is ok.
It is convenient to use and charge, although not that powerful as higher voltage hand wireless vaccum. ... Read more

Quiet is the operative word for this vacuum. Nevertheless, the 12-amp quiet performance motor is impressively powerful, and will pick up amazing quantities of dust and dirt you didn’t think you had. Allergy sufferers know how thoroughly the HEPA filter traps pollen, dust, and other allergens. The upright’s 13-inch power head features a light so you can see under couches and in dark corners, while its height adjusts for different thicknesses of carpet. Stored on board, the accessories include a 3-foot extension wand, 7-foot stretch hose, and a dusting brush for drapes and windowsills. A convenient carry handle and 30-foot power cord allow good accessibility to all rooms in the house. Best of all, the dust container unlatches and empties right into the trash, meaning no more bags to buy or change ever again. --Ann Bieri ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
First of all, if I could have given it no stars I would have.
Second, it overheats and shuts down CONSTANTLY.
Third, if you have pets, it is always clogged.
Fourth, The customer service is non-existant.

I will never buy a Euro-pro product again. To echo another review, I don't know how they are still in business.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible Vacuum!!!
This vacuum cleaner overheats and shuts down after 5 minutes of use. It takes me hours to complete vacuuming my apartment ( I can't even imagine having to vacuum a whole house with this useless contraption ). I dread having to use it and have to plan times when I can vacuum a few feet (or until it overheats) and then go back to it later. The belt just broke and now I'm having a hard time finding replacement belts to buy...they don't sell them on their website. I will NEVER buy a Shark product again. I'm surprised these people are still in business!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY THIS JUNK
I've had the vacuum 6 months, three of which is worked and three of which I've been waiting for a replacement of the spinning brush. It's currently on backorder which means that a lot of people are having the same problem. The website is impossible to find and if you call them they are absolutely helpless! We finally broke down and bought another vacuum. Try Eureka, they're excellent.

2-0 out of 5 stars I found a belt at sears
My belt broke also and i bought a sears brand replacement belt for a kenmore vac. It is belt number 5287 for upright vacs. You will have to pull a little to fit it on but it works just like new. You get two belts for $4 and some change. You can buy it from also.

1-0 out of 5 stars belt broke
I bought this crappy vac two months ago and the belt broke last week. I can not find a replacement one and the website is trash and customer service is lost in this topic of helping customers. Stay away from this piece of junk. ... Read more

The motorized rolling brush attachment for this hand-held vacuum works wonders at removing pet hair from car seats and mats, as well as from upholstery inside the house. A smaller brush delicately dusts lampshades, drapes, and blinds, while a crevice tool reaches into corners and along windowsills. The hand vac also cleans dry floor spills. Weighing 3.5 pounds, the vacuum feels well-balanced and is easy to use with its no-slip grip and thumb-operated on/off switch. High-capacity for extra-long running time, the 9.6-volt battery pack recharges for cordless use. Convenient features include an LED charging light, a dust-cup filter that easily detaches and washes clean, and a storage stand that keeps the vacuum and accessories organized. A latch releases the dirt holder, allowing it to be emptied, rinsed if necessary, and readied for the next clean-up job. --Ann Bieri ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars waste of money
This vacuum doesn't do anything. You are throwing money out the drain. It has virtually no suction. If it does manage to clean something up, the filter gets clogged in 2 seconds. Thus you spend more time emptying out the canister than vacuuming.

1-0 out of 5 stars This shark bites!
This is, quite possibly, the biggest waste of money ever. I purchased this vacuum after my hard-wood floors were refinished to keep then nice and clean. The first use must be after 24 hours of charging so I waited. The first use was ok. The battery ran out quickly (less than 15 minutes) and the attachment kept falling off. This was the best experience I ever had with this piece 'o junk. Later the battery life got even shorter, the attachments dared me to use them and the attachment with the spinning bristles stopped working altogether. I was so mad! My husband took it apart and was able to get it working again, but it still wouldn't stay attached. I finally solved my problem by buying a new vacuum. I now own one awesome vacuum and one great doorstop. If you are bent on getting this vacuum then you should just mail the money directly to me. You would be far less frustrated. Try the Bissell butler revoloution instead, I did. ... Read more
