Amazon.com Review

This professional mandoline slicer for slicing and shredding potatoes and other vegetables comes with everything you need: a 4-quart stainless-steel bowl, a plastic storage lid, four interchangeable cutting blade cartridges, and a cutting slide with a safety guard. Just slide in the cartridge you need--thin slice, thick slice, julienne (1/8-inch), or french-fry cutter (1/4-inch)--press the safety guard with sharp prongs onto the end of the vegetable, and slice away. The safety guard rests on side rails over the blade so your hand can't slip, and the entire cutting slide apparatus snaps onto the top of the bowl. The stainless-steel bowl has four rubber grippers underneath so it won't slide while you're slicing. Pop the plastic storage lid on top and put leftovers in the fridge. Every part of the mandoline slicer, including the cutting blades, is dishwasher-safe. Lifetime limited warranty. --Doree Armstrong ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
I bought this thinking I wouldn't have to julienne veggies by hand any more. Ha! The julienne blade shreds so fine I may as well use my grater(which would be a lot safer).

Also, the tips of the julienne blade and the french fry blade are raised above the stationary blade when slotted into place(very dangerous). This then cuts through the top of the veggie not yet sliced, leaving an uneven mess in the bowl when I continue.

All of the inserts stick when inserted and are hard to remove; I ended up covering it with a towel and pulling it up and down really hard(that's an accident waiting to happen).

The slicing inserts work okay if you absolutely must have uniform slices(with firm fresh veg only), but I'll probably go back to using my knife.

The prongs on the handle don't secure all veggies very well and I found myself slicing some vegetables without it(not a good habit to get into).

I like that the bowl comes with a lid, this I'll probably use more than the mandoline, unless I find a recipe that calls for shaved zucchini slices!

3-0 out of 5 stars Too "Gadgety" for me.....
I bought this because a friend said she "loved her mandoline slicer." Well, I've used this 3 times in the last year. It's very large to store in a small kitchen. The large bowl has a fitted lid for convenient storage (cut veggies in the morning, cook in the evening). I also don't really bother with the blade storage unit--I just put everything into the bowl and cover it with the lid, although the black handled cutting blade and the lid do not fit over each other. I ether have to put the cutting blade on top of the lid or leave the lid off.

Like another reviewer, I also had trouble removing the blade from the unit, and worried that I'd slice off my finger. I finally figured it out, though. I julienned zucchini, but got a large tangled mass of green. Carrots were hard to put in the holder (I suppose large carrots would work?). It's not designed to cut veggies lengthwise--I always have trouble with the grip sliding or shredding my veggies before it gets to the cutting blade. Sometimes perfectly matched circles just aren't what I'm looking for in my food.

I like my santoku knife much better. I have less clutter on my prep counter and less stuff to wash. The mandoline might be faster if I got used to it, but I don't mind spending the extra minute to cut veggies by hand.

4-0 out of 5 stars learning to Pay the mandolin was qick and easy
Most of the Mandolins that I have seen were rectanguar and do not have their own stainless steel bowl as this one does.It very easy you simply take one of the cutters from the compact holder where they are kept and simply put it the slot where it goes sliding it forward untill it stops and then make sure the little button on top of it snaps in place it stops the blade sliding back with the veggie you are trying to make perfect lttle slots or slices of for your guests.

We like to take a sweet potatou and make very thin pieces with the steel cutter and quickly stir fry them in a litte olive oil
Like with all "Gadgets'You have to use a litte common sense and if you have an ugly veggie that you are trying to make pretty dish wih then you will have take a medium but very sharp knife but, please handle it safely ,and maybe do a little strightening so the unit will pass through the Mandolin. You can prepair a large or small amount of food very quickly. But Allwys remember when you start getting down to small amounts you must slip on the pusher handle or you will be giving youself a very quick manicure or worse. Everyone who has seen mine in action or eaten the results goes crazy for one-and you cant beat the price!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not sure
Cleans easily and does make uniform cuts after a bit of practice. I found holding the bowl on a table (rather than up on a counter) and pushing down a bit harder on the plunger helps. One thing I would like is the ability to get additional blades for thinner slices, etc. I have not been able to find any for this unit. You are stuck with what came with the unit, but for thinner slices I end up using a knife.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent value
I got this slicer some time ago, used it once, and had the same negative reaction of a lot of the posters here. The blades are viciously sharp and fitting them into place can be tricky. The pronged holder is awkward to use, but don't use it and you risk injury. I shoved it into a cabinet and forgot about it.

Then a few days ago I decided to make scalloped potatoes following instructions in one of Laurie Colwin's books and I didn't want to get out the food processor. This mandoline worked great and now I love it.

Here's my version of the recipe: Peel as many medium-sized russet potatoes as there are people eating this, plus one. Fill the bowl of the mandoline with water, and slice the potatoes using the thick slicer; drain. In a *nonstick* pot, boil the potato slices in a mixture of water and milk to cover (all milk, or milk and cream, makes this richer). Add garlic if you like - I use the pre-minced stuff in the jar. Boil until tender - 10-15 minutes. If you taste them, they should be mostly cooked. Salt to taste. Ladle potatoes with some of the cooking liquid into a casserole and bake in a hot oven (temp doesn't really matter - if you're cooking something else at the same time at anywhere from 350-425 degrees, stick in the potatoes) for 20 minutes (time is not exact either). Then add a topping: I used breadcrumbs (panko actually) sauteed in butter, cooled a bit and mixed with shredded cheese. I topped the potatoes and put it under the broiler for a couple of minutes. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars easy to use and less of a mess
I prefer a box grater to the flat or hand-held models. They are so much easier to use and create less of a mess if you have limited counter space to work with or are trying to get semi-exact measurments. Plus they are great with kids - my two girls love to help out with the cooking and take their job of cheese grating VERY seriously. It's so much easier to clean up after their 'help' if their work can be isolated to various containers. ... Read more

In Italian, "mezzaluna" means "half moon," and the curved shape of this incredible chopper echoes the moon's shape in the midpoint of its cycle. Its extremely sharp blades make quick work of vegetables, meats, and hard cheeses, and are ideal for dicing leafy herbs. Hold the mezzaluna firmly by the black knobs and, with a rolling motion, seesaw the blades over a thick slice of onion or a pile of fresh cilantro. You can chop as roughly or dice as finely as you choose. To protect the blades and your fingers, keep the protective plastic sleeve the mezzaluna arrives in. --Dana Van Nest ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Quick, ergonomic, non-electric chopping
My grandmother swore by one of these rocker-shaped knives for doing nuts and other fine chopping. I have one, and I use it a lot for mushrooms, nuts and herbs. Having said how great it is, I have to add some caveats:

1. It's sharp, yeah, I know, duh! But...food gets caught between the two blades and it's tempting to run a finger in there to push it out. Well, don't. Keep a spatula or chopstick handy to push out anything caught there.

2. You really should use a concave sort of chopping board if you can find one. While a flat plastic chopping board works just fine, a curved board makes chopping easier.

3. Some things just aren't good for this knife: dryish but not TOO hard things (nuts, celery, etc) work best. The wetter the food, the more it sticks. Even so, I do use this for chopped chicken livers. But for nuts, it's about my favorite knife to use.

3-0 out of 5 stars Well, it's decent, but there's more versatile designs.
It's good for mincing, and the form is a nice take on the half-moon design. However, an ulu would be better. It's single blade, but is good for slicing and shearing as well as mincing. This can only do mincing, due to it's handle design and blades.
Personally, I prefer a tool with more function, like an ulu. Can't beat a design that's been used for thousands of years (for a good reason...)

4-0 out of 5 stars Slice 'em Dice 'em With Ease
I love anything Italian and have been known to attempt soul-searching arias (my apologies Senors Pavorati et Bocelli) as I cook in the kitchen. And if I have this half-moon delight in my hands, rocking back and forth rhythmically over large sweet onions--I blame the orbs, not my vocal chords, for the tears.

On the serious side, the dual stainless steel blades on this particular mezzaluna by Hoffritz make it extremely quick for all chopping and dicing needs. Caution is definitely needed regarding how sharp those hard working blades are. I strongly do not recommend allowing young ones near it. Note: due to blades, make sure to choose a durable cutting surface.

Mezzaluna is a beautiful Italian word and as a tool, makes a great addition to your kitchen. I was very surprised at how easily it handles even large wedges of veggies, thanks to the well-designed knob handles. It's perfect for creating spicy salsas, stir-fry samplings, and even sausage crumblings for pizza toppings.

A perfect gift at a good price for anyone who truly enjoys cooking.

3-0 out of 5 stars great name!

Looking for a way to eliminate kitchen gadgets? Throw out the ones--like electric can openers--that use up more room and energy than the job requires. After all, if it's a good one, a manual can opener is perfectly suited for the work. This model easily fits the bill and isn't bad to look at either. I love this can opener. It works great for left or right handed people. It is really tough and heavy duty. I might buy another one in case this ever breaks, but I don't think it would be necessary. My husband likes it because it will chew through anything in seconds. It cuts like butter, and has a big gear and a good grip. The handles are nice and big so you can get a good grip on it, and it has a bottle opener on the top, which works great. I keep it in my favorite kitchen drawer.

When I first bought this product, I loved it. I'm a lefty and it's difficult finding a can opener which is easy to use and I was very satisfied for the first few months. However, after a few months of use, it got rusty and was difficult to use. I was very surprised because I always believed Hoffritz had food quality products

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST kitchen product purchase I have made!
This can opener is wonderful! It is very sharp so it opens cans so easily. Also, since it is all stainless, it can be cleaned in the dishwasher, which is the real reason I purchased it. When I my father used at my house he had to buy one for himself. I had been through two of the new "safe" can openers-one was manual which broke after a month or so of use and the other was an electric one which won't open but a few types of cans. So don't waste your money on those types. This can opener will be the last one you will need for a long time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally!
My family and I are so tired of manual can openers that bend down lids of cans and don't cut them. Most hand held can openers hurt your fingers too. Finally here is one that does not hurt your hands and cuts lids off easily. I just wish it were not quite so heavy as frail hands might find it hard to hold. It looks nifty too!

1-0 out of 5 stars More of an ATOMIZER for perfume than an oil MISTER
Hoffritz sent me this tiny oil mister as replacement for a full sized plastic mister that sprayed oil under pressure, but also leaked from the bottom. The original plastic product had a base that pumped air into the oil chamber and was sold under the name of 'Farberware'. I found this confusing, since 'Hoffritz' was the name on the warrantee pamphlet. When I called Hoffritz to ask for replacement of the defective product, I was treated as if I was being crooked for attempting to return a product that they presumed was no longer being sold. I live on a small island where general merchandise tends to sell slower, but still... no matter when or how long ago they manufactured it, defective is defective all the same, and my warrantee started from the date I purchased it under a 1 year warrantee of merchantability.

The replacement was a big disappointment since they sent only one small atomizer (about 1/3 the size of the original product and worth about 1/3 the cost of the replaced item) that shoots out a solid stream of oil, rather than a spray. The use for this product is limited, and nothing like those I've used in the past. I've owned far better stainless steel pump spritzers that hold a lot more oil, and actually spray a fine mist. I would never pay for this product, and will forever avoid doing business with Hoffritz now knowing how they treat customers with legitimate complaints for returns. If I could have given it a 0 star rating, I would have.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing product
I am very disappointed with this product. I purchased this oil set because they looked really nice and the Editorial review said that it worked as a mister. When I received the product I immediately tried it out. The first few "sprays" the oil just squirted out in a steady stream, and after a few tries it would spray out with large droplets, not a fine mist. Not at all what I had expected. It works well to add a little bit of oil to a pan, but that's what I have a squeeze bottle for. If you are looking for something pretty to use while oiling your pans while cooking, this product will work for you. But if you are looking for something to grease your cake pans or lightly coat food with oil, this product will not work well. I will be returning mine and trying the Misto one intead.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice looking, but...
I read the Misto reviews here on Amazon, and also saw that Cook's Magazine was not impressed with the Misto brand oil sprayer. I wanted something that would work better than Misto and would still not cost a fortune; knowing that Hoffritz makes fine quality kitchen items spurred me to order this "Gourmet Oil Set". I looked on the web and on the hoffritz.com site for additional info on the set, but didn't find anything beyond what's here on the Amazon website - not much.

Today, I received the package, and looked inside - there were the three sprayers pictured and the base, along with 12 labels that could be used to identify the contents of the sprayers. I did not locate any information or directions for the sprayers. The sprayer will stand on a counter without the base.

I immediately filled one of the bottles with light olive oil, the oil that we use most. What I quickly discovered is that this set of sprayers is completely unlike a number of the other oil sprayers on the market, and do not require any "priming", or removal of a cap to create air pressure, you just press the button under the cap with your finger, much like any other spray can or bottle, and the contents come out, in an almost straight stream, with essentially no "mist". While this can be pretty useful for measuring a small amount of oil into a pan for cooking, it again does NOT "mist" out. For uses other than oiling a pan, like coating the surface of a chicken that you'd like to oil before cooking, it is pretty clumsy, streaming out of the sprayer with a fair amount of force, possibly splashing back, and certainly requiring a brush ( or similar ) to even the coating of oil after spraying.

All in all, a nice looking, but somewhat expensive set of small standard spray bottles - Good for what they are, but did not fill the need I had hoped they would.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for every cook.
The Hoffritz Stainless Steel Gourmet Oil Set is a must have for every cook. It will save you time and money. You can add your own favorite oils. Make your own blends. I may be using it wrong, but I don't like the curve surface. Maybe it would work better for soft cheese (maybe that's what it's intended for), but we grate Romano at the table, and this grater does not work well -- not enough surface area, so you have to grate longer. 4-0 out of 5 stars a great little gadget
This tool is great. You MUST use plastic wrap to avoid a mess! This gadget got pork loin cutlets so thin and beautiful that rolling them around a stuffing was a pleasure not a chore! And if anyone know a hunter, it makes venison steaks fantastic! It is small so it stores nicely and fits well into the dishwasher. It is well weighted so it feels good in your hand when using it. It is easy to control, unlike the big, bulky mallet types. Give it a try, for the price, you can't beat it!

4-0 out of 5 stars A nice piece of tool.
Well I followed advise from the other reviewers and covered the meat with plastic wraps so that there's no mess at all and result is great. I'd like it better if they rotate the handle by 90 degrees so that the flat side rest in my hand.

4-0 out of 5 stars What a mess!
Absolutely, positively do not use this tenderizer without something covering the meat. It works fabulously but I tried it without covering (I hadn't read the other reviews) and I, my counters, refrigerator, etc, we're splattered tremendously!! Just an FYI.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great tenderizer...
This tenderizer, with a rubberized mallet that feels comfortably heavy, works well and feels good in your hands. To prevent splattering, I suggest that you put the meat between two pieces of plastic wrap or in a plastic Ziploc bag. That also keeps the tenderizer relatively clean.

Enjoy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Idea for a starter
This is a great gadget, but a bit messy! I wouldn't want to be without it and would surely love to see it improved. Wish someone would come up with an electric or hand cranked tenderizer with teeth on opposing sides that steaks, chops, etc. can be processed through without splattering the walls, cabinets, and anything sitting on them! The three larger cups have additional measurement markings on the side for even more versatility and precision when preparing any recipe, from banana nut bread to chicken à la king. 5-0 out of 5 stars A must for every cook
After searching high and low for a gift for my Mother in law, we stumbled across these cups in a high end cooking supply store, wanting to get them, but astonished at the price 50% more than amazon, i came searching for them. These are high quality stainless steel, the measurements are exact, and the one piece design (handles pressed out of the same peice) make these more durable than those with sodered handles. They are still going strong in her kithcen (after a year of heavy use) i hope this company will make the odd measures too, so i can let her add them to her collection !! ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Hard cheeses are odd in that the thinner they're sliced, the more flavorful they are. And while it might not seem so, thinly slicing cheese is a difficult task. Cheese planes, in one smooth stroke, take the guesswork out of how to achieve the perfectly sliced piece of cheese. This model has a very satisfying, 2-1/4-inch-long blade and a solid, brushed steel handle that makes the instrument easy to grasp and use. An eyelet at the handle's end allows for convenient, hanging storage. --Sally Bergesen ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Cut Hard Cheese!
When used on semi-soft and semi-hard cheeses (such as mozzarella or cheddar), the performance of this cheese plane is comparable to similar (and much cheaper) instruments. However, where the Hoffritz truly shines is in the arena of hard cheeses. From the stubborn pecorino romano to the crumbly parmesan reggiano, this tool tames them all. Effortlessly peeling off perfectly formed curlicues of dairy goodness with its exceedingly sharp stainless steel blade, the Hoffritz cheese plane is an ideal kitchen aid for those who enjoy the sharp taste of a nice, aged, hard cheese. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars A big dissapointment
If you're of Italian heritage and you grate a lot of cheese, don't waste your time with this one. When the quantity of cheese in the grater gets low, it tends to be very difficult to turn. It also didn't last as long as I expected. Try a different one instead.

2-0 out of 5 stars Sorry I bought it
This grater is fine when you can get it to work, but most often the handle doesn't screw in correctly and you can't get it to. It's mostly a waste of time, though the concept is a great one. I'd recommend trying maybe a stainless steel one instead of this plastic one.

1-0 out of 5 stars Easy to turn, but try getting your cheese out
I bought this product in a mall-store, but had to leave my comments here. It is easy to turn and fits comfortably in your hands, but I've found that the cheese (as it is grated) jams up inside the tube instead of falling out as you go the way it ought to. This means you have to dig the grated cheese out with a knife or fork, and then you don't have shreds of cheese, you have jammed up chunks of cheese shreds.

Stainless rotary graters do require more hand strength, but they get the job done much better than this one does.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not all it's cracked up to be
This grater is not a convenience, it's more of a punishment. I have tried it for hash browns, cheese, chocolate, etc. I thought at first I was using it incorrectly, but then realized, there really is no wrong way of using this. Everytime I have used it it has caused me so much pain in my hands that I would rather do it the old fashioned way and just grate the cheese manually. My fingers and hands ache so bad that I can't even hold a pencil after using this gadget. I would not recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately, you have to rate this with 1 being the lowest star, but in reality I give it NO STARS!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Be Careful
This is a good product and grates cheese well, but be careful. Although it says that this grater is dishwasher-safe, mine warped in the dishwasher and doesn't work anymore. It works well, even on softer cheeses like cheddar, just make sure to wash it by hand. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Dough maybe, Ice Cream - definately not!
This scoop is attractively made and appears to be of high quality. However, the handle snapped away from the scoop after about a dozen servings and the ice cream wasn't even rock hard. I'd suggest looking at one of the other scoops and pass on this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars It fell apart the first time I tried to use it.
This must be the worst ice cream scoop I have ever seen. It actually fell apart - one of the parts fell off - before I could ever finish scooping the first scoop. I would advise that you do not waste your time with this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super Scooper!

Cookie dough and pie crust dough should prepare to be soundly flattened when they encounter this substantial rolling pin. Hoffritz products are designed by a team of engineers who combine their ideas with those of a state-of-the-art computer workstation to develop the best products that they (and artificial intelligence) can imagine. Here, the result is a stainless-steel pin weighted so that dough rolls out smoothly. The pin's satin finish is designed to keep dough from clinging to it. 3-0 out of 5 stars Hefty, yes...
I have mixed feelings about my rolling pin. The weight of it is certainly substantial enough to flatten dough. I do find that the dough often sticks to the metal, but flour won't. I spend half the time peeling my dough off of the pin. If the dough is the right temperature, and maybe if you refrigerate the pin, you may have a better time than I did. I do love the fact that it can be hung out of the way, because it is large. Overall, I will sometimes still grab my old fashioned wooden rolling pin. It may take a little more effort, but it can sometimes be less aggrivating. ... Read more

If your recipe calls for crushed garlic and you dislike handling garlic barehanded, this garlic press will enable you to process "the stinking rose" easily and efficiently. 4-0 out of 5 stars WORKS GREAT, BUT...
I love this garlic press! It presses garlic like nobodies business and the price is right too. I gave it 4 stars instead 5 because of it can wear out and brake quickly, especially if you use it a lot. But for it's reliability, I recommend that you buy a few of them to keep on hand, just in case.

4-0 out of 5 stars Ok, but....
While I'm generally happy with the Hoffritz, I do want to report two problems that I've encountered with it.

The third or fourth time I washed it in my dishwasher, the steel pin that goes through the hinge and holds the whole thing together fell out! Luckily, the pin was not inhaled into the dishwasher's mechanism and I was able to recover it. I hammered it back into place (its a friction fit) and it has behaved itself ever since, but I check it now every time I wash it.

Also, every time I press a clove of garlic, quite a bit of it squeezes up around the plunger rather than down through the sieve. This is the first and only garlic press I've ever owned, so I don't know if they all do this, and it certainly isn't a big problem, but it bears mentioning.

On the positive side, I agree with the other reviewers. It does a nice job, is hefty and substantial, and is easy to clean.

But keep an eye on that pin!

5-0 out of 5 stars functional, sleek, solid
This product does what it purports to do. Seems sure that it will hold up better than cheap aluminum presses I've bought in the past. Storage of the cleaning tool is a wonderful thing -- I bought this press because I lost the cleaning tool from my previous press (different brand). I trust the Hoffritz name.

5-0 out of 5 stars You'll Never Buy Another Garlic Press!
I have to say I have been through several garlic presses in the past 9 years; it seems that they wear out fast, break easily, or just mash the garlic into one hard, juiceless piece. You can tell this garlic press is sturdy the first time you hold it. It is very easy to clean and you get a very high yield of minced garlic out of every squeeze! I highly recommend this garlic press for any garlic lover's kitchen. It'll be the last garlic press you'll ever buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and easy clean up
This is a great garlic press! I have used more expensive models before and this one does the job just as well. Some garlic presses simply pulverize the clove and make it difficult to clean. This is both effective for minced-like garlic and easy clean up. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Possibly the best!
As the designated "Apple Pie" girl at family parties I know the sticky annoyance of chopping 5 lbs of apples! Most apple corers/peelers either leave some of the core still in the apple, and slice them into tiny bits! This cored is nice and sharp and easily cores the entire apple. No need to go back and pick out the missed core. It's also nice because it doesn't slice for you. Those things look nice but if you want an apple pie instead of an apple sause pie...go with this one! Hoffiritz makes exceptionally good products! Get thier bow peeler to go with this! They are a must have!

5-0 out of 5 stars Handy utensil
Very good for cutting thin or thick slices of any cheese, including softer cheese. Easier to cut thin slices with this knife than using a wire slicer, and it can go in the dishwasher. It is hard to believe the higher priced brands can do the job better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Now I can cut my cheese and (almost) eat it, too!
Hi, I'm Frank, and I'll be doin' this here product review while my good buddy Zaggy hits the tank for this week's big arenaball contest. Today I'm gonna talk about this really cool-looking cheese knife that I got as a gag gift. What's the gag, you ask? Well, you see, I have trouble digesting dairy products, especially cheese, which means I can't have any. Um, cheese that is. Not an ounce of brie, a smidgeon of edam, nor a gram of gouda can pass my lips without me havin' to pay the consequences the followin' day. It can be a nightmarish existence at times, y'know?

You might think that my inability to ingest that forbidden fromage would discourage me from using this cool piece of dairy cutlery. Well, that would be the farthest thing from the truth, 'cuz even though I can't eat the cheese, I sure as heck can cut it pretty good! Yep, this little guy goes right through the Philly and American singles slices like nobody else's business! Okay, so it takes a bit more work to saw through the harder cheeses (such as cheddar and swiss)-- but the results are more than worth the effort! And the two spikes at the end are really good for stabbin' a cube of camembert, and then flingin' it across the room with a good flick of the wrist! Ah, the fun I have with cheese, even though I can't eat it...

Another cool thing I like about this knife are those big ol' holes in the middle of the blade. Not only do these voids minimize wind drag and help lighten things up, they're also good to have if you want to hang the implement up on your wall! Gee, what won't they think up next...

G'Bye

5-0 out of 5 stars Great buy
Great for small cheese blocks, for large blocks of cheese you will need a longer blade. This blade is too short for a 4-5 lb. loaf of cheese, there is not enough blade for leverage.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT!
