Amazon.com Review

This multipurpose tool created a stir in the kitchen when it came out, as the food processor did a generation earlier. In order to blend, whip, and chop smaller amounts of ingredients, it's no longer necessary to wrestle with bulky appliances. Immerse the 7-1/2-inch blender shaft, with its little blade on the end, into a pot where vegetables have been simmering, press the switch, and in seconds a creamy soup appears--with no need to dump everything into a big blender. Blend sauces and baby foods in their cooking pots, too. Blend a milk shake or juice drink right in its drinking container, or in the 2-1/2-cup beaker included in this set. Whipping cream and egg whites is just as convenient: a 5-inch whisk attaches to the motor when the blender is removed. For chopping nuts, herbs, garlic, or onions, there's a 2-cup chopper bowl with a special blade. The motor with the attached blender shaft can be mounted on a wall (mount included). Everything but the motor and the chopper-bowl top (both should be wiped with a damp cloth) can go into the dishwasher. This tool is more than handy, it's a revolution. The instruction sheet, unfortunately, is harder to comprehend than the tool is to use. --Fred Brack ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What a Godsend!
No, I'm not kidding. This handy little guy has saved me counter space, time and cleaning up. I am able to make cakes, muffins, great tasting pure fruit juices in an instant. I thought that this little gadget wouldn't be able to live up to its promise, but it's proved me wrong. I bought it out of desperation, after my Moulinex broke down. The first thought in my head was "what about counter space?" Well, Mr. Braun made sure he left nothing out. Because of his great mind, the device comes with a wall mounting so you don't have to clutter your counter with clumsy top-heavy things.

I read in a review for this product that it doesn't last. What could possibly be wrong with this when you need to chop something really fast? Like any normal person, I use the device, clean it and put it away. Simple as that! You can even go as far as using it and putting it back in the box. That is what I did up til the time the wall mount was set up.

Now I can watch my weight, drink homemade milkshakes, and chop away at those tear jerking onions without shedding a single tear.
And, when I'm done, I just rinse everything in the sink and clip it back onto the wall til the next time.
No more fuss having to make the perfect omelet either. With the handy wire whisk, you'll have a nice fluffy omelet in no time.

Watch out for how much pressure you apply to the speed accelerator button, because you may find your cake mix blending in pretty well with the paint on your wall. In that case, avoid using a shallow bowl. Use a deeper mixing bowl, bigger than the size recommended for your ingredients.

Happy cooking! Hope my review helped you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Powerful gadget with no Mess!
These days it's hard to really brag about a product, especially something as silly as a blender. Well, here I am, ready to brag about it. Just received it today, and I was very impressed with its performance. I work out almost every day, and I need to be consuming about 3 large shakes a day. I use to stir about 2 cups of powder and milk for about 3-4 minutes each time I had to make a shake. Every single time, since the shake had to be super thick, I'd get nasty big CLUMPS all over, it was a disaster and something I never looked forward to. This gadget, however, is a gift sent from god I tell ya! Less than 10 seconds ( no exaggeration) and the thing just turned into liquid, CLUMPFREE, it tasted so damn good. BUT, yes there's a BUT... the BEST part was that it only took another fifteen seconds to clean!... Cleaning blenders three times a day everyday could be a nightmare, but with this gadget it's a beautiful thing. If you need a blender everyday this is for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Detachable system works the best
I've had a Braun one-piece hand blender for about 12-15 years that has worked very well. My wife saw this model somewhere and bought it for me for one simple reason: I was always complaining about the non-detachable model being dangerous if you left it pluged in.

Since the blades are exposed, any pressing of the button will chop anything in its path, and that includes fingers. Now, with the new model, it can stay pluged in and safe, since it stays detached until use (at least in my case). Of course, none of this speaks to this thing being much easier to clean than the previous one. I detach after use, run under hot water, then place on a paper towel to dry. If I'm in a hurry, I just drop in a water-filled glass in the sink and deal with it later. It doesn't stain, even with blueberries, so there isn't a need to deal with it immediately. However, I would not recommend putting this in the dishwasher. There's no need to and the prolonged heat might damage it. That's just my suspicion. At any rate, cleaning the old one required attention to it immediately after use.

Anyway, I use this thing almost daily for protein shakes (smoothies). I'm considering a smoothie maker since I want something to make in the morning and have made for several more shakes during the day. However, even with a smoothie maker, I'll still use this Braun blender on stuff that would create a mess in the smoothie machine. For example, one shake I make with protein powder, milk, a few small ice cubes and peanut butter. I swear that tastes just like a melted Blizzard from Dairy Queen, for those of you that have had them. You would NOT want to make anything with Peanut butter in a smoothie maker or blender. With the Braun, its a snap!

2-0 out of 5 stars Trust me, it's not worth it.
I was initially very happy with this blender. I probably used it no more than twice a week for fairly low-powered jobs like making pesto and blending soup. 14 months after purchase, the motor just died, literally in mid-blend. I thought it had gotten overheated and left it for a couple of days. No luck. It was fully dead, and so was the 1-year warranty.

So I called Braun. I admit I was hoping they would offer to give me a replacement motor unit. Nope. I asked about repair, but apparently, nobody fixes things anymore. Nor do they offer recycling. What they do offer is a heavy pitch to buy a whole new Braun blender set, even if all the attachments for your old one is perfectly fine. I had to argue with them for 15 minutes before they decided that they would just let me buy a new motor unit off of them for $20.

A week later I got a box from Braun with... a whole new set of attachments. Not the motor unit. Needless to say, I'm never buying another Braun product again. If somebody wants the used attachments (whisk, chopper, blender, smoothie container), they're yours.

5-0 out of 5 stars love this!!

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!
At a friend's suggestion I recently bought the Braun Multiquick Professional Hand Blender. I wasn't sure about spending so much on a piece of kitchen equipment I had always lived without... but I finally decided to take the leap of faith. I couldn't be happier with the product! It's easy to use and easy to clean. It makes fantastic creamed soups. Because of the metal blending shaft, you can use this hand blender right in the pot of whatever you're cooking (thus saving you from the chore of cleaning another container!). I recently made a very inexpensive and delicious soup with onions, zucchini, eggplant, water, Thai curry paste and a can of coconut milk. I blended it with my hand blender and created a very rich-tasting, filling soup for pennies! Now that Autumn has arrived, I'm looking forward to making pumpkin soup with my hand blender! If you're considering the purchase, just go for it! I don't think you will be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Design Ever
Our old stick blender died and though I didn't use it very often, it was indispensible for certain tasks such as smoothing tomato sauces. When I went searching for a replacement, I was lucky enough to find and choose this one.

Now I'm using it every single day because the interchangable design makes it so easy to clean. The motor stays dry and plugged into the wall while the business end detaches and goes to the sink for a quick and easy rinse.

No fumbling with the cord. No gymnastics at the sink with a stick that's too long to get under the faucet. No worrying about getting the wrong parts wet. No tomato stains on white plastic - this wand is stainless steel. Ten seconds and it's done and ready to go again. Contrast this with my traditional Kitchen-Aid blender which has a 3-part lid, glass body, 2 rubber gaskets, a plastic base, and the blender teeth to clean. It's no contest. In addition, the shape of the wand head does effectively cut down on the spalshing. When it's running there is a strong suction effect which holds it down to the bottom of the container you are mixing in.

Is it perfect? No. The head at the end of the wand is a little too broad for many containers. I doubt I'll ever have use for the ice crusher. The anti-splash design does sometimes prevent the full quantity of food from cycling through, so you need to either tilt it slightly or simply move it around instead of leaving it in one spot. The metal wand might cause scratches in non-stick cookware if not used gingerly. Some of the attachments collect water if you try to clean them in the dishwasher. But these complaints are nitpicky. It does its core job very well.

The bottom line is that here is an appliance that doesn't cause you more work in cleaning than it saves you in doing its job. It's a joy to be able to mix up a mocha malt frappuccino in under a minute, not have to pay $tarbuck$ an arm and a leg for it, and have the blender clean before you even start to drink it. On that basis alone, it has almost paid for itself already.

5-0 out of 5 stars Why did I wait so long to buy this?
I love to cook but am not enamoured of "gadgets". Indeed, I gave a way a food processor after less than a year because I actually prefer using a first class knife and doing things the hard way! But, I make all of my own soups and for years went through the messy process of using an old Sunbeam blender, transferring the hot liquid from saucepan to blender and back again - yuck! No more! What a delight to use this machine is - easy, clean and simple to operate and excellent results for my soups. Soup on the table in 25 minutes! Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Machine
I saw this machine at amazon.com because I was searching for a hand held blender to mash up my fruit to make my jams with. I saw this particular model and thought it would be great to have. The price was a bit high and I fought with myself for a few days on if I should buy it or not. My father had bought me a hand held blender for a house warming present when I moved into my first apartment and I used it till it died. I was looking for a good replacement. I finally after a few days ordered it. I had it delivered 2nd day and it came on the 2nd day. I opened the box and immediatley started to use it. I have to say that I have used it to mash strawberries, apricots, bananas, grapes, apples and many other fruits right in the pan and in a few seconds. I have used all the accessories for many different things. I use the large container for making drinks, shakes, and for large portions of nuts to be chopped. The smaller one is great for a cup or so of ingredients. Both the small and large containers have a rubber base that double as a lid when you want to cover the container (I am having a slight problem with the base staying on the large container bottom though, once I lift the container the base will stay on the counter). I used the wisk and beaker for homemade mayo, and salsa and they turned out great. I thought for sure that the ice crusher wouldnt work that great but I was wrong it did work and crushed quite a bit of ice about 3 cups or so. The stand was great too. I installed it on the wall and when I am done using the blender I place it back into the stand. I keep it plugged in at all times and it is just hanging there ready to be used. I have only had this machine for about a month now so I am sure I will be using it for other things as well. It is a great buy and I am very happy with this purchase. The machine is very powerful, easy to clean, and all parts are dishwasher safe. I strongly recommend this product to others.

5-0 out of 5 stars No kitchen complete without one
This is hands-down the handiest machine you'll ever have in the kitchen. I've had for more than 10 years and it's still going strong. I use it weekly at minimum. It's small, light and easy to handle, Cleans in seconds and ready for the next use.

You'll use this for everything. ... Read more

Equipped with an exceptionally powerful 280-watt motor, this versatile appliance is a combination hand mixer and hand blender. For mixing, beating, and whipping, there are two cunningly designed beaters that produce volume while reducing splashing. For kneading, there's a strong dough hook, and for blending, there's an attachment that can be used in the accompanying 2-cup container (or any container) for small jobs like salad dressings. For chopping, the power unit attaches to another container with its own blades to make quick work of nuts, onions, hard cheeses, herbs, garlic, and meats. (The container's base serves as a snap-on plastic lid for storage.) The mixer/blender has three speeds and a power-pulse button for working through tough jobs. It stands upright on a nonskid base, and its power cord pivots to stay out of the way or can be locked in place. This appliance carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A must have in any kitchen!
My former roommate had this mixer when we lived together, and we used it all the time, especially for making salsa and smoothies. This unit takes the place of about 5 other appliances! I was in the market for a mini food processor, but after rediscovering this now I don't need one! It is also extremely easy to clean, and you should keep the box for storage-makes it a lot easier to put away. I can't say enough about this Braun Multimix!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome product!
I had a Black & Decker hand mixer, which was underpowered and tended to splatter. I also ha a Black & Decker food processor, where cleanup was messy and food tended to stick to the sides of the bowl, resulting in a lot of waste.
The Braun M880 mixer attachments feature a unique design which eliminates or minimizes splatter. An onion did not stick to the bowl of the chopper attachment and came out very uniform and finely chopped. I was able to knead dough for a pizza with ease. The amount of power in the blender attachment surprised me at first, tending to create a suction effect and drew the blender toward the bottom of the pot when I blended some tomatoes. The tomatoes also came out very uniform and nicely pureed.
I've replaced two tools with one and have added functionality.
Overall, this is an excellent product with a very clever design.

4-0 out of 5 stars Multiple Attachments Make This A Winner
I've used this little mixer more in the past couple of weeks than I ever used my stand mixer in ten years. It is so convenient to use, and it's small enough for easy storage.

The chopper attachment is powerful and the cleanup is easy. I've used it for all sorts of veggies, and even minced fresh ginger in it. Fresh salsa was a breeze and SO much better than store bought.

The stick blender works great. The motor is so powerful that you actually get a suction effect on the bottom of the bowl. The mixer is also powerful--it handled a cake mix with ease.

I would have given it five stars, but I thought (from reading another review) that it came with a wall mount to hang it. This does not come with a wall mount, so storage isn't quite as convenient as I had hoped.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this multimixer
I have had my braun multimixer for about 8 years. I received it as a wedding gift and I have worked this thing very hard. I make these fabulous cookies twice a year that have destroyed my stand mixer and yet this little braun multimix has done the job for the last 5 years. Finally the motor gave out, but after what I put it through for the last 8 years, it deserves retirement and I'm buying another one just like it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works so great I bought a second one as a backup...
I do not understand the bad reviews...I read this was the quietest mixer and boy it is! I works great and the design is real handy. The drink mixer tool works great for hot choclate, mixing and grinding items for salad dressing and puree of soup. I have had none of the problems others with low reviews give. This is top notch and I find when I locate a great product at a great price I buy a backup because one day I may wear out the one I have. ... Read more

Braun's Multiquick Professional improves on an appliance that's already highly convenient. With a 400-watt motor, this updated hand blender has increased power for faster and better results. A dial on the top of the handle allows you to select from five different blending speeds, giving you more control over the consistency of your purées. A turbo button on the front of the handle lets you immediately switch up to the highest blending speed. The hand-blender attachment has a unique blade that offers smoother and more even blending, making it ideal for puréeing fruit shakes, soups, or homemade baby food. In addition, the hand-blender shaft has an innovative antisplashing design that prevents food from splattering on your kitchen walls during blending. Other included attachments are a minifood processor with an antislip bottom for chopping foods such as herbs, onions, or meats and a whisk for whipping egg whites, cake batter, or cream. The set also comes with a tall lidded beaker that is a convenient shape for blending smoothies and for storing leftovers, and a wall holder for storage. 5-0 out of 5 stars Worth its weight in gold.... no platinum
I have been using an older version of this Braun for more than a year, and I can say that it is the best money I have ever spent on a kitchen item, and perhaps the best under [$$$] I have ever spent on anything. I have all the kitchen tools, most professional level, and all the garage tools that anyone could want, but for my money this is the real deal. Spend the extra for this professional model and you will not be disappointed. The extra power is well worth the extra $$. It is amazing. Clean up is so quick and easy and it does about everything. I even started using mine as a juicer when my old juicer broke. In a tall container, throw in some chopped carrots, a banana, protein powder, and some Silk soy milk, and 2 mins. later you have ecstasy. I have done away with my blender, chopper, etc. And for whipping, I no longer create the big clean up mess with my KitchenAid. I even take this item with me when I travel since I wind up cooking wherever I visit. That is how much I love this product. I have no affiliation with the company, by the way.

4-0 out of 5 stars Powerful gadget
I am very impressed with the heftiness and solid build of this stick blender. I have another Braun, much smaller, which now feels like a toy compared to this one. Time to retire the little, less powerful one. I also like the size of the food chopper - it is much bigger than the mini choppers that are in the market. You can easily put in all the ingredients for salsa or guacamole, and chop it all in one chopping session, rather than chop little portions as you would in a mini chopper. Much easier than hauling down the food processor. Great in-between size.

The ONLY reason I give this item 4 stars (would have given it 4.5, if I could have) is that it is much bigger than I had expected, and as another reviewer mentioned, the "base" of the stick blender is quite wide (2-7/8 inches in diameter) and therefore, does not fit most drinking glasses. Solution to this: use the included beaker then pour into the glasses. On the other hand, it is really nice to have the wider base for puree'ing soups - makes your job much faster, especially with its power. The whisk I really don't have a use for, much faster and less clumsy to use a hand whisk. But hey, it is still an added bonus.

2-0 out of 5 stars Trust me, it's not worth it.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT UNIT
the blender performs flawlessly. as a stick blender, it draws the soup down into the pot allowing the user to move it up and down without splatters. I'm all done with putting bowls and beaters into the freezer for whipped cream..just pour the cream, sugar and vanilla into the included container and it's one minute to stiff peaks. Chopper works well on spices, nuts, and cheese and everything cleans right up

5-0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Hand Blender
After much disappointment from another cheap piece, finally the one that works like a magic.
Powerful, quiet and versatile.
Definitely rewards you back for your money. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Much smaller than your traditional blender, this handheld stick blender is compact and easy to store in a small kitchen. Additionally, it saves you the time and effort of cleaning up a blender pitcher as the Quick Prep lets you blend right in your soup pot, mixing bowl, or glass. The powerful motor has two speeds for the best blending results: low is perfect for milk shakes, pancake batter, dips, and dressings, while high works better for baby food, soups, and whipped cream. An ergonomically designed handle provides a comfortable hold for long blending jobs and the brushed chrome finish gives the blender a sleek look for a contemporary kitchen. After use, the blade end easily rinses and wipes clean and the lengthy 5-foot cord wraps around the unit for storage. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great for blending, terrible for whipping cream
The blender feature of this is excellent (5 stars)... it does not splash what you are mixing out onto the counter. It is also quiet and the two speeds are great.

The down sides are:

1). It does an extremely poor job (one star) of whipping small quantities of whipping cream. Models with a separate 'whip' attachment are better suited for whipping small quantities of cream. The enclosed recipe calls for a cup, and under a cup just won't work, so technically it does exactly what it says it will. Other models with a separate whip can whip < 1/4 cup of cream easily.

2). This is one-piece tool and cannot be put in the dishwasher.

5-0 out of 5 stars Efficient and easy
This is a nifty little item! I bought it to make a quick smoothie or blended drink and it was fast and easy to use. The cup included is OK but I just use the glass I'm going to drink from. Less to wash. It struggles a bit with frozen strawberries and I think ice cubes would really dull the blade in a hurry. But for most anything else it's great. I'll use it next time I make split pea soup to help with smooth consistancy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for spot blending
Spot blending? Yes, indeed. I do quite a bit of cooking and this little appliance has really been handy. It will whip cream, in small amounts, without having to get out the stand mixer and clean all the attachments. It blends soups right on the stovetop, no more ladeling hot potato leek soup into the blender. It does not seem to do well for whipping egg whites. It quickly blends milkshakes (I haven't used it on anything completely frozen) and stores in a drawer out of the way. Rinses clean after use, and no worries about removing sharp blades to clean. Yes, this is a very nice treat to have in the kitchen, and I think it would make a great gift! ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Reach for this versatile tool when a stand blender or food processor is too big or inconvenient for the task at hand. And when you do, you won't drag a power cord along, because this powerful, 16-1/2-inch hand blender operates on rechargeable batteries. Fully charged, it runs for about 15 minutes before needing recharging. Then just detach the charger handle and plug it directly into a wall socket. Other virtues of this blender, which goes to food rather than needing food to be brought to it, include a rubber finger grip so your hand doesn't slip when wet; an on/off button on top of charger handle for thumb operation; a dishwasher-safe, detachable blending shaft; a separate attachment for quickly whipping cream or desserts; a counter stand or wall mount for storage; and a 2-cup, dishwasher- and microwave-safe beaker. Clear instructions and recipes accompany the blender. --Fred Brack ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Handy little "boat motor"
I recently got one of these, primarily to make cream soups, but you can use it for anything you would use a regular blender for. I have used it for many things. I had one of the oldest models that ever came out (another popular brand), so was able to compare the power of this new one to the old one I had bought almost 15 years ago. There is no comparison. This little gadget is so handy and powerful. It protects your pans or bowls with the plastic feet and whips up whatever you want blended in a jiffy. It works better than a regular blender, but not as well as a food processor. But, what the heck? There isn't near the cleanup involved either. Just remove the blade end and run under hot water and your job is done! The battery has held out for the job every time I use it, so the "no cord" feature has proved to be not only handy, but also acceptable. My only complaint is that you must depress the run button all the time. An on/off switch would be more convenient. No serious cook should be without one of these!

2-0 out of 5 stars Great idea, poor design
I like using this blender for smoothies and whipping cream. Its a little awkward to hold but was very handy as my old kitchen had few outlets. But after a few months its a hassle. Water, or some liquid has gotten into the shaft containing the blade - I can hear it when I shake it but I can't get it out. I'm wondering if whatever is up in there is getting into food. The plug for recharging the motor section jammed and will not fully extend, so to recharge I have to use an extension cord or that component just about falls out of the outlet. Frankly, I'm fed up with Cuisinart. I just moved and was surprised to be chucking a toaster and a coffee maker - both with little use. This hand blender will likely soon follow.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great product until it stopped working
Had this indispensable item for less than two years when it died. Worked well one day; seemed to be recharging but was totally dead the next day. Three year warranty, but you have to pay postage both ways (they require you to send $7 with the defunct product).

1-0 out of 5 stars very disappointing
I bought this blender primarily because it was cordless and would therefore be easier and safer to use. But its performance has been very disappointing. The battery does not hold a charge well; the motor dies after just a few seconds. It's hard to hold down the power button for very long. And the stick is just too tall; I have to hold my arms up too high over whatever I'm trying to blend. I bought this at full price ($75) a year ago, and it was a waste of money. I'm going out to buy another model that has a cord and is more comfortable to use.

2-0 out of 5 stars okay, but....
We initially LOVED this, purchased because of very good luck with Cuisinart food processor, and the fact that it's cordless. It's incredibly tall, so won't stand up assembled in vintage kitchens. Also very easy cleanup. We really used it a LOT for whipping cream, smoothies and pureeing soups and sauces. Then the down sides came-tomato sauce stains the plastic housing. Motor had problems with frozen fruit for smoothies. Retracting/extending plug to recharge was not the smoothest. Battery life dropped dramatically. It became unreliable, then one day less than a year after we bought it, it just...died. I'm going back to the corded versions, and will just move the pot. Not worth the sacrifice in motor power, IMO. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

If your espresso maker doesn’t froth milk, you can still make creamy lattes and cappuccinos with this hand-held frother from BonJour. Simply insert the stainless-steel wire disc into a tall glass one-third full of cold milk (the health conscious will be pleased to know that nonfat milk works best), press and hold the on button, and in seconds the milk will froth to more than twice its volume. The milk can then be heated in a microwave and the espresso or coffee added. A wire stand keeps the frother handily located and displayed--its ergonomically designed handle with non-slip accents is quite eye-catching. Measuring 10 inches in overall length, the frother requires two AA batteries (not included), and should be washed gently by hand. --Ann Bieri ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Primo?
Poorly designed. Stirring rod is not removable for cleaning. Installing batteries is a major challenge if you do not have good dexterity. In fact, I damaged mine installing the batteries (which are not included). If you can overlook those shortcomings, it does work. Given the hefty price and sleak appearance, I will have to call it "junque." ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What you need for blending protein and vitamin powders
I have had my sturdy Braun blender for years. I use it to mix protein drinks right in the "jar" or to smooth out a lumpy gravy when I forget to use a whisk.

Most chefs have one of these tools to make smooth sauces and creamy rich gravies. Definately a must have in the modern kitchen.

This is the only tool I have that will adequately blend
my All-One Vitamin Powder into milk and fruit juices.

So, basically, if I didn't have this item, I'd be less
healthy. Great product that lasts for years and years.

5-0 out of 5 stars charlie sheen endorsed it, so ...
yeah, that was the first time that i ever saw one of these hand blenders - in the movie wall street with charlie sheen, martin sheen and michael douglas.

anyway, this hand blender is amazing. i would not order the one with the whisk - why? because when you put that whisk into a put it spurts the batter all across your kitchen. how much fun is that? not much i tell you. but, having said that, the one with the chopper is ok, but really you are not going to be using it too much. you probably already have a food processor of some sort, and redundency is not something that i like in my kitchen.

so, to review, if you spend more than like 5 minutes in your kitchen get this awesome kitchen tool! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works great every time.
I bought this hand blender a few weeks ago and it works great. Makes excellent smoothies and cleans up very easily. My only complaint is that it won't blend ice - a fact that is missing from the outside of the box. You have to read the instructions before finding out.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good, not great
This boat motor does the job, but takes forever to get it done. Its limited power of 200 watts is a severe hindrance. Merely pureeing carrots in chix stock (quart total volume) left quite a few chunks after nearly 30 seconds of blending. It is however, easy to clean and quieter than your average blender or food processor. Do yourself a favor and get the Braun 430, with 50% more power and only a minor price difference.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must-have kitchen gadget!
I bought this product in order to prepare my special butternut squash soup this Thanksgiving. In the past, I've had to transfer the soup to a blender in order to liquify it to the proper consistency. This year preparation was SO much easier thanks to this Braun handheld blender. It works like a charm on smoothies, too. The best part is the easy cleanup--you just pull the attachment off the end and throw it in the dishwasher. It stores easily, too...as one who has grown weary of numerous large appliances taking up cabinet space, I appreciate that. ... Read more

Reach for this versatile tool when a stand blender or food processor is too big or inconvenient for the task at hand. The hand blender is compact (14 inches high) but powerful. Simply insert the stainless-steel blade at the end of the 5-1/4-inch shaft into a container and press the two-speed control. Blend smoothies, shakes, and other drinks, mix sauces and soups, emulsify salad dressings and mayonnaise, mince herbs and bread crumbs, puree fruits, vegetables, and baby foods, mash potatoes, and whip cream. 5-0 out of 5 stars Good Value for the Price
What a useful little blender/chopper! Much better than the old electric hand blender I used to own. I had the kind with two "beaters" that would spin. The mixer would often cause liquids to spray. The cuisinart csb-33 hand mixer's design prevents liquids from spraying and it's very easy to clean. Just a quick rinse under in some hot soapy water is all it needs.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart CSB-33 QuikPrep Hand Blender
Great tool for the price. Super to mix frostings, omelets, instant puddings. Cleans up easy enough although the blade does not detach. Worth the price!

5-0 out of 5 stars Haven't used the blender since we got this!
Great for quick milk shakes, fruit & yogurt smoothies, diet shakes (no clumps!), and more! We keep it out on the counter and use it daily. It *is* easy to clean. If used for something clumpy then run it in a cup of hot water, otherwise just unplug and hold under the faucet with hot water (tilt up a little, cup your hand under it so water gets inside blade area), then wipe down with a paper towel - just like that, BAM it's clean - simple.

Save the blender for margaritas, this does almost everything else, but it's convenient and quick to clean!

5-0 out of 5 stars Everything I wanted and more!
This little thing really does the job and does it well! I was looking for something to mix my protein drinks in the morning, baby formula in the eve, and some cooking stuff in between. It's got some serious power for protein shakes mixed with fruits. I've only been using 1/2 power for the shakes and lowest power for the baby formula. Real easy cleanup is one of my favorite things about this little delight. Very well built. Feels solid and easy to use. You won't be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars perfect
I just got my blender and used it for the first time. I made a soup of pureed vegetables. Previously I would have to pour some of the cooked veggies and broth into the countertop blender, then put that blended batch in a separate container while I added more from the main pot on the stove and so on. Generally slopping things around as I did it. Tonight, I cooked the veggies in the broth, then put the immersion blender in and whirred it all up right there in the pot. Perfect. Rinse the easily removeable blender attachment and viola! done! It was everything I wanted and more. It's powerful and quiet and beautiful. ... Read more
